First impressions are everything. This is possibly the WORST auto purchasing experience EVER. Came in on a walk in for a demo drive. A smarmy old car salesman was all, "if you drive it,you will buy it". He told me it would be 30 minutes and I could go in the lounge and they would come and get me. 40 minutes later (10 minutes after my scheduled demo) I headed to the front to see two people starting a demo. They decided to skip me. There were plenty of people there and only one person that worked there. She saw me as I was walking out in a huff and I told her that no one came and got me and the people just left for the demo came in after me. She said she looked for me in the lounge and missed me. (She never saw me before). I am a huge guy with tattoos and a big white beard so if she knew me, she would have saw me. So first impressions: smarmy, uncaring, and liars. The variability in performance by the service staff must be fixed! I call my local service center with the first person saying I must do it all through my app, embelished by a non personal approach. Once I got there I found that it was actually a senior member of the team who so easily dismissed me off the the phone. Frustrated, I went on the app and followed her instructions being told I would be able to do all these great things. The truth comes out and turns out its all garbage. I call back and this time Laura answers. She is an angel compared to the first person. She needed me to make an appointment through the app but it stopped there. She did everything else on the phone including providing estimates, sharing availability, all with grace and patience. I arrive to the service center and encounter the senior member, she again seemed to take a harder approach and only softened when I finally showed open frustration in the inconsistencies I pointed out. Not everything can be robotic/AI/electronic, this tesla service center should learn this asap. read more

Customer service is poor. They are like they don't care about the customer. They offer big lounge to sit but they don't offer a chair while talking to them. Because they don't want to listen. I have car taken from car dealership a month back. I come to this repair service twice. At first time, they are willing to talk to my insurence company to take the payment. Second time one of the service rep tried and almost trying to done the claim, but his co worker interfered and stop the process in between and saying that we don't do that any more. They let us take videos, photos, do lightshows, etc. I just really like tesla, and they had great customer service and that is a really fun place just to see Tesla and experience it. Cincy Tesla Sales Dpt is a hit or miss. Some members of the Staff are very nice, knowledgeable and know what they are talking about. A lot of conversations happe entirely over emails. However, I did have two encounters with newbies or co-ops, who pretended to know something, but had no clue, even with regards to speed of charging and other practical basic info. Tesla, especially Model X and S, is considered a Luxury Car, and I expect way more from the Sales Team. Would also like to see a more professional dress code here. The purchase experience is sub par, in general. There is no customer appreciation. You can read anecdotical stories of many customers on the net, I totally believe them, based on my experience and treatment. Had multiple issues with trade in value and obtaining a title. They also seem to be unable to make simple registration plate transfer (within state of OH), which is ridiculous. Upon delivery of the vehicle, I noticed a few quality issues with scratches and mirror. I know from other people that Tesla had major quality issues with door alignment, windows not closing, bumper paint not matching the rest etc, so I was on high alert. Luckily, they slowly seem to be going in a better direction and 2021 models are far better in this regard. Still, pretty embarrassing for such a major car player. The Service Dpt is amazing. I got an appointment to address the quality issues upon delivery. The Service Staff was super nice and accommodating. Very professional. You can set the appointment and check the progress on their app. The issues were addressed within 24h and I got a loaner for the time of the service. I was very happy to work with this particular Cincinnati Tesla Service Dpt. No complaints here, good job. If you are on a fence with Tesla, I can tell it is a great car. Going electric is the way forward. The engines are way more powerful in comparison to similar gas ones, the horse power on batteries is way higher. The conveniences of the modern technology are something I appreciate. In general, I am happy I switched and I feel good about my zero emissions. With the poor sales experience and excellent service dpt. experience, I am rating this Tesla Location at 3 out of 5. read more

Wow! Amazing, clean service today! Something hit the back window glass on Friday afternoon and a crack starting creeping up toward the rooftop. I went on my Tesla app and created a service request to replace the glass. The first appointment available was less than 3 days later on Monday morning @8AM, so I took it. Had to drive up to Cincinnati from Louisville, so I was hopeful things would go smoothly and it sure did. My car was good as new in 2 hours. I hit the supercharger for a little bit and headed back home to Louisville. Total repair cost $799, which I will turn in for reimbursement (I hope) from insurance. The Tesla lounge was open and everyone working there wore masks. Very clean restrooms and socially distanced seating while I waited. The service representative was so nice and so were the folks in the showroom when I asked them some questions. We have had our Model 3 for exactly a year and it's been nothing but a wonderful experience! Thank you, Tesla! I'm buying more stock! read more

Customer service experience: 2 stars Service&Repair experience: 5 stars Getting a Tesla is easily the best and the worst experience you will get. Tesla is still new and coming, with a lot of minor but annoying issues, which at this price point should not be acceptable, but they get a pass because the technology and innovative design are amazing. The Staff at this Blue Ash Location are pleasant and nice people and my review is not personally against them. But it is the Tesla's organizational arrogant principles, stemming all the way from tumultuous Elon Musk, that leave a bad taste in your mouth. In a nutshell: Tesla is like Apple: something that is cool and desired, so they know they can get away with a lot of nasty behaviour. Take it or leave it. And once you take it and pay them a lot of money, they often leave you hanging when a problem occurs. That is an issue of getting a car from an unestablished auto maker. Even though we did take it, I have to say the way they operate as an organization is not up to any par. My Husband and I decided to get a model Y in November 2019. At the time of our order, there were no cars ready to try, we were buying on-line and in the dark, based on the promises and renderings. The problem we had was the trade-in upon delivery. Tesla does offer a trade-in programme for any brand of the car, but their quote is only valid for 30 days. Our car was ready to pick up in March 2020, so after our initial quote. We did not read the fine print and we were unaware that they will re-quote our old car, despite the fact that we had almost no extra mileage and a signed purchase agreement. The new quote coincided with the Covid economic crash, so we got a very unfair, much lower value. I found this ridiculous, as even per Kelly Blue Book the value was higher. But this is Tesla. They have something you want and they don't care about a gentleman's agreement. Because of that, we canceled the first order and thank goodness we did, as several weeks later Tesla lowerèd the price on the model Y. The second time around, not only the base price was lower, but at that point we were actually able to get a test ride first and see what we were getting ourselves into. The delivery dates are now much faster and we picked up a car with no big surprises within several weeks. If you are picking up a new Tesla, do read some Reddit threads. Even at this price point, Tesla has incredible quality issues with simplest things, like paint inclusions, scratches, mis-aligned doors and windows and things like that. Sadly, they have this bad reputation now and they deserve every bit of excessive scrutiny upon pick up inspection. The good thing is that the Staff at Blue Ash was super understanding. They made notes of each flaw we noticed. We got a service appointment, which was great! Amazing quick service, all our issues with scratches or quality issues were resolved. Another poor experience was with the registration and titling. We asked for a registration and plate transfer. Something that every car dealer does and we never had a problem in the past with other cars. But for some reason Tesla was not able to accomplish that, claiming BMV would not transfer a plate, so they sent us a new plate after weeks and weeks of waiting. Now we needed to go ourselves and transfer it to our old plates that we specifically wanted to keep. This is a novice silly mistake, I have no words for it. Word of caution: many people, including us, experience issues when trying to insure Teslas, as their 2021 VINs are not showing in the system. Work closely with your Insurer to get that figured out. read more

I just spoke to Kimberly at Tesla of Cincinnati. I had driven a car and worked with Clare last week. Clare was off today. Kimberly asked if she could help me with anything. I asked that my husband and I come in this evening to test drive the model 3. She told me she would look for appointments and that she was booked today and had a 2 p.m. tomorrow. I explained that I had walked in and driven one last week. She repeated "I have a 2 p.m. tomorrow." I told her I was interested in a particular car on the lot. She said I wasn't allowed to drive that and continued interrupting with "I have a 2 p.m. tomorrow." She went on to say she only has 2 cars on the lot for test drives and they (again) were only available "at 2 p.m. tomorrow." She treated me as if I was old and stupid. I told her I could hear that she was getting frustrated with me. She was silent (no apology) I then said "forget it, I will go to another dealership." To that she said "okay" in a very unpleasant tone and I hung up. I know that Teslas are in demand but, is it really necessary to be so arrogant? As someone who was very excited about their buying adventure. She blew it. And, guess what, she could have cared less if I bought a Tesla. Wow...I am so disappointed. I was mislead to believe that I would get 7500 dollars off my purchase for the vehicle, but its only a credit based on taxable income. If I had waited until January I could have put a 7500 dollar rebate towards the vehicle, but they failed to mention that because they wanted me to make the purchase. The 7500 dollars was very important when I calculated my ability to pay the money, now things are gonna be tough thanks to them. I was also mislead over the phone when they said the credit is going away in January, when in reality I could have directly put the 7500 towards my vehicle if I had waited, very disappointing. Don't trust Tesla when you make your decision do all the research yourself before you even look at the Tesla website because its all very misleading. Once I ordered the Tesla they were very inflexible in regards to when I could pick it up and were very rude over the phone about it. Overall they basically just try to trick you into believing its a good purchase when in reality you could buy a different brand that offers good customer service, they aren't special, don't do it. read more

I'm very disappointed in the hand-off of my Tesla Model S at end of my lease. Much of the disappointment stems from miscommunication between the Sales Team in Blue Ash, the end-of-lease team with Tesla Motors, and the Financing Department. None of these departments gave me the same information and I, as the consumer, have had to deal with their false promises, false information, and lack of transparency. I've been dealing with the company trying to resolve this issue since October of 2018. I am writing this in Feb 2020. If you feel like dealing with company that is arrogant and does not honor its word, treats the costumer (a loyal one) like trash, than this is your kind of company. As for me, I will never own or lease another vehicle from Tesla and I will be telling everyone I know about my negative experiences with the company. I have already filed complaints and writing reveiws with the BBB. I may take it a step further. I'm that frustrated and ticked off. I just had the most unsatisfactory experience in customer service in a long time! - Kimberly who is the manger at Tesla just called to inform me I have until Sunday(3days)to pick up vehicle or she will unmatched me from my vehicle after placing the order last night(Friday). I understand supply and demand so the policy is not the issue. It was the lack of consideration of banks being closed over the weekend and more importantly, the delivery of the policy with words such as(paraphrased) "can't have a car sitting for no reason" as if I am not planning or able to buy with third party finance. "Other people ready to buy". I left this experience feeling unappreciated as a customer and Kimberly refused to provide me with a number to corporate to allow to complain. Customer Service at the Cincinnati Tesla branch: 2 stars Tesla (and other branches I've dealt with): 4-5 stars 2015 Model S Date: January 2020 I don't leave reviews often and full disclosure, I'm writing this based solely on a single experience, so take with a grain of salt. I was so disappointed that I waited to write this to make sure I'd have objective feedback. I also think this experience was based on the local manager and not Tesla (or other employees) as a whole. My parents drove from Cleveland in their Tesla (250 mile drive, Model S 85D), charging in Columbus. Their Tesla "died" with 60 miles left 500 feet from my house here in Cincinnati. We had the Tesla towed to the Tesla branch in Cincinnati. The front desk staff did not seem to know a lot about the process or timing, only stating that we should leave the car and the key with them. I asked for more information and the possibility of getting a loaner and they reluctantly called the manager who was in her office. She was apathetic and did not give any information, other than to tell us to call a rental agency and rent a car and they "may be able to get to the car on Monday", essentially leaving us stranded. This has happened in Cleveland in the past and they have always been very reassuring, and gave my father a loaner, despite the fact that the car itself has been out of warranty, though it does carry an 8 year unlimited mile battery and motor warranty. I ultimately gave my dad my car to drive back to Cleveland. Oddly, he called the Cleveland Tesla branch and they dropped off a loaner Tesla at their house!!! I love the Tesla brand and am a loyal Tesla owner. I talked my father to buy a Tesla, which he did solely based on my recommendation. We both bought our Teslas from the Cleveland branch and they have been very good as far as customer service and making us feel safe in owning a Tesla. I think Tesla is ahead of the curve by miles - but with new EV's coming out, the superior service of other car manufacturers such as Audi, Porsche and (gulp) Chevy will hit Tesla's customer base hard. Before this experience - I would buy and recommend a Tesla to anyone; I would think twice now. read more

No call from the service department for 3 days, when promised to get back to us in a "couple of hours". Best car experience Ive ever had! It's not like a car dealership where you come in and instantly have 5 salespeople all over you trying to sell you not so great cars. It's more of an Apple store in the sense of it being a technological showroom where you can come in and play around with the cars and have a chat with the sales team (who are all fantastic). Don't expect help from Cincinnati Tesla Service and Chris working counter. Pothole, bent rim, huge knot on side of tire (thanks autopilot) and 3 hours from home where the closest service center is 3 hours away ( Bardstown, KY). Wanted to just buy a rim and a tire so that I could get home safely and not endanger myself and others with possible blowout. Chris states in a very arrogant manner, "We are too busy today and the next couple of days, it will take hours before we can even get you in, if at all. This is at 11 in the morning. Can you even just tell me if you have a rim and tire in stock and I will put it on myself so that I can get me and my family back home?, I asked. His reply: It wouldn't matter if in stock, we don't have time to mount and balance if we did. To check stock and to have service personnel mount and balance a tire on a rim would take less than 5-10 minutes and you can't even do that. Paying 80 thousand dollars for a performance model 3 in September and they can't help to get me home safely, not spare 5-10 minutes? I have never experienced such arrogance and lack of help in all my years dealing with BMW and Porsche Service Centers. read more

Yeah this was one of the most disappointing car sales experiences I have ever had. I really wanted to support Tesla and they pride themselves in being a tech-type company. And it is clear to see that car sales is not their forte. Here I was willing to drop $100K on a new Model S but the complete and utter lack of responsiveness from the sales folks and the horribly crap tradein value being offered made for an eye-opening car buying experience. Moreover the Tesla buying process is so broken that they expect you to purchase a vehicle online and then wait for at least a month and a half to get delivery. In the meantime minimal help is offered if you do decide to lose your existing vehicle to their trade in offer. A very broken system and the fact that sales folks just don't care to respond and act like these young kids who are better off doing something else, has put a very bad taste in our mouths. Perhaps this EV dream will have to wait for sometime until someone else comes along. read more
