I was on a 17 consecutive-day heritage travel trip to Scotland and did not bring clothes cleaning items. I looked at the offerings and did not find any travel size, so I went with some food items instead. They had both in-house prepared food offerings as well as packaged brands. The parking lot was large and I sat in my car eating my food. No one seemed to mind. I also withdrew money at an ATM on the front of the building, conversion was covered at withdrawal and I had no issues with the withdrawal processing. Pricing was good, workers were kind, and the store easy to navigate. The overall feel of the place reminded me of a grocery store we have in Washington State (United States of America) called Haggen. It was also a grey day on my visit, which added to the overall feeling of home as I come from a place with lots of cloudy weather as well.

But even if not, this is one of the best options if you need to do grocery shopping. It's a big store and the parking lot always pretty full. But there's always a spot. In summer you will be greeted by dozens of midges the moment you step out of the car - aggressive little buggers. So if you need to wait for somebody, best to stay in the car. There are mixed reviews about this shop. And at first glance one can see why. The store looks a bit dated, a bit run-down. And inside there are several shelves empty or at least close to being empty. But this is mainly because there's a huge number of visitors doing their shopping here, so naturally stuff gets sold out. And whenever we went, it was always packed here. But it is actually a very good store this one. We were suprised by the good quality of all the meat here (rump and sirloin steaks, lamb, bacon, duck) and the variety of the food. All real good value. Ok, the wine section didn't blow us away, but had some enjoyable stuff. We found what we've looked for: soda, water, milk, rice, pasta, veggies, fruits, crackers, bread, eggs, guacamole and hummus dip, wine, Prosecco. Made some enjoyable dinners out of these ingredients.

Yay, another good Tesco…read more Tesco, always our choice for groceries on this Road Trip. We were staying a few miles away with no food around. So we went to this branch to get some sandwiches, b'fast for the next day, wine and desserts. This one is one of the bigger branches. Got all we looked for and then some. Found some really good sandwiches - a bit more expensive - but worth it: It's from the Tesco finest - line. New York Deli Black Pepper Pastrami. Good stuff! Our choice of wine made us happy - as usual. For 7-10£ a bottle you really can get an enjoyable bottle.

There is also bays for you to do water and air. Unfortunately there is no car wash within this little petrol station. It is a 24 hour filling station, which is good for late night travellers. Inside there is everything for yoru car care needs, from oil and screenwash to air fresheners and wiper blades. They also have snacks and refreshments, drinks, crisps/sweeties, and newspapers/magazines. there is also essentials available like sausages and bacon, milk and bread, buscuits and suck like, as well as toiletries. The staff are really nice, polite, and if there is any problems they will help in any way possible. I used this petrol station for my lunch, basically because the main store itself is over run with school children and is already busy with customers so would take forever, and it was quicker to go here than to walk into town. They have filled sandwiches and pies, sausage rolls etc on offer. The only downside to the petrol station is its entrace, when it is busy it's very busy and sometimes the cars are queued up on the entrance to the main shop, which then frustrates shoppers as well as those wanting to buy petrol. Above all though a very convenient little petrol station.
