Using my sat nav just to try find a grocery shop and I passed budgens and as I was trying to find a safe place to turn around I happen to find Tesco which to my delight had a big car park which was sign posted very well! So I got a great spot next to the entrance and at first grabbed a basket as I knew this was a small store but just going down one aisle I then decided I needed a trolley as there was more items you can get through this store! I ended up doing my whole weekend shopping which was great for me as I didn't have to venture anywhere else and the queues for the till was very short and staff were very friendly!
The issue with the Tescos is that unless you come at the start of the day after they have completed…read morea fruitful stocking night the shelves will be half empty, it will be mind-bogglingly busy and there may be stuff everywhere. However as this place is so huge you'll probably still find what you are looking for. Since I've lived in Oxford I've come here about a dozen or so times. We tend to try and stick to mid evening as the crowds die down a bit and they are not quite into their horrible restocking mode. Generally you can find fresh products and a wide selection of near everything (do not come to this Tescos if you are looking for home goods/ electronics/ etc). The prices as it is Tescos are decent. The staff are generally friendly as long as you're not getting the end of shift crowd. PROS: Large selection Good quantity of stock Price CONS: Gets ultra busy Leftover stock can be of bad quality Other side of the ring road.
This is known fairly widely as 'Big Tesco', to distinguish it from the Tesco on Cowley Road, and it…read morecertainly lives up to the name. It's got a huge range of items, although no adult clothing (other than underwear) or much in the way of electronics/media/toys, unlike even bigger stores. For groceries, though, it's got a lot to offer. Fruit and veg are of good quality and usually well-stocked. The deli and fresh fish counters offer a lot of choice, and they even have a large 'Polish food' section. They have two 'car trolleys' which amuse small (and big) kids greatly, and make the shopping trip easier with children who are too big for the trolley seats but too small to walk all the way around without whining. Staff are friendly and helpful, and offers on food are good value.

My favourite is the pasta salad bar because it's yummy and good value for money. They also have loads of fresh fruit and veg, a fish counter, bakery and a deli. I think Morrisons has the best quality food for the lowest prices. I just wish they did online delivery and opened a bit later.

Windsor had been crying out for a new supermarket. Somewhere that stocked more than a few gourmet…read moresandwiches, tinned olives and ice-cream. Somewhere central so you didn't have to get in your car everytime you needed a loaf of bread or some oranges. So congratulations to Waitrose for meeting that need. It took Waitrose a while to settle into their market. For a while, they tried to be more like a deli, with little discounting and not many customers doing a weekly shop. Either the credit crunch or a sensible reappraisal led them to introduce price commitments and reductions. While not there yet, I am sure what all local residents really want is Waitrose quality at Tesco prices, and if that's how we keep buying maybe Waitrose will start to provide.

Features a quick check out scan tool which customers can use to speed up shopping service. When we went to purchase goods there was quick service and friendly cashier. Absolutely terrible service!…read more I bought some biscuits off a reduced stand on Aisle 24 on 5th July, the whole stand was clearly labelled with reduced biscuits some were 50p and some were 60p. When I got home I checked my receipt and I had been charged £1.99 for each of them? I went back to customer services the next day 7th July and a very nice helpful Asian lady served me. She contacted the person working on aisle 24. An extremely rude little Asian man who was working on aisle 24 actually raised his voice and said that there were no biscuits reduced and that all his labels were correct. I can't believe how ASDA recruits such rude people!!!.

It's a shame really as…read moreit doesn't tend to get as much business as it could due to the actual supermarket being situated less than 2 miles away towards J3. However having said that, it;s great on a Sunday, as the larger store closes at 4pm, but this one is open until 10pm. It's well laid out, staff are suually helpful and friendly and they have some good offers aswell that mimic some of those availabel in the larger stores. Only problem is the parking, as there isn't a car Park so you have to rely on there being a space on the road outside to ull into. Also has a cash machine (free withdrawls) outside which is very handy!
