The check out assistant was extremely rude. It ruined my visit to the store. She had no self reflection. Extremely disappointed.

Shocked by the way I was treated in store by a customer service assistant. I paid for my shopping at the self service and thought it was a bit expensive so on checking my receipt discovered I had been charged for a jogging suit at £16 which I did not buy. Before leaving the till area I pointed this out to the girls on duty and was told to go to customer service for a refund. Walked straight over which must have taken about 3 minutes. Customer service assistant said that's strange but left and went to speak to someone else. After waiting for about 5 minutes I went over to her and she was with security going through the cameras!! I asked why and was told she was just doing her job. If she had checked the time on my receipt she would have known I didn't have time to leave the store and come back in. Or if she spoke to the girls at the self service are she would have known I pointed out the mistake to them before leaving the area. After a while she said come over and I will refund your money, didn't say a word to me and I asked if she knew what happened and she said NO!! I said it would be nice to get an apology for being treated like a shop lifter and again I was told she was just doing her job!! On getting home a friend said check your receipt against your shopping and it turns out the roast beef slices I bought came up as a jogging suit. So if customer service assistant had checked my shopping she would have seen what happened, a mix up with bar codes. So I was treated badly due to a Tesco error. Customer service is appalling. read more

Nice store, but bit tad oversized! And the parking is terrible, very poor, as it is combined with Silverburn Shopping centre, and they tends to get mixed up Int he store, it is huge, and I have known that it is the most biggest Tesco Extra in the region of Scotland. I do like shopping in there, but it is far too big, and there are hundreds of selections of foods. Too many choices, and it is not great to decide on which one you actually want, for eg, for tomato sauce, you have to decide which tomato sauce, as there is around 30 varieties on shelf! like tomato with garlic sauce, or tomato with whatever sauce and so goes on! But nice store, and the exit system are very poor, as I have noticed there is a number of new people coming in finds the entrance is easier, than compared to getting OUT of the car park Very poor signpost! read more

Giant and soulless says Joe P. Well, I've got to agree. When I first moved to the UK this is the supermarket where we did our weekly shop on a Sunday night and it was just awful - I hate the layout of this store, nothing is in a logical place and for the massive size, they have a weirdly small range of stuff. First up, at least half of the store isn't actual groceries. There's clothes, electrics, games and books. There's also now a Giraffe off to the side, and a range of slightly strange Tesco-add ons at the back. If you're coming to do grocery shopping, walking around will be an effort in itself and that's not taking into account actually trying to find anything. I find the fresh produce area really dismal - everything is presented poorly and doesn't really inspire you to want to eat fresh and healthy. The rest of the supermarket is packaged foods and even though there's aisles upon aisles of food, I actually think they have a pretty small range. I was here tonight as I was hoping to buy a juicer but they didn't have it in-store so I had to buy it online. We did end up buying a much-needed new vacuum cleaner instead (Henry) so for that kind of purchase where prices are around the same as what you'd pay online it's perfectly reasonable. Note: the carpark is for Tesco customers, and if you stay more than 3+ hours you'll get a fine. With the new Cineworld at Silverburn I'm not sure where you're meant to park, but don't park here! read more

This is a great big Tesco..... rumour has it if you walk all the isles you have done 2 miles!!! Not sure how true that fact is, however parking is so bad at silverburn that you have probably walked 2 miles just to get to the front door It's well laid out, had everything you need and even an opticians, now I wear glasses and I have never thought of Tesco for my optometry requirements, tbh I never will! My little gem find was the krispy Kreme donuts that they now sell Left for the long walk back to the car quite happy, I'd never come here for a big shop however...... can you imagine having to take all your shopping half way around the world to pack it in the boot. read more

Nothing wrong with the store as such but I'm giving it a balanced 3 stars. It has everything you could possibly need/want. The electrical, homeware and clothing departments are massive. There's also a huge beauty/toiletre section which is the only bit I quite like about the place. Although I'd say it's fun for the beauty junkie in me and when I want a browse - not when all I want is deodorant and it takes me 10 minutes to find it! Not to sound ridiculous but I don't like it because it is HUGE. For going to do your food shop it's actually overwhelmingly large and takes me way too long. Maybe that's because I don't go often so I'm not familiar with its layout. Even so, if you went weekly I still don't know how you'd remember where everything is! Again, it does have everything but if you need to get in and out quickly this is not the place for you. read more

Tesco Tesco Tesco Their everywhere ! Well Tesco Silverburn is MASSIVE i meant you look at from the outside and go wow thats big but thats nothing untill you go in! The layout of the shop is first class and very easy to find your way about ! You have the cafe, electronics, bakery, butchers, fishmongers, clothes, general food, books & magazines, confectionary, well you know the rest that goes with a shop i mean i could spend hours in this shop and i never seem to get bored and to be fair i love going at night, during the day is very busy and night is quiet not a soul to be seen! I also love the self service checkouts although sometimes annoying it gets the que down very quickly. It's a Tesco, There isn't a lot that can be said about them. Good size good range of products. Everything from basic gardening products to towels, Electrical products to cookware. They have an opticians, phone shop and travel money area at the rear of the store. Hot food counter, takeaway area, deli, cold meat, cheese, butcher and fishmonger. I get a little annoyed when the close off the second exit as it is far more convenient if you park at that end of the car park. Plenty of parking however it can be very busy on a weekend or in the run up to Christmas as it shared with the Silverburn shopping centre. They have a petrol station too which can be handy. It is situated right off of the M77 so has very easy access to the motorway and into the city. read more

This place used to be better and in my mind - bigger. I know the second bit is not true but I still remember when our car turned the corner. Silverburn was still under construction and the size of the Tescos took our breath. "That is no moon, it is a space station". my wife heard me mutter. When you first entered, the back wall was covered in flat screens. All of that has gone now and the place just seems a little smaller. But within these walls there is a massive amount of variety. It probably has the best selection of Indian ingredients outside of an ethnic specialty shop. KRK would beat this place but try to buy a pair of trousers and beers at KRK. So, there is more and more of it. It is not just a Tesco Metro on steroids. The number of checkouts means that exiting is fairly painless experience. Everybody seems to cluster near the far end to pay. Quick tip - wander down to checkouts 21 - 19, most folks tend not walk this far, they are usually empty. The older ladies here will be quite happy to see you. As long as you do not have an item that requires a security tag removed. Are you contributing to the death of your local shop by shopping here? Probably. Does your local shop suck? Probably. Try to buy a sweater and a flat screen from your local Spar. A Spar clothing section? I am currently shuddering. read more

Massive store!!! Its Scotlands biggest Tesco store and it shows - everything you could need is here! Household appliances, DIY, F+F clothing, books and media, currency exchange and thats before you start on the food. Loads of choice! Everything from the Tesco Value range all the way up to the Premium ranges! It has a really nice cafe and you can order stuff from the Tesco cataglogue too. There is a petrol station too - just remember your Clubcard for your points! read more

This tesco is pretty huge! It has electricals, dvds, home ware, garden ware, clothes, food, stationary etc etc feels more like an american Walmart than a uk supermarket! Its clean, brightly lit, staff are friendly and helpful and have good offers on! TIP: If you go between 11pm - 1am the store is empty, the food is normally reduced since thats when they do their shelf cleanups and you can get round it much easier. read more

A huge Tescos, with lots of choice of food, clothing, electricals and household goods. Most Tesco supermarkets are the same and have a standard layout and stock. This one is a bit different as well as more on the shelves, they stock a wider range of foods from around the world and at good prices too so it's a great chance to get creative and be adventurous and try new things! The only negative aspect of this Tesco is the parking a victim of its own success. It's the same with the whole of the Silverburn complex there doesn't seem to be enough parking spaces unless you want to park much further away, which isn't as convenient. But if you can be patient with queues of cars, this place is well worth a visit. read more

To say this supermarket is massive would be an understatement. There is far too much choice and if pushed I would like to describe it as a department store rather than a supermarket. When it first opened there was no Silverburn and it was quite a leisurely place to park at and shop in, albeit I really have to discipline myself not to buy a bit of everything. Now that Silverburn has opened I would avoid at all costs. Parking is a nightmare and it is just far too busy to be stress free. If you must visit this supermarket you'll be pleased to hear that you can also get your fuel here and visit the Silverburn Shopping Centre at the same time. I wouldn't advise Christmas shopping here though or nipping in for a quick pint of milk on the way homeit'll take less time and be kinder to use your local newsagents! read more

This is the biggest Tesco I have ever been in - it is huge and has everthing you could possibly be looking for in a supermarket!! The shop is bright and clean and staff are very helpful. Queues at the checkouts are never too bad. I think that the Silverburn centre is a fantastic shopping centre. It's large and modern and has been very well designed. Whilst it can busy at times, there is plenty of space inside the centre with wide boulevards which don't get clogged up with people and pushchairs. The shops themselves are made up of the usual high street names but I really liked that there is a much better choice of places to eat than normal shopping centres. There is a Wagamama and a La Tasca to name a couple. The only negative is that there can often be a bit of a queue of traffic to access the centre and it can sometimes back up onto the motorway causing traffic problems even for those not going to the centre!! read more

Enormous store, I could quite happily while away the hours in here. The range of products is outstanding with everything you would expect in a supermarket and the rest! Books, toys, clothing, electricals, household, entertainment, you name it, they've got it. You can also order from the direct catalogue here and have online orders delivered here for free if you spend a selected amount which is very handy for me. Staf are pleasant. read more

It's a giant, soulless supermarket. More expensive than Morrisons but not as good quality as Sainsburys, Tesco finds itself without much direction at the moment. That's probably why there's a giraffe restaurant (which they own) attached to the store, and a new eyebrow threading/makeup therapy zone. Very strange. Good selection of food but I only come here if I've got some really good clubcard vouchers to use. Oh and the Tesco Double IPA. Which is brewed by BrewDog at a whopping 9.2% yet only costs £1.99. It's amazing and one of the hoppiest beers you can buy. read more

Ok this is a huge store, but along with that comes great offers, and a fab selection of foods. I love the fresh fish counter, and all the herbs and spices they sell, what a variety. I dont like going here when its busy, weekends and fridays, except late at night, easier to get parked then. I es,pecially like the home and wear dept. Be better if it were a wee tad smaller. Not too keen on their cafe, too much like a warehouse. But all said and done, it provides good! read more

Very large Tesco with a lot of goods other than food and drink. Section for TVs and electronics, lots of clothes, homewares, toys etc. Generally well laid out but it can take a while to get used to it due to the sheer size. Always a lot of staff on the checkouts so you never have to queue for longthe checkouts near the main entrance tend to be the quietest. Open 24hours but you can be in for a wait if you try to access the customer services desk out of usual hours. read more

I think this is the biggest supermarket I've ever been in!!!I first went here last year and it took about 2 hours to get around the whole place..very impressive.They have a huge choice of Homeware/dvds/electrical equipment and clothing.I often get really good dvds from here at bargain prices.They also stock some things that you think you can't get anywhere else.There are a huge number of parking spaces so you wont have a problem getting parked.Staff are pleasent enough and will help you where they can.They also have a cafe which does some nice food. read more

As everyone else has said, this is definitely the largest Tesco store I have ever seen, have heard that it is perhaps the largest in Europe! The range of stock is reflective of this, with everything from digital TVs to clothing instore. Tesco are now trying to expand into other areas, they've recently opened a travel centre in this store selling insurance and holidays. As the store is open 24 hours and is right next to the motorway, it's very convenient to drop in on your way past. It is generally well stocked, I've never had a problem with them not having items (except around Christmas!). Parking is plentiful, as the Tesco has it's own dedicated car park. There is also a tesco petrol station onsite. The nearby Silverburn shopping centre means you can pop in and do both your grocery shopping and other shopping at the same time! read more

This is a very large Tesco and i found it quite pleasant to go around. Along with the usual items you would buy for your weekly shop including meats, eggs, milk, bread, frozen produce etc. It also stocks dvd, cd, electrical items, magazines, toys and of course clothes. The staff member i was served by was friendly enough. I also got some petrol here as they have a petrol forecourt. read more

On the plus side it is a very large store, packed full of items. The downside is that, as mentioned elsewhere, the layout does seem a bit haphard and random. Staff refilling sgelves often leave their palettes in the middle of the aisle, making it more difficult to get past with your trolley. The biggest problem however, is that you often have to queue to get into the car park, and then hunt around for a parking space when you finally do get in. As it is a 24-hour shop it is best to try and avoid peak times if possible. read more
