Our long relationship with Blackmarr's is a tale that could have frustrated us, but where exactly…read moreare we going and what is our risk? It's a story made for cocktail parties. We came here to look at furniture, and discovered that the displays are absolutely wonderful. When we asked about fabrics and customizing our order, they had an impressive array of choices that blew the doors off the competition. When we balked at our original price estimate they agreed, and without a beat moved to another line that met our price objective. The quality seemed about the same, and the deal they gave us was about twice the furniture as our original choice. We ordered two barrel chairs and a wraparound couch for the living room. The time to manufacture the chairs was longer than they were accustomed to, because of the epidemic raging the country. The two barrel chairs and half of the wraparound couch arrived a little after the estimates said they would. But half the wraparound couch was the wrong color. Blackmarr's followed up and found out the manufacturer would build us a replacement wraparound couch immediately. When the replacement arrived in town, but just to be on the safe side Blackmarr's decided to inspect the shipment. No joy, the manufacturer had shipped the wrong furniture again. Another few months went by, and about the time we were going to follow up we got another call from Blackmarr's. Yes, the right part had arrived, and they would deliver it to our house immediately. As we all held our breath, the couch part was fitted into place. The color matched perfectly. As perfectly as if the original mis-shipped part had been found and re-routed to us. Through all this ordeal, we had the impression Scott and Lindsey at Blackmarr's were just as concerned, if not more so, than we were. They did what a very good merchant would do to keep our future business, with discounts and gifts and cards, and we were positively impressed. Yes, they have kept our business, and we will be shopping there in the future. I won't tell you who the furniture manufacturer was, but I'm sure Blackmarr's will be steering you to better suppliers.

I'm not sure whether to describe this place as bad taste, or as no taste. But in either case, this…read moreis not good. If you go into a decent furniture store, it should look pretty right as you enter it. Well, this place looks like you walked into the Salvation Army furniture store. Which would be fine if they had Salvation Army prices, but no! A two-seater leather sleeper of very undistinguished appearance will cost you close to $7000. Dining room tables are sold for $6000 - $10,000. If they were works of art, then yes that would be a price you would expect to pay. But they are not even attractive, much less artistic. My own recommendation is that you need to drive down to Phoenix. I highly recommend Copenhagen Imports, on Camelback. You will see pretty sights when you walk into that store. And, at the higher end of what this miserable Sedona establishment offers, you could buy fancy furniture are Roche Bobois. Yeah, these require driving to Phoenix, but what can I say. You can buy good art in Sedona, but you should drive down I-17 to buy decent furniture. Let me repeat. A furniture store is easy to judge. Just walk in the front door and cast your eyes around. You should see "pretty." If you don't, time to move on. It would be nice to support local Sedona businesses. But they have to be good.

The staff at Sedona Digs worked with us to find the right dining room table and chairs, carpeting and more in our budget. If they didn't have exactly what we were looking for then we reviewed manufacturers' sites to select well-made pieces of furniture made in the USA. They delivered the furniture and set up everything to look great. Our new dining room table (made by the Amish) and chairs are beautiful and so nicely made. We've gotten many compliments! We truly like the customer service and friendly staff. Happy to support a local business too!

Their collection of luxury items is also wonderfully curated. I also love that they emphasize sustainability by offering perks for bringing their reusable pink bags. They honor these deals, demonstrating integrity in every aspect of their business. And of course, their overall model is sustainable by being second-hand so it is a WIN-WIN! Their staff is also very kind. Kiki always has a smile on her face and makes the store very welcoming. Coming back to this store with my mom again and again is such a lovely experience because of the care the owner and staff put in. Overall, this is a MUST-STOP in Sedona!
