This dentist did so much terrible work, I had to spend 14k to get it all repaired years later.
When I was about 21, this guy who his receptionist at the time called "Dr. Root Canal" decided the best course, and of course most profitable course of action was to crown 15 teeth. My young naive self not knowing any better, and literally being dumb enough to choose a doctor because he had the same name as the guy on MASH, I agreed.
Fast forward, 8 years later, I am 28 with a jaw infection threatening my very life. Swollen up like the kid from "MASK". Why? Because Dr. Winchester drilled so deep he literally broke the bottoms off of every tooth he touched. Which wasn't a surprise, after having been given two mismatched front teeth, and having a number of teeth either needing the crowns replaced, or needing extraction and replacement entirely.
In addition to this, his terrible dentistry and busting up my entire mouth at such a young age, caused a number of abscesses ( remember him breaking the bottoms off of every tooth "dr Root Canal" touched?) which caused me to require bone graph to repair, especially near the sinuses.
Going to this guy was always torture. No Nitrus, no pain management, and after a shot of Novocaine, that's about your day. And if the Novocaine doesn't kick in, it's "Well, when the tooth is abscessed Novocaine won;t work, you'll just have to tough it out.", which I have learned since then is total BS. I remember this guy putting a knee on the chair, while tears silently rolled down my cheeks, and he performed a root canal. Like, 1920's dental experiences my grandparents told me about. This guy is terrible, I would sue him if I had the ability this many years later.
And the receptionist at the time was a total ditz. And she would ASSIST this guy in procedures. Just chatting away about her day and life, etc. Which is fine, but she could barely keep appointment times and orders for crowns together. I cannot tell you how many times this woman absolutely wasted our time by going so far as FORGETTING to book appointments or give me prescriptions the doctor had written for antibiotics.
Worst-Dentist-Ever. Going to him more than once should be considered an act of self harm.
Sincerely,
A 35 year old man who has to wear dentures because of this quack. read more
