I sufferer from severe sleep apnea, I was in the process of having an implant put into my chest when I was referred to Dr. Plummer. We spoke and she recommended an EMA appliance to wear while I'm sleep to help combat the developed apnea. I was afraid but I tried it and the first night was amazing. I'm was scared to not use my CPAP machine. To my surprise, I awoke with no headache or throat soreness. I taped myself the following night and detected no snoring. This review is long overdue. I don't recommend this facility nor Dr. Plummer. This story goes a long way, but it started here. In 2015, I saw Dr. Plummer for a checkup and cleaning. I was behind on my cleanings and she was in the neighborhood, allowing me to walk. She told me in an x-ray that my tooth, which I've come to lovingly refer to it as #31. I had an old filling, she said, that had gotten some decay under it. She needed to pull the filling out and work on it. Trusting her, I agreed and made a follow up appointment. This is where the fun begins. Keep in mind, at this time, I am in zero pain. We start the process, she's drilling away. At one point she stops and tells me she's at the top of the nerve cavity and that I might need a root canal. She was going to try to avoid it. She said everything worked out, put in a filling and put in a temporary crown until the permanent one came in. Seems standard at this point. That evening, the pain started and it was unbearable. I called, she said my bite for the temporary crown needed to be adjusted. I felt like something else was wrong, but I went in, had the bite adjusted. And again the next day, and again the next day - by this time, my face is noticeably swollen. She prescribes pennicillan. The pain continues to worsen. I asked for a referral to an Indodontist but they refused, saying I just needed to adjust the bite for the temporary crown. A colleague of mine's dad was a dentist and he offered to take a look free of charge. He took a look and within a minute, he said he needed to do a root canal right away. He started right then but had to stop part of the way. He said my roots were bent and he couldn't continue, but would get me out of immediate pain. He did just that, he put on a temporary crown and suggested I see an expert to finish the root canal. I was referred to a wonderful Dentist in midtown who took a look at the x-ray and said I needed a specialist because #31's roots were bent. I was floored. This was why Dr. Plummer couldn't perform the root canal, she had to have known right out the gate that she couldn't do it but instead kept "adjusting the bite" for a temporary crown. It took 5 visits and $4000, but the dentist in midtown got it taken care of with the help of a skilled Indodontist. The kicker here is that the midtown dentist warned me that there was an infection where #31 was, resulting in bone loss in my jaw. They said with the root canal, and time, this would all heal. Things were going fine, the bone seemed to be healing. I was in no pain. I called to get a scheduled cleaning with midtown dentist. He takes a look and gives me the sad news that the infection has returned and is spreading to the next tooth. I now have to have #31 extracted and a bone graft to repair the bone in my jaw. To me, all of this would have been fixed in 2015. All of this would have been avoided if this had been done properly, if an infection hadn't been allowed to fester and grow, and if I had just had a root canal when I asked for it the first time. Dr. Plummer knew she couldn't give me the root canal, so instead of referring me immediately, she continued to let me come in (charging insurance each time) to "adjust my bite" which I now know was not the issue. This has cost me over $5000 at this point, and is likely going to run me another $5000 or more. read more

OK I thought I was going to have to give MYSELF one star for even thinking of buying a coupon for a massage and facial from a dental spa in an office building. I immediately face palmed myself after I realized the possible stupidity of my purchase. However, being the brave soul I am and a person who generally hates wasting money, I decided to use my coupon. My only complaint was that the booking was not entirely easy. Their calendar is generally full and I had to wait for them to call me back to schedule me since they couldn't just schedule me on the phone. Even then, I had to wait 4-6 weeks out for a good Saturday. I was the only one there and regretted my decision as I walked up to an office building/dentist office for the most unlikely spa treatment. The massage was so good and the facial was so nice that I literally couldn't form thoughts when they were done. So much so that I couldn't do math and instead of tipping my normal 20% I accidentally gave 50% and only realized my extravagant baller tip later. I'd definitely go back but I can't imagine the spa experience on a normal dental day so I'll opt with Saturdays. read more

In a recent sports related injury, I had to find a dentist FAST. Dr. Plummer and Dr. Rasvi could not have been better dentists! I was seen the same day due to my situation (a Tuesday). I got lost on the way there, and even with me begin 45minutes late, Dr. Rasvi took time to carefully examine me and explained to me what my situation was, even gave me her cell phone number. On Saturday, when my situation didn't improve, I rang Dr. Rasvi and she recalled my case and immediately called the Pearland office. Dr. Plummer then extended her Saturday office hours just to examine me and give me the prescription that I needed. The staff followed up with me after a week just to check up on me. Dentistry could not get more professional/caring than this! read more

I have never understood the negative stigma of a dental visit. Apparently I have never been to a bad dentist, sad to say after my visit to Dr. Plummer I have experienced the traumatic dental visit. I purchased the Living Social deal, since I no longer have dental insurance, for this location because it came with a cleaning not just the whitening that come up on most Living Social or Groupon offers. It came with cleaning, x-rays and the custom whitening trays. When I called for an appointment I mentioned the Living Social deal so they would know what the appointment was for, however they had several different offers with the Living Social type companies and she did not know the specifics of the one I purchased. I arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early and filled out the expected amount of new patient paperwork, which included questionnaires on sleeping habits. Strange but apparently they provide sleep therapy along with their spa treatments. I waited for 30 minutes past my appointment, despite their being no other patients there. So I have no idea why I was left waiting. The general problem with this dentist is oh man is it painful. During my cleaning Dr. Plummer cut my gums with the floss, she was bearing down so hard. I felt it for a good two weeks afterwards. Ouch! If you have any kind of reservations about a dental visit do not come here! My secondary complaint is towards her dental assistant. He came in for the custom trays and my x-rays. I requested the neck protector for the x-rays, which they didn't have. I insisted on having a cover for my neck to the point that I would refuse the x-ray unless he found a solution. He brought in a second cover to awkwardly wrap under my chin. I am high risk for thyroid cancer and I don't need any unneeded radiation to that area. I informed him of why I was so concerned, because new cancer research has been published that dental x-rays are causing thyroid cancer. He argued that its low radiation and there's no way that could happen. Well even small amounts of radiation cause cancer, especially when dentists insist you get those x-rays every 6 months! I get very irritated when people speak as if they are experts when they have no education on the subject. He is just a dental assistant, not an Oncologist much less a Cancer Researcher! read more

I went to Dr. Plummer to have a Marilyn Bridge re-cemented. Granted, these can be problematic, but I have had no issues with getting this service in the past. First, I was appalled by the placement of the bridge. It was not aligned correctly and I couldn't speak or close my mouth properly. I was so disappointed, I felt like screaming. I realized that she didn't ask me about placement before she cemented it - nor did she use the type of cement that I requested. So after seeing my obvious disappointment, she opted not to bill me for the service. That was fine, but the second part of this horrendous experience is that the bridge fell out of my mouth mid-sentence after 30 minutes!!!! I was mortified. Thank God I was talking on my cellphone and not holding a conversation in-person. This was the worst experience ever. Truly. And I soooo wanted to like this dentist and her Pearland facility. If I could give it 0 stars I would!!! Going to this dental office has been one of the worse experiences in my adult life. Let's start with Dr. Ronald Evans who shouldn't be a dentist. He gave my 6 porcelain crowns and totally messed them up. One was not inserted correctly and he said that he would fix them all not admitting his wrongs and being very rude to me the entire time after himself and the office got my money. He was rude, no empathy, frustrated, no patience and very disrespectful. He even pointed his finger in my face and told me to shut up. And called the police on me when I was told to wait for a response from them. Lies!!! Yea have a recorded proof of all of this..!!! Long story short. He did not fix my teeth and stated he would give me my money back the next day. It's been 1 month and I still do not have my money back. Him and his rude office staff ignore my calls or the few times they did answer my call I was either hung up on was told do not call with the mess. Dr. Plummer who is the owner is not doing anything to solve this as well, because THEY DO NOT CARE!!! DR. Evans SHOULD NOT HAVE HIS LICENSE PLEASE BEWARE!! Now I have e found a PERFECT dentist. Who I should have went to all along. She stated since one of the teeth were not inserted properly by him that bacteria has been growing. She is fixing the problem along with me paying extra unnecessary due to me not getting my money back from Dr.Evans as I was told!!! Dr. Cantu in Houston is the best so I would recommend her!! I'm taking legal action with a lawyer and reported him to the state of dentistry i will not stop until I either get my money back or until repercussions are made with him. HE SHOULD NOT BE PRACTICING DENTISTRY AND WARNING DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE FOR ANYTHING!!! Do NOT go here!!! I made a deposit for Invisalign and they never rendered the service/product!!! They owe me $1,000 and have given me the run around for 3 months, claiming a check "has been sent". Never thought I'd write a review for a dentist, but this place was so good, I had to. I came to Dr Plummer because I needed a new local dentist AND I needed a cap inserted. This was all previous dental work that was started before I moved to the area. I've had a few bad experience with dentists, so finding a new dentist is never a fun experience. Dr Plummer and her staff were EXTREMELY polite and helpful though. She contacted my periodontist in Washington state and didn't miss a beat on getting things taken care of. I couldn't be any happier with the cap installation, the cleanings, or the care that Dr Plummer showed. This seems odd to say, but I actually look forward to dental visits now! read more

I was a little worried when I pulled up to an office building, but the office itself seemed to be well decorated and nice. The receptionist was very friendly and offered my wine but I declined. The lady who did my facial was also very nice and friendly. She talked to me about my skin and gave me some advice on products to use while giving me my facial. I planned a girlfriend's trip to Houston and decided to schedule a spa day for me and my girlfriends at Maxwello Dental & Spa . There were five of us. Initially, I purchased in advance four groupons to get a 45 minute massage and 30 minute microdermabrasion facial. I called a week prior to confirm our appointments and everything seemed to be in order. I was told to arrive early to fill out paperwork and they will be serving mimosas, light snacks and music. We arrived at our scheduled time and the outside of the building did not have the look of a spa and I was certainly hoping that this would improve once we entered the suite. As we entered the suite the front desk attendant (Katherine) did not have a people friendly attitude and appeared to be in a grumpy mood. One of the girls did not purchase the groupon but still wanted services and called in advance to be added but once we arrived it was obvious during the phone conversation there was a miscommunication between her and Katherine. She stated she was unable to fit her in and again her attitude was very unfriendly and argumentative. We were shown to a room where we were to wait to be seen for our spa services. The room was a small room with wooden chairs, plain table cover and no snacks or music. Katherine proceeded to ask if we wanted mimosas and we replied yes. She bought out what looked to be wine mixed with orange drink/sunny delight or Gatorade. She stated that the owner was out of town the weekend and they were not able to provide us with any snacks. Since there were no snacks we were offered a coupon to order pizza that we would have in turn had to pay for out of pocket. We declined and ended up going to purchase our own food and snacks. Unfortunately this place was very unorganized and unprofessional. We were never given robes to change into. The massage was not bad but it was more like a rub down and the facial was ok but we have had better, it was more like a self wash with micro beads and very little moisture. After our massages we went back to the same room to sit in hard wooden chairs. This place was in no way relaxing and not worthy to be called a spa. They should stick to dental services until they are able to capture the true ambience of a spa. Do not go to this spa unless there is some drastic improvement in the service they provide. I was truly disappointed coming from Denver on a girlfriends trip to experience such unorganized and unprofessional service. read more
