I was examined by a lady dentist and following the exam I asked if she could approximate the cost and she said she would ask the girls up front to get an estimate. I went to the front desk to wait for the estimate. One of the ladies said 'Go sit down". I said "I am just waiting for an estimate so I will just wait here" She walked toward me and said: " I told you to go sit down" I said "I am your only client. I am Ok to stand while I wait" She then said "if you don't go sit down I am going to call the police". I mean I was stunned. I am an average weight and height 70 y/o female. I could not believe it. It took me about 10 seconds to realize that something was wrong and me standing silently waiting was not it. I left. I mean! What have we come to? I do not recommend this place unless you are willing to obey any request, regardless. This was quite a threatening situation...to get my teeth fixed. There are dental clinics on every corner. You could probably find one that would respect and appreciate your business. This one is not it!

After reading many reviews, I decided to give Dr. Morency's office a try. When I called, no one was available so I left a message and waited for a call back. My call was returned quickly and I scheduled my appointment with to come in. The lady that called me was very pleasant on the phone and answered all of my questions. On the day of the appointment, I was greeted at the front desk by the lady I had spoken to on the phone. She was equally friendly in person. She greeted me with a smile, collected my co-pay and let me know that the hygienist would be with me soon. After a quick wait time, I was retrieved from the lobby (which is beautiful btw) and taken back to a procedure room. I have periodontal disease and need to have cleanings done more often than most. After my previous bad experience, I waited a while before looking for a new dentist so I needed a major deep cleaning. After my teeth were examined, I was told that I needed a deep cleaning that would be a bit uncomfortable, so they would do it in two appointments. I appreciated that I wouldn't have to do it all at once. I had the first half done and scheduled to come back in a couple of weeks for the other part. The hygienist took her time with my teeth and made sure I was comfortable. She did a wonderful job explaining everything that she did. Dr. Morency was wonderful when he came in to say hello and numb my mouth. As a person that hates the dentist, this smooth experience is a blessing. I've had 3 visits now and every one of them has been amazing.

He has done work that, as an experienced dental patient, I consider exemplary. Now Chance Hunsaker is on the team. He is a brilliant dentist, who does meticulous and "cutting-edge" dentistry All told, I am very pleased with Drs. Hunsaker. Outstanding Office Manager Pam and other staff deserve much credit as well for adding to a superb dental experience. Highly recommended without reservation.

I was SO nervous when I went for x-rays and cleaning to Dr. Hunsaker but am happy to report that this was the best dental experience I've ever had! First, the hygienist was so sweet and extremely thorough. Not once did I feel uncomfortable, floss-shamed, or embarrassed. She did point out some helpful things that really just felt like welcome advice. When I saw Dr. Hunsaker, he had the sweetest demeanor and really spent time with me. We talked about my x-rays and - no shock here - definitely not 7 cavities as previously reported. I asked lots of questions and he gave me great input, clearly with my teeth as primary consideration instead of money. I left feeling like I could 100% trust him and his expertise. The only thing that I'm sad about is that I wasted 4 years that I could have spent under Dr. Hunsaker's care! Dentists on Dorrington is the best! Update: received a hand-written note from "Dr. Steve" himself, simply to thank me for choosing his practice. It was personalized enough that it is evident he remembers me and our conversations. What a sweet place!

I recommend in the strongest terms that you avoid this dentistry practice. I regret not having…read moreregarded all the negative reviews, which seem to follow a pattern and was true to my experience as well: very long wait time, no actual cleaning done on the first visit (which plenty of other dental practices manage to do no problem), trying to upsell you on expensive procedures not covered by insurance with an absolute refusal to do a standard cleaning that is covered by insurance. I will start by saying that the staff were certainly sweet and likeable (although I could have done without the casual chatty remarks about my advanced pregnancy, some unsolicited/random banter about how I must have actually wanted a girl instead of a boy and how I better not start contracting on the exam chair. I know it's just friendly banter and they mean well but it's really not professional or necessary). However, as the visit progressed it became clear that this corporate dental office is trying their darnedest to upsell you. They told me I needed an extra deep cleaning that would cost $500 out of pocket, which I was skeptical of, but considered might be the case because pregnancy does increase your risk of gum disease. But when my husband walked out with a similar set of recommendations and an anticipated bill of $600 out of pocket, the alarm bells immediately went off. We found it strange because the recommendation just doesn't add up given our regular habits and the sum of what varied other dental professionals have recommended each of us in the past--never anything like this. Again, look through the other reviews. Our experience is not unique. When we both insisted that we wished to simply have the regular level of cleaning--and said that the medical provider should feel free to document that as patients, we opted against their medical advice and requested the standard level of routine cleaning covered by our insurance--we were given a number of flimsy excuses, including the suggestion that the dentist who also saw me that day did not have the discretion to overrule her dental hygienist's recommendations, which is obviously nonsense. Anyway, we will not be returning and it's really frustrating to feel that we completely wasted 2 to 3 hours of our time.

Cons: I filled out paperwork two days prior but when I arrived at 10am for an 11am appointment, they said they didn't have the paperwork. I had to re do it. I was done by 10:30 am. I was not sent back until 11:20 am. I was then sent back to the chair and waited another 20 or so minutes for the dentist to look at my teeth for literally 2 minutes. Then, the dental hygienist comes and did an examination and essentially refused to do a basic cleaning covered by insurance, claiming I needed a deeper cleaning that I would need to re-schedule. Overall, I was 'done' at around 12:30 but it was unclear to me that they wouldn't do the basic cleaning until the receptionist broke the news to me. Reading other one-star reviews, this seems to be a pattern. I think they're nice, but probably have a lot of pressure to squeeze what they can out of insurance. I even talked to the dental hygienist, saying I'd rather get the cleaning covered by insurance ASAP since my wife and I are expecting a baby soon and I was already slightly overdue for my cleaning (~7 months) but they preferred to not give me care if they couldn't extract all the money they could from it. Additionally, while I was in the midst of waiting, I heard someone else come in, say that he'd had an appointment that was cancelled by them (the practice) several weeks ago and that they never followed up to reschedule it for him. Again, the receptionist especially was really nice and understanding of my frustration with waiting so long but overall, do not recommend

We've seen Dr. Kate twice for my toddler and she did a great job cleaning. thoroughly despite his tantrums. We also saw Dr. Paravani but she was not as thorough as she did not clean his molars. Right after our…read moredaughter's 1st birthday, we took her to West U Pediatric Dentistry for her first dentist appointment. We were expecting just an initial cleaning, counting teeth, etc etc but they caught us off guard when they told us she had a "very pronounced" lip and tongue tie and would need a procedure to correct both. They told us without this procedure, she would experience delays with speech and eating. They also said she would suffer breathing and orthodontic issues later in life. On top of this - they told us if we did not do this procedure within 2 months, she would have to be put under anesthesia for it since she would be too big to swaddle. We were given pricing and paperwork and told each procedure would be $1,500, more if we needed anesthesia. As you might imagine we were blindsided and our initial reaction was "we will do whatever it takes for our daughter", but felt uncomfortable with the entire visit so decided to discuss with our pediatrician first. Our wonderful pediatrician told us not to proceed with any procedures without a second opinion from a Texas Children's ENT. We scheduled with the ENT and saw her today. The doctor said her lip and tongue are both within the normal range and that we "shouldn't consider releasing either any time soon." She said there has been a national trend of overprescribing the procedure for lip and tongue release, and there is a national board that has now drafted protocols for when it actually needs to be done. She said our daughter doesn't meet those criteria by any stretch. She also asked how much the dentist was charging. When we told her $1,500, she said that was outrageous. She recommended we not respond to them and find another dentist, which we have already done. TLDR; get a second opinion and trust your instinct.
