I love the Spring!…read more Let me start off by saying... if you're looking for your typical western medicine practice with prescription drugs for each ailment, this is NOT it. Ali and her team use herbal supplements to get your body healthy. And, getting your body healthy takes longer than taking a pill for symptoms. If you're used to western medicine, know that a true wellness practice takes more time and isn't as instantaneous as you're likely used to. On the other hand, if you've tried everything to get healthy and you're still not feeling good, this place is for you! I was doing "all the healthy things" and still feeling poorly. Turns out, I had other things going on that I couldn't understand or resolve on my own. At least, not nearly as quickly. I'm grateful that I as referred to The Spring by a friend. I only wish I'd made an appointment when she first suggested it! I started attending The Spring for my health journey about 3 months ago, and my healing has been expedited in this time. I believe you find The Spring when you're ready for it. If you're overwhelmed and tired or trying to heal your body on your own, call The Spring and setup an appointment. Asking for help can be hard, but it's worth it!

But first you should know that Barbara has impeccable credentials: a Masters of Science in Nursing from UT and advanced certifications in Applied Clinical Nutrition and Holistic Health Counseling. Several months ago, I was tired and cranky and, well, I've got a list if you really want to know. Yet, Barb restored me to good health, no, GREAT health. I did take some blood tests and spit in a tube for her. Then, at her suggestion, added a number of nutrients and help aids to my diet. I'd do anything she asks because I know she is the real deal and will have the correct answers. And, if you spend just one hour with her, you will hear special stories. Such as the one where a dog lay in front of her office door until her assistant, Jennifer, let him in. He walked over to her, and laid down beside her. The dog owner came in and said, "I have recently developed breast cancer and my dog does not leave my side, yet here he is and I can't get him in my car. Is there anything you want to tell me?" To which Jennifer replied, "Yes." And proceeded to inform the woman about a new mineral she had researched for cancer. As soon as this was done, the dog got up and left with his owner. The real deal. And most definitely magical.

I have been in healthcare almost my entire life. When I moved to Austin I engaged with an Internist…read moreand was fairly satisfied until realizing she was not looking at my 'whole self'. I was working and stressed so much I just did not have the energy to look elsewhere but realized I really needed a change. Late last year I began looking for that change to a new provider and found Flora Medical Clinic. Again, I have had an intimate professional healthcare background and experienced many healthcare providers in my life but there are unfortunately too few who really care about their patients, listen and provide interest, guidance and explanation regarding why healthcare advice is being given. Dr. Kolte is one in a million. She challenges me to be what I have looked for to tackle my few health issues and her nutritional guidance is amazing. She cannot do this on her own so YOU need to listen and be willing to try, try, try. On top of Dr. Kolte's great professional and caring nature she then has a staff who is responsive, professional and kind. My last Internist I was lucky to get a phone call returned and the front desk receptionist always appeared unhappy. I am slowly making changes in my nutritional foundation to improve my health. I thought I was eating healthy and was doing what I was told over the last several years which is opposite of what I am now being guided towards a better nutritional way of thinking. Hey, we live in the South, I traveled so much for work (lots of restaurant food) but now retired early to finally focus on me. Dr. Kolte and her team are amazing. I always feel like someone cares when I leave my office visits. Folks, that is rare in today's healthcare world. I know. I have seen it across the states. Patience, caring, listening and allows questions. THAT is what makes her great. Namaste.

Let me start by saying that I've known some excellent doctors, and have had a couple of…read moreearth-shatteringly bad experiences as well. Dr. Julie Reardon has surpassed my wildest expectations of what a family physician CAN--and is willing--to do. I think that's in part because she is a phenomenal physician and person, and I suppose the Harvard education and work with Dr. Andrew Weil doesn't hurt. I'll add that all of the folks in her office are equally as competent and caring. If you are contemplating a visit to Dr. Reardon, it's because you haven't been feeling as well as you should--probably for quite some time. Your insurance-covered doctor has run some general tests that haven't shown anything all that extraordinary; and while you may greatly respect your PCP as I do, you realize that time and budget constraints limit the ability to which they can explore your issues. You may have been told that it's your impending menopause, or your weight, or that you perhaps should consider antidepressants. This is the state of medicine in our current era of managed care, and it's nobody's fault. Sometimes it just IS. Know that, if you can afford her services, "Dr. Julie" will leave no stone unturned in helping you find that road to recovery. She's not one of those "vanity doctors" who will hand you creams, diets, and vitamins to make you ageless and extra hot...although feeling better usually makes you look better! She's a serious, science-based physician with an uncanny ability to relate the typically unrelated, and see the "big picture" of your health situation. In our initial visit, she caught on to trending issues I'd never thought of before, including a potential genetic makeup that leaves me prone to certain problems with mood and energy level that are exacerbated by stress...and I've had a year of that! She ran a gamut of tests after explaining the purpose of each one, and uncovered a problem so critical it was a wonder I even had the energy to get out of bed in the morning. I am no less impressed with our follow-up discussions. She has referred to another provider for an area outside of her realm, and also recommended simple vitamin and supplement changes that will do me a world of good. At the same time, she's not that earth-crunchy guru that's going to mandate that that you live on purified air and chants...hers are moderate lifestyle changes for real people living in our everyday world. Dr. Julie doesn't take insurance, but that allows her to spend true quality time with the patients who sign on with her. I will say that, for the fees involved, I feel like it's been a very good choice for my healthcare dollars. I am finally getting some solid answers as to why I've felt HORRIBLE over just this last year, and I finally feel confident knowing someone's got my back while I take steps to get better. I think there are a lot of docs out there who dream of having a practice like Dr. Julie's--and she has made that dream a reality. When I think about how quickly Dr. Julie started "cracking the case", and all the co-pays and labs past that never quite addressed my issue, I realize that I have now SAVED time and money in the long run. What's more...I could have gotten REALLY sick were it not for Dr. Julie and her findings. She very well might have saved my future from being...well, not so bright. Thinking about calling for an appointment with Dr. Julie Reardon? I say go for it...you will NOT regret it, and you have everything to gain.

Although not a fan of many of my life choices the didn't "tsk" or such. She worked with who I am and made me better. In more ways than the lab work can show. Truly a healer.

Been going there for years... When I mentioned that I had gotten over Covid about 2 weeks ago, Hazel who isn't a medical doctor, told me that I really don't have any natural immunity and that I still needed a vaccine to be seen. Now correct me if I am wrong... Isn't the #1 oath of every doctor, is to, "do no harm"? Well denying a patient for this seems pretty harmful. Additionally, When someone says it isn't political, actually means that it is. Thank you for opening my eyes to your decision to discriminate against your long term patients and I will make it a point to let those we know far and wide where you stand... so that one day there isn't a completely new reason why you won't be able to see them either.

The biggest help has been acupuncture. She's the first person I've ever seen for it. The feeling after my first session was so euphoric. The most relaxed I've felt in a long time. After two sessions my overall anxiety is much better. I've had a twitch in my back for 4 years any time someone comes close to touching it and after one session where we focused on my back the twitch was significantly less intense.
