That I wasn't expecting at all and it's moments like that that make this very personal and give me an extra push to continue focusing on health. I read a recent review where the writer said the same information could have been obtained in a single book. That is not my experience. Yes, much of the information is out there but to sort through a world of information, apply it in a methodical and evidence based way, and at a pace that promotes true change, have a customized supplement plan based on ME.....if it was that simple I would have applied it all years ago and wouldn't be seeking help. And it's more than just knowledge, it's personal guides that each listen intently and provide support, more knowledge and suggestions, and yes, they keep me accountable. Change that includes nutrition, physical and emotional well-being, profoundly managing the impact of stress and so much more takes time and honestly is challenging And it's all intertwined. I woke up between 4 and 4:30 for months and became very familiar with just laying in the dark waiting for the day to start. If you have insomnia, you feel like a zombie. Everything good in life has a bit of a gray cloud over it when you can't sleep. Jobs, relationships, friendships, everything feels like too much energy when you can't sleep and yet somehow you have to show up for them (or at the minimum your job). I did a full work up, all the way to a CT scan of almost my whole body with my doctor at Kaiser, mostly for the sweating. They couldn't find anything wrong with me. Homeopathic doctors, Chinese herbs, hypnosis, it felt like nothing worked. A friend who had insomnia told me about Dr. Stella, and one frustrated day I reached out to her and booked my first appointment. I now wake up at my alarm :) on weekend, I sleep in. She brought up some of my soul misalignments which I was aware of, and connected them to some I was not aware of. I had been blocked in several areas of my life, and Lauren help to shed light on these areas. I quickly signed up for a 2 month life-coach program, which I have since renewed for an additional 3 months. Lauren is a life-coach/mentor/spiritual healer all wrapped into one. I have worked with other spiritual healers and Lauren is very different, in that she is mostly there to provide support for my soul while I do the work. She does some energy healing/clearing/chakra balancing, but only after her clients do their own work for several months. She does not "fix" her clients, she simply guides, supports and holds space. She has generated wonderful practitioner/client boundaries, and is still available whenever needed. Lauren is advanced in her practices and it did take me a month or two to get fully settled into the program, and understand her guidance. Now that I am fully comfortable, I am really enjoying the work and have experienced major shifts. Lauren combines the perfect amount of tough love and soft love, and provides a gentle kick in the pants when necessary.
