So Good!!!! The service was great and I love the ambiance…read more Checked out the "Burger Night in America" only on Thursdays by the way, special at Sports & Social, featuring Chef Mark Bucher. For $35 you get a massive burger, crispy fries, and full access to an all-you-can-eat salad and side bar. The Smash Burger and Chef's Secret Burger absolutely hit the spot. Come by to Thursday Burger Nights from 5 PM - 9 PM plus explore the rest of their menu throughout the rest of the week and weekend! I also heard their wings are the best in the city so if you beat me to it, definitely try it.

I stood by the sign that said "wait to be seated" for several minutes only for a hostess to come…read moreout and say the sign was placed there by mistake. I guess that's why she came at me more like "what do you want" as opposed to "table or bar?" Anyways, I ordered the BBQ beef on weck but it was salty and soggy. The Cole slaw was so plain and untangy. And I had to get up to ask for a fork. Only reason I ate this nasty food is because I was high and hungry. Only reason I stopped by was to watch the Bucks @ Wizards game and while they did have the game on the big screen, the audio was for a WNBA game playing on a different TV that nobody was watching. They might have better food and service on a different night and I'd really like to see it if they do because otherwise the place is chill and the TV screens are freaking ginormous.

Great spot to watch World Cup games if you've been looking around for options!…read more The space is fairly massive with plenty of screens, so even for popular games you'll likely be able to find a space to perch. I was concerned that for a highly anticipated match it might just be standing room only. But even with a 9pm start and a 9:30pm arrival, my friend and I both were able to find some seats. The bartenders were attentive while appearing to be laid back and kind. Even the food people ordered looked pretty good as well! If there is a good game on with highs and lows, the energy of the crowd really matches the energy of the game. Since there is so much space, those celebratory moments just feel joyful instead of overwhelming. Overall, nice lil vibe and I wouldn't hesitate to return!

AI MENUS AI MENUS AI MENUS AI MENUS…read more back once again at Franklin Hall. sigh. i hate to report that their usage of AI on their menu materials is absolutely ABYSMAL. it has only increased since my last visit back in December '25. franklin hall, listen to me: people notice these things, it looks unprofessional and cheap. do better. the beer selection is great, food gets the job done, and if you are into sports games, maybe you've already been here (if not, literally every live sport game is screened on their plethora of TVs). i've only been here twice, both for a friend's party, and until another one happens to host something here, I won't be going back to Franklin Hall. fix your menus. even handwriting them would be better than AI slop garbage.....

Went to watch a World Cup match, wisely made reservations online. There was nothing available…read moreindoors but was able to get an outdoor patio table (temps were decent with low humidity). Called as well for confirm that our table would be near a big screen table. When we got there we were led to our reservation, tv view and sound were good. We requested and got an umbrella for the table for shading. The menu had World Cup specials as well as the usual happy hour menu. The outdoor bar area had a water jug for free refills so we can stay hydrated. I got a Sauvignon blanc, and tried some spritz drink as well. Very fitting for summer. Staff came by often to check on us but were not intrusive. Indoor area was nice but too loud (glad we dined Al Fresco).

My spouse and I decided to treat ourselves on a beautiful Thursday night and - hold on - The Admiral was the place we selected. Ok, so it's halfway between our office and our house but even if it were WAY out of the way, we would gladly go there. The food is solid, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, the service is always perfection. This time I had the Filibuster Smash Burger. OMG so good! A 4 ounce burger patty topped with shaved steak, some sort of sauce that kept it moist and tasty and some veggies to make my doctor happy. The menu said the sauce had jalapeno in it but there is not even a hint of spiciness on this burger. However, it is a total huge mess to eat so I had to eat like a grandpa, cutting the burger with a knife. But I didn't care because I loved this burger! My spouse had the All American Burger and he put the server through his paces asking for every topping to be served on the side. Sounds like a mean thing to do but the server gladly satisfied his wishes. To be honest, my spouse enjoyed the burger immensely and added only the toppings he wanted, in the amounts he wanted and there is nothing wrong with that. Our server, Declan, was very friendly, fast and served us perfectly. So, another great meal at The Admiral with great food, great service and great times!!!! This is truly what a neighborhood place should be!!!

Yard House is in Chinatown, about a block from metro. It is huge. There is a large bar downstairs,…read morewith tables and booths. There are several large viewing screens. There is additional seating upstairs, which makes a great private event room. The elevator was out during our visit. We walked up the stairs. Our server was friendly and attentive. We visited when it wasn't busy (2:45pm- 5pm). The menu is varied. My friend enjoyed a burger. I asked if a different bread could be used on the grilled cheese. The chef was so nice. She came to our table and chatted with us. She offered suggestions on how she could make the sandwich. It was excellent. The tomato bisque was yummy! The fries were good. Our server was easy going and nice. We had a fun visit. No one rushed us. As soon as the restaurant started to get busy, we left.

Came to Yard House after a special Mass yesterday and BABY...downtown DC was outside. The…read morerestaurant was wall-to-wall packed, so ordering takeout was easily one of my best decisions of the evening. Cydney took my order, and although I had to repeat myself a few times over all the noise, she got everything PERFECT. I ordered the Lobster Garlic Noodles with salmon, and that was all I needed. With the crowd, I fully expected to be standing around until after 8 PM, but Cydney handed me my food around 7:45. I'm not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical like, "Wait...has my food been sitting somewhere?" Chile...NO. I got in the car, opened that container, took one bite and immediately started eating like I didn't have a home to go to. The noodles were HOT, the pasta was perfectly al dente, and the garlic flavor was GARLICKING! There was a good amount of lobster and shrimp, plenty of that garlicky sauce, and the salmon completed the whole situation. Meanwhile, the dine-in wait was running about 1-1 1/2 HOURS, so that takeout order felt like I had cracked the code. Thanks, Cydney, for taking care of me in the middle of all that chaos! I'll definitely be back whenever that Lobster Garlic Noodles craving hits again...because now I know exactly what I'm coming for.
