Walked in with my girlfriend after enjoying a great meal at their cafe. The store specializes in outdoor and indoor decor. As soon as you walk in you will be captured with all of the interesting things they have to offer. As you walk through the different areas you will most likely find what you are looking for plus much more you didn't know you needed or wanted. As you walk through they have plenty of seasonal decorations which provide great decorating options.

Terrain is awesome. Westport is beyond blessed to have this wonderful, inspirational store and cafe. Each time you go in you are sure to see something interesting, different and unique. And, if you dine in the cafe, you had just made yourself the most lovely adventure. So many vegan and vegetarian items. Look forward to the cafe service opening after this lock down nonsense we just experienced that was planned as early as 2018 when the bonds were floated. I tried to order a croissant the other day but nope, it's still all cordoned off even though the pastries are sitting there looking lovely and begging you to order them. A great spot nonetheless!

Healthy plants!

This is a great place with a healthy variety of plants, gifts, ceramics etc. it's a large retail space so you can spend a fair amount of time wandering around shopping for house plants, planters, pots, bath items, etc. It's such a magical place for plant lovers. With great eye-candy, especially during the holidays. We had a couple of people ask if we needed help- some more friendly than others. But when I asked a specific question, the woman who I asked spent so much time explaining and walking us around to various plant options. She was very thorough. Upon checkout, they took quite a bit of care to wrap and box our plants and pots. It was such a happy experience. For all you plant lovers, the plants are well cared for. It's a perfect place to get a house warming gift as well.

Loooooooved this store!!! Oooof what a dream. I honestly didnt want to leave. The plants are great and so are all the fun trinkets. Lots of great smelling candles and lotions too. But be prepared for the steep prices! And definitely grab a coffee at the cafe too.

Tara P put it best - Anthropologie meets HGTV. Terrain is a beautifully curated space and it felt fitting to stop in on the first spring day that actually FEELS like spring. I don't have a green thumb by any stretch of the imagination (I can't even take care of air plants or succulents) so I mostly ambled around but did end up taking home a couple faux plants that didn't break the bank. The selection is stunning but definitely comes at a high price point - not surprising given the location. Beyond the flora and accompanying garden accoutrements, I loved browsing the items that had absolutely nothing to do with plants. Handmade pottery (I've got a ceramics obsession), jewelry, soaps, gifts - you name it, it's got a spot in the store. Overwhelming in a good way.

Absolutely love this place! The staff is always so friendly and welcoming. You can't go wrong with their brunch menu. The terrariums class is so interesting (if you like plants of course) Had so much fun

Beautiful store. However, the employees are unconcerned with customers and a bit rude.

They gave some beautiful house plants and I like that almost each one is identified by name and care instructions provided. I ended up getting some plants for myself! The herbs are also indetified and properties given, which I find incredibly helpful. The herbs all looked healthy and I brought home a bunch to use in my cooking at home. I also bought a few clay pots to transplant them into. They also have potting soil, dirt, birdseed and bird houses, and annual and perennial flowers and outdoor plants. They also sell fresh eggs ( I was told they sell out quick). Prices are on the higher end, but I think much better quality and choice then at box stores. They also have a nice little gift area which was lovely. Parking lot and wagons for use to load up all you want to purchase.

This is my go-to place when I replant my herb garden every spring. Fabulous quality and selection,…read moreincluding many harder-to-find herbs like verbena, lemon thyme, tarragon and red-veined sorrel. They have multiple varieties of the more common herbs (basil, mint, sage ...). I also really like their unusual annuals, especially coleus, but you have to go early in the season before they all get bought up. Gilbertie's has lots of great pots and cool items in the gift shop, as well as seeds, fertilizers, and much more. I love how the friendly cats act like they own the place. It's a gorgeous property, and sometimes I go there just to walk around and enjoy the beauty and peace. The winter farmers' market is a wonderful place to visit for a change of scenery during the colder months.

They have a great selection of annuals, perennials, shrubs, trees, decorative pots and more. There are many unique plants that I've never seen elsewhere. Most recently, I was searching for succulents, and they had a vast array, with lots of beautiful arrangements to provide inspiration. While Oliver's is a geared toward high-end gardeners, I find their prices to be about the same -- sometimes better -- than those of other garden centers in Connecticut. The knowledgeable staff are friendly and helpful. Oliver's is also community-minded. In my neighborhood, we are working to transform a vacant, overgrown, ugly lot into a nature preserve and bird sanctuary. Oliver's has been a true partner in this endeavor, providing native tress and shrubs that are well-adapted to the particulars of the space and lots of good advice about care, placement, etc.

They made some good recommendations on trees and plants and we spent thousands of dollars on the materials and the labor. Problem: there were two snow fountain cherry trees they planted in the backyard that were right up against the house. While the workers were here we asked them THREE TIMES to NOT plant the trees too close to the house and to move them away. Despite our multiple requests they continued on with their work and assured us it would be no problem to move the trees in the spring if we were unhappy. When the trees started growing right into our house they told me to prune the side closest to the house which made the trees look lopsided. In the spring I asked them to come take a look and make good on their promise to move the trees- I assumed this would be at no charge. The guy who came out said it would cost another $800 to move the trees- this after they told us it wouldn't be a problem to move them! I don't think it's a good practice to not do a good job the first time and then try to charge customers to fix the problem later.
