The staff were able to help address my questions and even brought out a plant tailored to my specific color and budget requirements. I always find this place peaceful to stop by each time I visit the shopping mall, as the Terrain store has the idea for a space devoted to nature and curated for the home and garden. I love Terrain for their beautiful plants, planters, arrangements and garden decor. I'm a regular online customer and always visit when at Century City mall. This physical store is the only one I know of closest to SCV. It's connected to my favorite clothing store, Anthropologie. Although small, it's very well laid out. I spend too much time admiring all the lovely things, sometimes finding myself circling back to the same spot to discover something new. After leaving, my son's girlfriend surprised me with a fragrant soap bar and a little fizzle sizzle plant . It's so cute! I hope I can keep it alive. :) Very nice and helpful staff. read more

I bought two wreaths at Terrain about three weeks before Christmas. I brought them home and they were too large for my doors. I took them back two days later and was told by the manager that they were not returnable because they were "alive". I understand not taking back plants. They are "alive" and their health could be impacted by how I cared or failed to care for them while with me. A wreath isn't "alive". A wreath made with freshly cut material should be fine for quite some time let alone after two days....regardless if it was in my care (outside on a covered porch - - same conditions as the store). If they believed the wreath wasn't okay after two days perhaps it would be because it wasn't as fresh as it should have been when sold. I was happy to take a store credit and was also told no. I left the wreaths on the counter with the store manager and left - - no refund, no store credit. I have no doubt they put them back outside with the rest of their wreaths and resold them. As an alternative to Terrain, where customer service doesn't seem to be a high priority, I highly recommend "The Garden Shop" in Wayne for wreaths, trees, and garland. The people are friendly and accommodating. The merchandise is super fresh - - and it's less expensive. read more

I was told about this shop from a friend who visited a location on the East Caost. As a plant lover and one who enjoys beautiful home furnishings, I was excited to stop in. The store, in keeping with Anthropologie, has a nice vibe and beautiful things. However, maybe it was the location , but I didn't feel welcome at all. Three associates were standing by the counter chit chatting and looked up as I entered but not one greeted me or offered any assistance. When I went up to ask about a particular pot I was interested in, in a different size, the answer was a curt "no" with no alternative offered. After browsing a few more minutes, I just left and decided to keep my business with my local greenhouses and plant shops. Everything in Terrain was overpriced for what it is and the customer service needs great improvement, at least at that location. read more

Dreadful. I ordered items for Christmas in November for myself and my daughter. Most came, one has still not arrived. I received no reason from them why. I wrote asking for a refund and finally received a response today - Christmas eve - saying it would be back in stock on January 6 and they would send it to me them. It is on no use to me in January I want a refund and will never shop at this store again, it's customer service is non-existent as the reviews on Trust Pilot show. read more

Terrain is a store with a menagerie of all things pertaining to terrain...plantings, soil, rocks, pebbles, incorporating plants, trees, succulents, cacti, trees and more! Located on the second level , a few door from the Disney store in the Westfield Plaza in Century City. This store has a connecting door from Anthropologie apparel store. Honestly, I like Anthropologie for the home goods more than the clothing. Terrain is an extension of all those things, for the garden and green thumb we all have. This shop was closed the last few times I've pass by it. When I saw it open, Fendi and I were so excited to peek inside and wonder through all the beautiful plants, flowers, trees and all the nice things inside. It's easy to spend time here and if you're inclined, easily spend $$$$ on irresistible botany of stuff. I love the potted menagerie of open terrariums with miniature flowers. And love the assortment big cactus in the pottery, easy to care for. Perhaps you can assemble the same arrangement yourself if you have time and the creative designer's touch. For those who don't and want something perfect like these arrangements, this shop is wonderful. The one person inside was nice and let me take my time to look in awe at all the wild and wonderful flora that's around the shop, so fun! Recommend! read more

The plants are so cute here. Unfortunately after a few purchases, I had a bad experience. One of the plants I purchased wasn't doing well so I brought it in to get the staff's thoughts (can I be saved? What did I do wrong). I wasn't looking for a refund or exchange. One of the store associates, Sage, looked at it for one sec. She just said, "it's dead" and walked away. She didn't even look at me or have a face to face conversation. I had another encounter with her where I was also asking her about after care, and she walked away. It seems that she was only attentive when you're buying. If you come back and ask questions, she doesn't like it and will walk away. Very disappointing. The service at Home Depot's nursery is much better read more

A vase arrived cracked in half, dried lavender bouquets were totally bare and falling apart, the coconut husk doormat was shedding all of its husk, and the moss wall frame looked like it was put together by a five year old. They don't refund shipping at all, so I'm out of pocket $20. And Terrain has yet to refund me for the fourth item even though it's been almost a month. Horrible customer service when I call - people don't know what they're talking about, the return label took 45+ min to create when I called up because I was at UPS. And of course everything's super overpriced. I'll never buy anything from them again. read more

I usually enjoy browsing this pretty store full of plants and knickknacks. Unfortunately I had a disappointing experience that has left a bad taste in my mouth. I waited patiently to purchase a plant. When the customer in front of me completed their transaction, I went up to purchase my item. The asian saleslady then told me, "can you wait because I need to help this couple first." I was confused as this couple came in after me. Then I heard the saleslady ask the couple "how can I help you?" and they had some questions - but they were not waiting in line to buy anything! I was appalled at this extremely poor customer service as I was in line and ready to purchase a plant. This was so rude and as a result I left and did not purchase the plant, nor will I ever want to purchase from here ever again. This is no way to treat customers - gross. read more

Stumbled into this lush green oasis by happenstance while shopping around Century City. I've seen several tags and social media posts of people who have made their way here and thought "I want a pretty succulent too!" Immediately it was like falling in love with a puppy you just wanted to take at least one of them home. So far I've kept 2 actual Pomeranian puppies alive (crosses fingers) but when it comes to green things like plants?!?!?! fuh-ged-a-bout-it! I even had an air plant that is the least maintenance just leave it alone to absorb moisture from the air? Dead! Despite all that and having a flight to carry these quite huge pots of succulents onto the plain and pass through security, we broke down and got two. The girl employee was everything I imagined a tree nymph to be. Her counter was made of wood and it seemed as though she just hovered right over to us and checked if we had questions. I told her we need to bring it onto the plane and so she said she'd box it up all nice and give us bags. I thought she did great and even added more clear glass crystals to the gravel to make it extra 'bling bling' bc that is 'how I do'. Everything was fine until security where they tilted both bags on their side and the gravel spilled everywhere out of the pot while they checked and even lifted the plants to see what was underneath. I was worried they'd confiscate my plants before I had a chance to wither it. But back to the store it was a fun experience and artisan succulent teams put together each one unique so no two look alike. If I could, I'd fill my house with these and the whole environment (related or sister to Anthropologie) makes you feel like you're in Nirvana.....or like a Deku Tree read more

One Star for terrible customer service and terrible IT systems. Read about this place in an online blog for Mother's Day Gifts and placed an order for a wreath. I knew it was going to be close on the shipping but it was free and there was no option to upgrade the shipping - place the order. In reading the fine print, there should have been an option to upgrade shipping so I called them - the woman on the phone was quite unhelpful as she could not modify the order (who has computer systems like this today?), but only cancel and reorder the item but even though it was in their stated window to arrive by Mother's Day with expedited shipping I was told that they could not guarantee shipping so we left the order as is. Checked on the order the day after Mother's day and according to their system, my order ID does not exist. Jump on the phone again and the woman finds my order and states that it takes up to "48 business hours" to process an order. Now it gets frustrating.... Assuming 8 business hours in a day, that's 5 days??? She tells me, "no, we had to locate the item and that took us until Thursday then it takes up to 2 days to process the order" (order was placed on Tuesday). So, bottom line the clock does not start ticking until the "locate the item" in one of their stores. The item has not even finished processing for shipment so I cannot even review the quality of the item. read more
