Go through the first area (beach, surf, few shops & restos) to the next hill...this restaurant is at the top on the right and just past it is a small parking lot on the left
We weren't looking for this one, but a parking space is a parking space...I think where we were trying to find was on to the next hill
Anyway - good choice. A bit dubious start outside when a party, then 2 but to become 4+, sat directly next to us and started talking about smoking...oh no we thought...but the 2 guys and the waiter said not allowed to smoke there but would have to go completely outside the resto & up a bit...phew...and they did, very considerate all round thankfully (wouldn't happen in Paris!)
The food was excellent, if a little dear in comparison to the Monchique area...a couple of glasses of wine, water, a bream, a bass, good desserts and coffees...all for €48. Location and service both good too
Very enjoyable and some great views of the surfing
PS: we had first gone to Odeceixe (no, don't try to pronounce it) taking the cross country route from Monchique...that road had not been repaired since the fires earlier so it was a real trial but fun and great views through the hills...I have added photos from there too as its worth a detour...there was one really good looking resto in the centre but we had already decided to go to the beach to eat...
