Have tried a lot of Portugal's restaurants by now and this place has been one of the best!
The place has indoor and outdoor seating on a quiet street in the small town. Waiter came right out and greeted us with menus.
They have a variety of offerings including chickens, veal, pork, beef and of course, fish. Also several kinds of salads and a good wine list.
We opted for the blood sausage appetizer which was served with fried sweet potato chips. The sausage was very mild and contained a high amount of polenta. Very good though.
For main, had the grilled squid which came with boiled vegetables. It was really really good.
All was served with an excellent local wine.
Dessert list was about a page long. I had a coffee along with sweet potato almond cake. It was great. Also had the Algarve Treat which was carob pie with date topping. It was outta this world.
For final the waiter brought out two complimentary drinks. One was madrono. A strong whiskey like drink. The other was a sweet strawberry like liqueur.
One of the top 3 meals i had in Portugal. Highly recommend this place!! read more
