It is so much fun to have a hot stone placed in front of you and you get to sear your steak to perfection. I ordered a fillet and the cut of meat was just beautiful. For €22 the ability to cook table side and have a hot bite ready to melt in your mouth on demand is fun and yummy This delicious chunk of meat came with a baked potato and vegetables which I also tossed on the stone after I cooked my steak. The plate came with some dipping sauces and garlic butter. I asked for more garlic butter and cooked everything in it. It was so delicious and the wine list gives you many paring options, but being in Portugal even the house wine is amazing. This area albufera is not for the faint of heart. This is a crazy party zone so go early in the evening if you want some easy people watching and later in the evening if you want to see some really crazy antics. Service is fast and the waiters are attentive.

Great meat ruined by arrogant service…read more We dined at Sala de Corte last night with high expectations, but the shockingly poor service completely ruined the evening. The Good: The meat itself was fantastic quality and cooked perfectly. The Bad: Order mix-ups: The staff delivered the wrong steaks to each of us. Because the waiter didn't speak English, there was no explanation of the cuts, leaving us to figure out whose plate was whose. Arrogant sommelier: When we asked for a wine recommendation, the sommelier suggested a bottle for nearly €200. When we asked for something in the €70-€80 range, he condescended to us, asking if it was "our first time at a restaurant"--despite their menu having options as low as €30 . Disappointing management & service charge: I raised our frustration with the manager, who took over for the rest of the meal and brought the bill. He had automatically added a 10% tip, brushing it off as just a "suggestion." When I voiced my surprise at this level of service and the automatic tip addition, he looked down on us and simply ignored the feedback. Lisbon has far too many world-class dining options with top-tier hospitality to justify paying premium prices just to be looked down on by the staff. Save your money and go elsewhere.

The delicious sides are small, but this is common of meat focused restaurants. Do try the portabella mushroom appetizer. I drink wine almost exclusively, but they had some craft gin (Brockmans) with some proper tonic (Fever Tree, which I will try to find in the States) that I had to taste (ok, then I switched to wine). The service is friendly and the music is on point. I ended up stopping by once more for lunch, where they had €12 lunch plates (incredible ribs). Even for dinner, I think this place is reasonably priced. And I am comparing to Lisbon, not to pricey Los Angeles. This is the best steak house in the area. I no longer have to drive to Lisbon for proper meat while in Portugal!
