However, a couple of caveats. The large carts are extremely heavy to pull so if you have a wagon I'd highly recommend taking it. And, second, each individual pot is not well marked. I photographed each plant marker and then each pot(s) as I loaded them into my cart. Now I have all the planting details for reference.

She happily gave us a quick course on Nut Tree growing and gave us samples from the freshly picked nuts. We sampled walnuts, black walnuts, heart nuts and chestnuts. Heart nuts need to be opened with a hammer. They have a light flavor and are heart shaped. The chestnuts can be made in the microwave. Just make a cut in each one to let out the steam and microwave with a little water for one minute I am looking forward to trying this. Their main business is selling Nut trees. They ship the trees to the states, but not the nuts. They only take cash and have a five pound limit on many of the nuts. This was a fascinating and fun adventure to add to my list when we visit Niagara-On-The-Lake. I recommend you stop for a real treat and meet these nice folks!

I know that in this day and age the bulk of what they're selling, is happening online or even through the catalog, but there's nothing like touching an analog sample to help you decide what tool is right for you. I've visited here every other year or so from the United States for the last 20 years, and it's always been fun to drop by. If you're in the neighborhood and our woodworker or a gardener, you'll find a half hour will slip by fast.
