After some research, we found that Harpers had the plants for a great price and it was a quick short drive away - perfect excuse for a road trip to Hamilton. We pre-ordered everything online ahead of time. They were doing front-door pick up so it was really convenient. I'm happy to see that the staff were practicing social distancing and took the necessary measures for everyone's safety. We took a quick walk through the nursery just to see what other selections they had and I have to say, that this is a great one stop shop for any gardening needs. Soil, tools, plant food, pots... anything you can think of they have it. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. It felt nice to be in a community space and not a big superstore like Lowes or Home Depot where you have to go chase down someone to get help. These are the kinds of businesses we should be supporting always, not just through a pandemic. I can't wait to order some more greens from Harpers. I always enjoy a good road trip!

Gardening keeps my muscles from atrophying on me. I wanted some more Mason Bee Nests for my garden and found a garden center near Hamilton in Dundas, Ontario. I ordered some pollen bee nests on June 6th/2023 and today on June 9th my order arrived from them. I have never done business with them before but I am going to look to see what other things they carry that I can order as a small family run operation their speed of delivery was unheard of and I like supporting Canadian business when possible. Every gardener should have a couple of Mason Bee Nests available to help these bees nest. They are harmless to humans and I am allergic to stinging insects. A first rate business and a pleasure to do business with a company that goes above and beyond in customer service.

There's a nice selection of outdoor flowers and plants, trees, indoor plants, furniture, and gardening tools. The plants here look amazing and healthier than ones you would find at a typical Canadian Tire or Home Depot. However, do expect to pay a lot more for better-looking plants (i.e a $20 hydrangea at Canadian Tire would be $40 here). The staff here are friendly and are very knowledgeable so don't hesitate on asking about the plants. My first visit was during their Customer Appreciation Event meaning that all in-stock items were 25% off (not sure how often they have this event). Nonetheless, if you're willing to spend some extra money for a fantastic looking garden or for a hard to find plant, this is the place!

Unfortunately, the experience with the store manager was completely different. The attitude and lack of respect shown by the manager toward a customer were very disappointing and unacceptable. Instead of trying to help resolve the situation professionally, the manager's attitude made me feel that my concerns and my business were simply not valued. It is unfortunate because the rest of the staff were friendly and helpful, and I had a completely different impression of them. After this experience, I will not be returning to Sheridan Nurseries. There are many other places where customers can spend their money and receive the level of respect and customer service they deserve. I cannot recommend this location based on my experience with the store manager.
