Terminus Wake Park, North America's largest cable wake park and located in Cartersville!
    Liz S.

What an awesome idea and an even better idea launching it in the new Lake Point sports arena location. This place initially got my attention as I was driving by. When I saw what looked like cable lines and a few crane like structures I had to pull over to see what was going on. I couldn't believe my eyes! Terminus is a cable pull wake board park that is open daily (weather permitting), with equipment for rent and all the cool jumps and people that cheer you on even if you fall down? Where do I sign up!? The prices are cheaper than I expected. 2 hours is only $35! They rent out wet suits, wake boards, helmets, life vests and even offer lessons. My favorite part is the launch off area. I've never held on to the handle so hard in my life! You're given a count down and are gently lifted off the platform as you skim on to the water like a bad ass. The cable pulls you around the circle of water and there are jumps you can attempt or just go along for the ride, like me. I had a ridiculous smile the entire time I was out there, even the many (many!) times I either fell face first or lost my grip. What an awesome idea and a great workout! If you think you've seen and tried everything, Terminus is waiting for you! But be careful, it's addictive!

Ask the Community - Terminus Wake Park

How pricey is it because I'm in seventh grade and I'm doing a 5th grade reunion and I need to know how much it will cost for about 23-27 kids?

I would do the aqua park! It’s best for bigger groups.. It’s a 45 minute session ($15 weekdays/ $20 weekends per person!). You can get 10% off with 10+ppl. Also second session is $5 off if you go twice!

What is the best one to get? I'm taking my boyfriend for the first time for his birthday also I'm not a strong swimmer is that a problem? He is though

Grab the 2.0 Leason pass, come with rentals and quality coaching to start with, super easy and full of fun!

If you get the Wet Pass do you have to take lessons? I would like to know if I get the Wet Pass would I be able to free ride or not?

The Get Wet Pass is a 20minute one on one lesson in our training the lake. It includes all of the rental gear needed. You can use your 20 minutes however you want. You need a different pass to get on the full-size lakes (2hour, 4hour, or all day… Read more

I was just disappointed with the amount of slides that were closed and how many staffs were standing around just hanging out with their coworkers. I think the lines would've been faster if they opened up more slides and had more staff working rather than standing around. The wait of the lines were 40mins ish long bc of the lack of staff working and slides open. It wasn't even busy for a Friday so I don't understand why they allowed that. Overall I enjoyed my time even tho we only got to be on 3 slides from 11am-5pm. In between slides we were at wave pool or snacking bc the wait was ridiculous.

We spent over $1,000 between admission, food, and a cabana, and it was absolutely not worth the money. The food situation was terrible. We were served chicken tenders that were still raw, which is completely unacceptable. The food lines were extremely long, and many of the young employees seemed more interested in playing around than helping customers. There appeared to be little supervision. We paid over $400 for a cabana, only to find it dirty, moldy, overcrowded, and poorly maintained. To make matters worse, many of the rides were closed throughout the day, making the park feel old and not worth the premium price. One of the biggest disappointments was finding out that the funnel cake stand was closed. There was no notice on the website, and after asking about it, we were told it had been shut down because someone had allegedly put bleach in the cooking oil. Whether true or not, hearing something like that only added to our concerns about food safety. Guests were smoking Black & Mild cigars near family areas, and the entire park felt overcrowded and poorly managed. Everything was overpriced, and the overall experience was frustrating from start to finish. For the amount of money we spent, we expected much better. Between the raw food, dirty cabana, closed rides, poor service, and lack of communication, we will not be returning. Six Flags White Water needs to seriously improve its cleanliness, food safety, staffing, and overall guest experience.

You won't be able to use the kiosk to check in and depending on how busy it is, you might end up being in line for 30+ minutes to check in at the front desk. The Tesla ones work half the time and you need to change the charge to 20amp from your car setting or it would stop charging after 5 minutes. I've also been told they plan to remove all the chargers in the near future so call ahead and ask. Sign up for their newsletter. They often have deals throughout the year and special sale on 8/4 every year. It's a fun place but everything inside is overpriced so expect to spend an extra $100 per night there if you plan on dining there as well. I've seen people pack their own lunch and drinks in a cooler and none of the staff members seem to care. There's also a mini fridge in the room and a microwave and ice machine on every floor. Bring a sweater or warm jacket. Walking out of the water park to air conditioned indoor area can be cold. In my opinion, staying on the first floor has been the more convenient. Especially the morning of checkout. You don't have to wait for the elevator and usually the elevator fills up quickly around checkout time. If you are purchasing miniature golf or bowling, buy the family deal if you have four or more people. The arcade Is a money pit, don't stay here too long or try your best to avoid it. The parking lot is huge, but you may have to drive around if you're hoping to get a spot near the entrance. The lockers are priced according to size, and you pay one fee for the entire day. We scheduled with TANYA CAREW out of the Cumming Aquatic Center. Our child had 9 lessons before Tanya stopped showing up. On what was supposed to be day 10, she sent 6 kids home because the capillary refill at the heel was too slow meaning they were too cold and couldn't stay in the pool. The next day she text after our child's lesson was supposed to have started and said she was cancelling lessons because "they are having lessons today". Odd, as I know there are supposed to be lessons... my kid has one scheduled. She is double booking her time. I asked about make up lessons. No response. The very next day she no call no showed. Parents & their kids were showing up all morning and being told no one had seen the instructor. The next day of lessons, a text came in mid-morning saying she wasn't feeling well. At this point we are just getting scammed. ISR has been contacted and we requested a refund but each instructor is an independent contractor so their hands are tied. They can't do anything. TANYA CAREW finally answered us 5 days later saying ISR has a strict no refund policy and she wouldn't be refunding us. She again gave no options for rescheduling, making up lessons missed or refunding us for the time our child wasn't in the pool. She referred us to a different instructor and stated she wouldn't be paying her either so we would have to fork out another $1,000 to get our child started with them. I have heard positive feedback from other co workers and parents who put their children through ISR in Buckhead but I would steer very clear of Tanya and Cumming.

While we always look forward to spending time at the park, I was disappointed by its overall condition. Many of the water slides had visible mildew on them, and I also noticed mildew on the metal roof of one of the snack shacks. More concerning, I witnessed a young teenager nearly step on a nail protruding from the concrete while waiting in line for the four slides that share the same platform. This poses a serious safety hazard and should be addressed immediately. We also tried to relax in the sand area beneath the awning above the beach, but it was clear the area had not been raked or cleaned this season. The sand was covered with sticks, leaves, acorns, and other debris, making it feel neglected. I hope this review reaches the appropriate person who can address these issues. The water park is a wonderful facility with so much potential, and I would hate to see it fall into disrepair.
