My family and friends just got back from an amazing vacation. We had 5 boys with us ranging from 6 years old to 12 years old. Water park was amazing-all slides were open for us when we went. Some rides are single and a lot were double tube, which makes it a blast! The sand was pristine, soft and clean! My 6 year old was able to go on all rides except we didn't try the Intimidator & Triple Threat (thrill level 5) BUT the older boys loved it! The life guards were lively and fun-had red white and blue hats and girls had sparkles and festive. Each ride my little one went on, they all would cheer and give high 5's! We stayed on the beach part and rented a Palapa. The Palapa gave shade for the entire family (10). All food and snack places open!!! Pizza, ice cream, dip n dots, tiki bars-yes plural, restaurants. Also, restrooms directly behind the Palapas!!!! Mushroom watering were replaced with cool surfboard cool and rinse stations- If that wasnt enough you can hop right behind the rinse stations to Parakeet Springs, which we did a walk through to MANY time to mini water falls-buckets of water (like the mushrooms), sprinklers and plenty of places to cool of. Lastly they also give teacher, first responder/nurse and military discounts if you mention it when purchasing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME!!!!! 10/10! We went several times this summer! This place is extremely safe for kids to go from slide to slide and I have always left my belongings on my chair and they've never been touched. It's a chill water park in comparison to White Water. The crowd is catered to more families versus wild teenagers running around. I highly recommend Finn's up for a nice day with your kids. Only complaint is their pizza could be better lol read more

Ok, I get that this is going to be a tourist, price gouging place, but damn, $200 for two adult tickets and one kid ticket is insane. The park could have at least been clean. Beer cans were everywhere and I myself had a beer or two but I'm not a turd and throw my trash away. However, the place was disgusting. The bathrooms were filthy and when I say filthy I mean shit was literally piling up in the toilets I nearly puked walking in. The food was garbage so plan to spend your hard earned money on garbage. Mid size waterpark with something for all ages. Kiddie water area for toddlers, wave pool for all ages, water slides based on height, and restaurants for all. Went on a Friday so not all amenities were open. Best to buy tickets and parking online. Pricing typical of everything else these days with cost increase. read more

I am a season pass holder at the water park, and I recently brought my son for our first visit of the season. While we always look forward to spending time at the park, I was disappointed by its overall condition. Many of the water slides had visible mildew on them, and I also noticed mildew on the metal roof of one of the snack shacks. More concerning, I witnessed a young teenager nearly step on a nail protruding from the concrete while waiting in line for the four slides that share the same platform. This poses a serious safety hazard and should be addressed immediately. We also tried to relax in the sand area beneath the awning above the beach, but it was clear the area had not been raked or cleaned this season. The sand was covered with sticks, leaves, acorns, and other debris, making it feel neglected. I hope this review reaches the appropriate person who can address these issues. The water park is a wonderful facility with so much potential, and I would hate to see it fall into disrepair. read more

Excellent water park in Lanier Islands. The wave pool is great, and the slides are fun as well. They have tubes that fit up to 2 riders but if you are over 100 pounds you can ride alone. The inflatable island and obstacle course looks great as well. We got the season pass and plan to return to try all that Margaritaville at Lanier Islands has to offer. Lastly, the snack shops are excellent and have great customer service and ice creams available. The souvenir shop seems like it's well stocked as well. I have nothing to fault Margaritaville for and consider this a 4.1 star rounded up because it's summer. Thank you to the staff and Lanier Islands for having such an awesome water park so close to home. 5 stars! read more

This place does not deserve any stars. The way they treat people and crazy rules they have. I had no problem bringing in my water tumbler filled with my water and now they have a problem. I have a kid to watch and I don't drink alcohol. I have spoke to them about the water fountain and how they have mold. I don't trust there water fountains. After telling them that they were indifferent and rudely told me to either drink it up here or pour it out. I said this is unacceptable. This place is unfriendly and not a clean place. Another unfortunate experience I had is that I could not get ice from the booths or the restaurants in the park for my tumbler on a hot day. They refused to and said they need it for their alcoholic cocktails. Their good is overpriced and disgusting. Their pizza is not real pizza. I feel this place I money hungry focused and not focused on the family friendly fun. This place I would avoid going for any summer fun. read more

Tiffany and Caren were so great at coordinating my reservation so my family could join us. We came in RV and they stayed in a cabin. Amazing views and service was spectacular. Food was well priced and delicious. The Game Changer is a great to do and bar restaurant inside another big hit. Drink Cart delivers food and made to order drinks. Came out for a dinner with colleagues during a conference. We had a great time. Our server was attentive, and funny. The food was the bomb. I will be craving these Jamaican jerk wings. They were spicy but oh so good! The views were amazing too. Enjoyed the view of the lake during the sunset. read more

PROS: *The new Apocolypto slide is fun. *Despite what is listed below, my son has fun for his birthday so I guess that is what matters most. But I'm still pretty ticked off though. CONS: *"Celebrated" my son's birthday here this past weekend. Between campground, Cabana, day passes, food, etc., we spent well over $1000 for the weekend. THEY STILL WOULD NOT LET ME BRING IN A FEW CUPCAKES FOR THE KID'S BIRTHDAY. Spoke to management. Made no difference. They don't even sell anything similar in the park. That is absolutely shameful! This place has gone completely corporate with no common sense. With the short-staffing mentioned below, we could have EASILY snuck them in, but as usual, no good deed goes unpunished. *They are understaffed just so they can save a few bucks. I can also certainly attest to the other comments stating that even though we spent $300 for a cabana, not once did a single member of the staff come to provide any type of service, nor did anyone even check that we had paid. Next time I'll just save myself the $300 and just walk in. Seriously, no one will bother you. *The yellow jacket situation is real. Staff said they have no solution for it. They are all over the place. *I've come here frequently over the past few years since we like the campground, but even that has gotten more expensive than what it's worth. It was hard to find chairs to use, and several were falling apart. One of the worst things was that they ran out of anchors for the beach umbrellas, the young girl working had to go around digging holes for people. I had to hold the umbrella for about 20 minutes so my family could have shade while we waited. Dumb that they would have so many umbrellas and not the proper equipment to set them up. read more

I was there a couple of weeks ago. Me and my 5 years old granddaughter. We went down the water slide, my granddaughter went first, she almost drowned and the lifeguard did not want to jump in the water, when I finally got down where she was crying, really bad i ask her what happened. She says she almost drowned and the lifeguard never jumped in to help her, and he never said sorry. I went and talked to management, and they did nothing. While we purchased rather expensive tickets online, we still had to pay $20 to park. In addition, bottled water was costly at $5, which was necessary due to combating dehydration as it was exceedingly hot and humid the day we attended. However, my biggest issue was with the water slides. Rafts were limited. There was an area full of deflated and damaged rafts, but no sign was available to tell customers that they could not be used. Also, you were to wait in line for a raft after someone had finished the slides. Again, no sign told us that this was the protocol and, while some adults did not release their raft and continued to use them, people broke in line, delaying others from their turn. In a two-hour period, my grandchildren stood in line and rode the slides only four times. We were told that they have to turn off the water multiple times because of pressure building up in the jets. Funny, Six Flags and American Adventures never turn off their water. If this is dangerous, why has it not been addressed. Some of the lifeguards at the slides were diligent, but many times they were immersed in unneeded conversation via their radios instead of watching the riders. I know this because I stood at the end of the slides for two-hours as there is no viewing/seating area for the adults, who are watching their children or grandchildren. One positive, Frank and Lola's Pizzeria had a variety of food that appealed to all four of us and the prices were reasonable. We had the tacos, quesadillas, and two salads that were very good! read more

Not family friendly, allergy friendly or baby friendly! After reading many reviews I was wary and decided to call the company and see if it was just a few guests bad experience or truly a terrible place. I was planning to visit for a day trip in July but after speaking with multiple staff members we will be going elsewhere. You cannot bring in your own umbrellas, this includes attaching them to your stroller or wagon for shade for your children. You also can't bring in baby shade tents for the beach or really any other shade mechanism. If you do want an umbrella for their beach area you have to buy one to rent. You also have to pay for parking, all food, tickets, and really anything you can think of, it comes with a price tag. This will not be a cheap trip, even for a day. Think of it like a less classy Disney park in terms of charging. The umbrella though was by far not the worst part. You cannot bring in any outside food. If you are planning on bringing a baby that includes no purées and breast milk. (This was per the person I spoke to) That is illegal by the way and I told them as such. The reason I asked about outside food is because I saw in many posts families would bring in snacks for their young children which would be taken at the gate when their bags were searched. Now everyone in my family including my baby has very severe food allergies. When we go out together we've never had a problem bringing food into a zoo, aquarium, water park etc. Despite our allergies we are people too and deserve to sit and eat our lunch where everyone else does. So, I did ask about the exception to bring in outside food. All food had to fit in a 6.5 x 8 x 6.5 soft sided cooler. Originally like the sane person I am, I thought each person could have a cooler or at least a couple of us could share since there'd be 9 adults and 1 baby. No all food for a baby, 9 of us with severe food allergies, and 2 of those being diabetics had to squeeze our food in one cooler (per a manager). There can only be one cooler per family with allergies. Laughable I know right? I was then told we could keep the rest of the food in our car, go eat lunch in our car and be let back into the park afterwards. That's when the conversation ended. They are very blinded by their strict polices to the point where it toes the line with ADA compliance. I do not recommend this park and suggest you find somewhere else to go because if you breathe you best bet they're going to charge you for it. On a side note it sounds like their crazy policies are something new in the last couple years. If they have changed it once they can change it again. Do better! read more

THIS PLACE GETS WORSE EVERY YEAR. They won't let you bring in umbrellas or tents anymore. Can you imagine bringing your young children to this beach with no protection. My guess is they no longer welcome families. The price to rent their umbrella for the day, which does not stay up, is $20, $200 for the thatched umbrellas that they used to fight over, and $299 for an enclosed cabana for the day. This is in addition to the entry fee. Last year they put up a fence in the edge of the water, now much heavier than last year so you can't use the beach. They have lost their minds and will lose revenue when people realize how crazy their new rules are. What's a beach without being able to get in the lake??? read more

Too expensive, quality of product & service does NOT support it! I use to frequent Lake Lanier Islands. Stopped going 10 yrs ago when they started all the restrictions and price gauging. Not fun anymore and way overpriced. Not sure who took over management - but they ruined it. they need to hire more experienced hospitality management that FOCUS on quality & service. It's $20 just to enter the gate, they say it's cost for parking but if you play golf you dont have to pay? you still have to park. Margaritaville water park is ridiculous, adult day ticket is $69 - whether you use the slides or not, it's a rip off. What are you getting for $69 if you don't go on the slides? You get Nothing - because everything is a COST. You have to pay to rent chairs or umbrellas. A small bag of chips is over $6, standard cocktail starts at $16. The tiki bars are awful, bartenders have an attitude - but they still expect a tip. tipping is optional and it's based on great service! They say $16 cocktail is a double - but it's really a single served in a larger cup. I use to bartender, so I know the difference. The park and all restaurants are suppose to be open until 7pm, both pizza and Mexican places were both closing up at 6pm. Margaritaville is understaffed across the board most of the time - you spend over $100 before really eating or drinking anything. The quality is NOT worth the price. read more
