When I finally got somebody on the phone--after being put on hold for forty-five minutes listening to that elevator music--the customer service representative had the nerve to catch an attitude with me. Excuse me? I'm the one with the ants and the empty pockets! Manager cannot even call and address issues that I have been having with the technician Patrick Walsh not showing up for appointments and when he does only doing the job half ass. What can I say I gave them three tries.. and as they say in baseball, you're out. I had a major wasp problem. First guy I talked to was on a Thursday and helpful but said earliest appt was following tue night 6-8. Got a confirmation text Monday. All good right? Nope. He didn't show and after calling, finally got ahold of customer service they said they couldn't get a hold of agent. So they rescheduled for Earliest wed 4-6. Grrr. Mad at this point but trying. Mean time wasps have chewed into house. Got them out and blocked off entrance. I call wed to confirm at about 2. Service person says they rep changed time from wed to Thur???? Wtf. . But they said they would call and fix it. They hung up on me. And didn't call me back. Done. Recommend you use someone more reliable. read more

If you have any pests in your home and you call terminix, the pests will most likely have died of natural causes before you can reach someone to help you.. I came here to leave a 1 star review only to find that's all this company ever gets. I called terminix on 8/20/24 for pricing on flea treatment and was given 2 prices. One for a single treatment, and another for continuous treatments monthly. After comparing prices to similar companies, I called back on 8/27/24 to schedule service. The customer service rep scheduled a free inspection, but made it for termites, not fleas. I called back and they told me their system does not allow it to be changed from termites to fleas, and I was also given a different price point. Also, no one mentioned a Labor Day sale that was advertised on the website. I was told a supervisor was emailed and would call me back. No one called me back. The next day, I called and spoke with Stephanie and she told me she could not fix my issue, but a supervisor by the name Alex would call me back within 30 minutes because she was in a meeting. And, you guessed it, Alex never called me back. I called again and spoke with a Bernadette, the most confrontational and unhelpful rep I've ever spoken to, who yelled at me, told me I could NOT speak to a supervisor and put me on hold before disconnecting the call. Terminix was called out to my residence two weeks ago to spray in and around my home for bugs in preparation for winter. After receiving their "report", it was determined that they had not sprayed my home, but the home two houses down from me. I called to inform them of the error, and received no call back. I had to call a second time to get a response, to which I was told they would arrive this morning at 10am to spray for MY residence. Here it is almost 1pm, I have had no calls or text messages from them to confirm their arrival. To say I'm madder than hell is an understatement, as I have had to take off an entire day of work to be home today. If any of the other reviews are an indicator, they probably won't come at all. I'll edit this later with my experience, should they ever decide to show up. Update: As expected, Terminix never showed up. When I finally received a call back over an hour later, the woman on the other end indicated there was no work order for me today, nor at all for my address. Umm.. did I completely hallucinate a conversation with a rep? WHY WAS I TOLD SOMEONE WOULD BE OUT AT 10AM MONDAY MORNING?? There are no words for the frustration & aggravation this company has made me feel today. I highly advise anyone reading this to consider patronizing ANY other pest control business but this one! My uncle was on his death bed and the employees decided to take advantage of him and scam an elderly man into a contract. My uncle passed away and the company came to the house one time for mice. The company never followed through the problem is still there . The company feels they should be entitled to 2000 for 45 minutes . When you ask the manager to call you guess what they don't. Run from this company is the best thing I can say. I will share how they prey on eldery and the sick it's wrong . I wouldn't give them a star period they don't deserve it . I heard sounds outside on a Thursday night. I discovered a possum out there. It ran up inside a tube that covered the electrical wires that run into the attic for the air conditioner unit. I called Friday morning and set up an appointment for Terminix to come out Monday afternoon for a Free Inspection. I wasn't sure if the possum got into the attic or not. Monday afternoon, I waited almost 3 hours and no one showed or called. I called them and they said, they didn't have anyone covering my zip code so after holding for quite a while, they said they could get someone out Tuesday afternoon. So then on Tuesday afternoon a guy called to say he had a message that I had a "problem" which then I explained to him. I had already given all this information twice to the people I spoke to on the phone. So then this guy on Tuesday, said well it is too hot today to come out so he could come on Wednesday morning instead. He showed up about an hour late and walked around the outside of the house. I showed him the place where I saw the possum and the tube where the critter went. We went inside and I showed him the opening to the attic thinking he would check it out at least shining a light around to see if the possum was in the attic and he said no, he didn't plan to go into the attic. He was just assuming that the possum was up there. He then proceeded to tell me that he would write up the contract and it costs $2,000 and more if they find an animal that they have to extract. I had a trip scheduled to leave Thursday morning to visit my son in Europe and didn't want to schedule anyone to be in my house that week I was gone. He then tried a scare tatic that if I didn't do something about it NOW, then I could come home and find that the possum was inside my house coming down from the attic and destroying things inside my house. I felt as if they would have sent the inspector out on Monday as originally scheduled perhaps they could have remediated the situation before I left on my trip and secondly, I thought the guy who came for the free inspection would have at least checked the attic. He basically was just the salesperson trying to get me to sign a contract which I didn't. Also, he said there means of blocking off the entry way to the attic or at least into the tube where the possum enter was to use steel wool. I thought 2,000 dollars was a lot to pay for steel wool. I have not heard or seen any evidence of this rodent problem since, but think I will get another opinion now that I am back home. I hate to be scammed. read more

We have a contract with Terminix to come take care of a pest control at first they were good there after twice no show, no phone call, no reason, nothing! Of course we sit time to be gone and did everything they ask and were told if we see anything to call that is a JOKE no one answers a call and I can't even get a manager to talk too. We had to pay them up front too which we did. They need to confirm appointments and let you know 100% they are coming. I was scheduled for an inspection/estimate on a Saturday to check out yellow jackets at my house. The technician was supposed to arrive between 10:00 a.m. and noon. At noon, when I hadn't heard anything, I called and was told he was held up at another job. At 2:00, I called again and the technician couldn't be reached to let me know when to expect him. I heard nothing for another hour and a half. At 3:30, I gave up and canceled the appointment. I will not be using Terminix and will call a different company. We have a contract with Terminix and to this point service has been okay. Today we had scheduled an appointment but no one showed up or called. When I called to find out what was going on I was disconnected twice. The first person I spoke to was highly apologetic but like I've commented, I was disconnected. The second person I spoke to was very nonchalant about the error and simply stated we were rescheduled for another time. We didn't receive a call, text or email notification and we waited around for 3 hours. The contact did set up a new appointment. Hope they show up. If I would have read the yelp reviews I don't think I would have dealt with Terminix to begin with, for a large fee all they've done is set some poison traps that anyone could purchase at Home Depot. My elderly mother paid them $1442.00 to spray for bed bugs, it was supposed to be a 6 month service with heat treatment. Later discovered that their 'heat treatment' was just a heat wand and it was broken. They came and did the first spray. She was told that if they see any more she was to call and he would be back. She was also told that he would be back after getting the 'heat' wand fixed. She has called 3-4 times now to get him to come back out and every time she gets his voicemail. No one has come back with the wand or to spray. Too bad she didn't read these reviews before hiring them. I don't know if they are out of Indy and don't like making the trip or what, but it was supposed to be a 6 month treatment, not a 1 time! DO NOT USE THEM! read more

Terminex was a no show for 2 appointments scheduled at a location 2 hours from home. Family members drove there, took time away from new baby/family and spent hours waiting on them. They never showed nor were able to connect by phone with anyone who could help/a manager. Many phone calls made with vertually NO HELP or any resolution! Don't ever use Terminix. Travis from Terminix gave me a quote for services and talked me into writing a check stating he wouldn't cash it until I told him to. Unfortunately for me, he cashed it right away and he, the manager and regional manager won't return my calls. So unprofessional! I wish I had never called. Update tried to reach Heath a regional manager who won't return my call! 9/16/18 update. I finally got reimbursed my initial money and I was told I would get reimbursed my overdraft fees. Last fall, we found evidence of mice in our basement. Despite the fact that their quote was high, we decided to use Terminix because we had been satisfied with their regular pest control service. Huge mistake. While they were very prompt in coming out to quote the job and to get started, we had a very difficult time getting them to finish the job. Many calls went unreturned and on several occasions they failed to show up for appointments. We had told them we would be gone for the winter and they assured us the job would be completed before we left. It wasn't and we were forced to make arrangements for appointments after we left. When we returned in May we saw what we believe may be evidence of mice in the basement. We have now placed several calls trying to set up an appointment to have someone from Terminix come out and inspect. So far, and despite numerous promises of return calls to set up appointments, we have not received a call back! It's hard to believe they are able to stay in business when they treat a customer so poorly. read more

Given that Terminix is a nationally recognized company, I assumed they would be reliable. Very wrong. I should have read these reviews. Scheduled a service where technician was to come out on a Saturday between 10-noon to do extermination service and Multiple Point Home inspection. They charged $210 upfront, with three $160 charges for remainder of year (every 3 months). Technician did not show up between 10-noon as scheduled. I called and spoke with a service representative who said they would reschedule me for that afternoon between 3-5:00. Again, no one showed up. I called and spoke with service representative again and they tried calling the technician but got no answer. Said they would try to re-schedule me (a third time!) for the following week. Do we keep rescheduling just to have a no show again? No. I'm going with someone else. read more

I wish I read the reviews before I called Terminix and signed up a $3.000 contract for a package to get rid of mice inside my house dry wall. They closed some holes around the house and put bates and traps in the attic and suppose to come in spring to close more holes and check the roof but every time I call they give me excuses. I kept seeing evidence of mice and call them several times, leaves messages and texts but no one bother to answer back. I called the supervisor and promised to call me back or send someone but nothing happened. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND ENERGY ON THEM. I rarely take time to write reviews, because I don't really HAVE time, but my decision not to go with Terminix saved me a minimum of $199, so I'm making time to hopefully help you too. I found evidence of insect burrow holes in our firewood pile, and called Terminix to get a quote. I saw the bad reviews on Yelp for Terminix, so I called Bob The Bug Guy (who had perfect Yelp reviews) for a 2nd opinion - and I'm SO glad that I did! Amy (the delightful person that returned my call), had me text Bob (the aforementioned "Bug Guy") pictures of the wood, so that he could try to determine which insect we were dealing with - and give me a quote. It was 4pm, so Amy let me know that he might not get back to me until the next day. Well 30 minutes later Amy called me back to say that Bob looked at the photos and determined that the signs I saw were not caused by termites or carpenter ants - but by one of a couple of different kinds of wood beetles (which I suspected from some frantic Googling I did the night before). She let me know that that was great news, since these beetles' natural habitat is outdoor wood, and that they would not be a threat to our house or garage - as long as we didn't take the wood into our house for some reason. That was IT! Earlier in the day I had called Terminix for them to give me a quote. They asked me if I knew what insect we were dealing with, and I said that based on what I saw online I thought it was one of a couple of different "wood beetles", and instead of telling me that they weren't a threat to my house, he said that he "looked it up in their system", and that their treatment "covers that type of insect too". They wanted to charge me $199 to come out, assess and TREAT my whole house, wood pile, and yard for an insect that isn't even a danger to my house or garage! So if you're looking for a fast response, honest communication, and a LOCAL professional who will take great care of you (and not take advantage OF you) - do yourself a favor and call Bob The Bug Guy - or at least not Terminix! read more

High Pressure/ High Prices/ Few Details. I own a rental property and needed raccoons and bats removed from the attic. I couldn't be on property, but a tenant let the Terminix estimator in. He called me and wanted payment info when I hadn't seen a written word/ estimate/ service proposal. At 5 AM, he texted me to see if I'd gotten the $13,000 Service Plan - high because we originally thought my insurance would cover it, but it does not. Contractors love insurance work because they can mark-up/ gouge. About a week later, two technicians arrived. I had no idea what exactly they were to do, but the guy who was to trap the raccoons refused because of visible knob and tube wiring in the attic. This condition should have been noted in the estimate. I am still waiting on a electrician to certify the disabled wiring - which will cost me several hundred $$ more. In order to spend $13,000 cash, as the property owner I want to know: A). Who will be on my property? B). What is their exact purpose (treatment) that day? C). Specifically what methods/ chemicals/ equipment will be used and how much will that portion of this multi-phase treatment cost? No such details have been provided. I'll hire someone else. Dealing with this company was a nightmare. Do yourself a favor and find a local guy to do your pest control. I was given lip service by customer service then months later was hounded by phone calls daily and letters to pay the bill. The last guy in customer service said that there wasnt anything noted in the account as to what I was saying. Lies...lies...lies. This is bad business and they know it. In the end I paid them $99 for a service that they couldn't prove they did. (They didn't do the service) just to stop any further hassle. A woman came to my house on Tuesday. She said that the previous owner used Terminix to get rid of pests. The neighborhood also received services. Therefore, if I signed up today I could get the service for $99 instead of $257. They would come four times a year, starting on Friday. I was told I could cancel before Friday and not be charged if my family and I decided we did not need the service. I called over 10 times and drove to the office in person. My account was not put into the system within 48 hours of the scheduled service, no one could look up my account to cancel it. When I drove 30 minutes to the office they would not allow me inside to fix the matter due to safety measures, which is understandable. However, if someone is coming to my house I should be able to cancel the service! I should have an account number! read more

I received an "estimate" from Travis and there is no way in hell I am going to use Terminix. When I called to make the initial appointment, they had an address for me that was absolutely incorrect and I have no idea where they got it from. Then, the representative said that someone could go out Saturday between 4-6. Half an hour after I made the appointment, Travis called and left me a message stating that they ended at noon and there was no way anyone would be coming out on Saturday between 4-6. He said to call him back to reschedule. I called twice, left 2 messages and didn't receive a call back. I called again on Monday morning, got his voicemail again, left a message and finally got a call back. He said that he would try to "squeeze me in" sometime in the afternoon. I asked him to call my tenant and schedule with her as I was walking into a meeting. Travis showed up at the house, my tenant spoke with him, and according to her not only did he not look at anything (being a real estate broker I know all about termite inspections), he simply measured the house and left. I should also mention that she has a security camera system set up and all this is probably on camera as well. Travis, upon leaving, called me and told me that I had activity (funny, he didn't look at anything, but then again I already knew I have a termite problem). I said "Yes, I need the bait stations refilled." He them proceeded to tell me that he couldn't do that, that the bait stations that were there should have been removed at the end of the 5 year contract that I allegedly had (which was hilarious because I just bought the house LAST YEAR). On top of that, he said that it was going to cost me $1000 for treatment. I started laughing my ass off. He wanted $1000 up front!! He then said there was also another $500 fee for something so it would be $1500. I got immensely ticked off and said "Do you really think I have that kind of money?" He proceeded to say "Well, it's a rental." To which I responded "Do you think that just because I have a rental property I have $1500 to spend?" Um, no sir, I do not. I told him I wanted to see whatever contract he had so I could make a decision and that I also needed to get other quotes. This is when he proceeded to tell me "Well, we all use the same company for our chemicals so it's going to be the same wherever you go." I laughed and said I would find out for myself. I also informed him that there was no way in hell I was going to give him any of my personal information (he suggested "financing" the service... um, no.) over the phone because he may not even be legit. This guy was rude, he treated me like I was an idiot- which I was DEFINITELY NOT GOING TO TAKE! I will find another company and I won't even touch Terminix with a 10 foot pole. I signed up for a year of pest control and was mislead as to what services I was receiving. Additionally, they would schedule times for the service to come out without consulting me. I ended up only having three treatment times in one calendar year because they would give unrealistic windows of time, during working hours, with only 24 hours of notice. I do not recommend them. I called them for a refinance termite inspection. The first time, they sent someone not properly licensed as indicated by my loan officer and I had to reschedule. The second visit it was the SAME person, but this time it cost $150. He did the same inspection, but in his write up the house description was not my house, i.e. said it had vinyl siding...I do not, shingle roof...I have a steel roof. I called Terminex, explained the discrepencies. Obviously, this inspector had cut and pasted his report from someone elses home. Terminex said a manager would contact me. They have not. A so-called professional report, cost $150 and not worth the ipad it was written on. I will never work with them again and hope you don't either. read more

Travis came out to give us an estimate for rodent exclusion at our home. He told us the entire perimeter needed treatment and the job would take a full day. He also told us that we could use another company and pay less but they would only treat entry points. He quoted us $1900 for the treatment and although we didn't know it at the time our credit card was billed 6 days prior to the work being done. After the work was completed we found that only 12% of the house perimeter plus some corners were actually treated and the technician that did the work was there for less than three hours. He told us that he only treated obvious entry points as is properly done. In other words Travis totally misrepresented the required work required. Upon contacting Terminix they have failed to return our calls. We feel totally ripped off and will NEVER use Terminix again. Travis should wear a mask. read more
