This company knows nothing about customer service. The treatment they did on their first visit did not solve the problem. I was told the follow up appointment would be a week later but they never scheduled it. I tried to use their portal to reschedule but that is completely useless. And when I got an email from manager Chris Ratajcyk to schedule my follow up, I responded within 5 minutes and then never heard back from him. I see where the technucians get the idea that customer service isn't important. They're learning it from their management team. Technicians don't show up when they're scheduled and the work is shotty. Overpriced and the worst customer service I have ever seen. I can't believe how bad this company is. I asked the driver to cancel the service, and he said, "You are going to affect my numbers !" He stated he wanted to lower the price and I stated that I just wanted to cancel the service. He told me that he canceled the service and billed me for the service he did not provide. Brian McKeown is in charge of the Canton branch and never returned my calls and the company is billing me for services they did not provide. Customer service keeps stating they left him a message but he never returns the call. They will also not provide me a number for him or tell me the address or phone number of corporate. This is the worst company I have ever worked with!! Or should I say, tried to work with! Their contact says they will be out every 3 months to inspect. Guess what... no shows!! An appointment is made and no one shows up. This happened 3 times in one week. Then someone finally shows up at 8 on a Saturday morning (there is more to the story) and refuses to come inside because I confronted him about the 3 prior appointments this week that he missed. I own a rental property and scheduled service for pest control. They placed a hold on my credit card for the services and then never arrived for the appointment. I tried calling them multiple times only to be disconnected due to larger than expected call volume. This is not only an inconvenience to me, but more importantly my tenants whom I have to notify in advance of entry to their homes. I need companies who honor their scheduled appointments, so I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I paid Terminix $1200 for Squirrel removal for two areas in my eves. The salesmen told me the would come to my house find the entrance points trap the squirrels and close the entrance points He informed me that they would go up on the roof and find the points of entry. The next morning two techs arrived. I showed them where I thought hey were getting in and they told me they would put a trap on my front lawn and on my lower back deck No where near the area I told them. I said I thought it should be near the entrance points as I have had an issue like this before and that is how it was resolved. The tech (I think his name was Michael) told me they would check the traps every day but If I saw an animal in the trap call. The techs were at my house less than 5 minutes and never did what I was told. Never even took a ladder off their truck. I called the only number I had, which as they salesmen Sean. He told me to call 800 Terminix I called them they told me that to get a squirrel (that was now in the front trap) picked up I would need to set another appointment which I would be contacted about in 48 hours. I asked about the traps being checked daily and was told they don't do that. and it was my responsibility. They didn't do anything they said they would and now I have a squirrel dying in my front yard and nothing resolved. I wish I would have checked their rating first. BUYER BEWARE read more

SCAM ALERT: this company engages in criminal practices and should be investigated by the attorney general for the state of Ohio and feds. All they do is lie. They are completely unresponsive to real issues of fraud. They do not even provide the services they advertise for. Every aspect of this company suggests a criminal enterprise. They get class action lawsuits annually for defrauding customers so this is just their business model. I am currently being charged $109 a month I can't stop. I have no contract with them. I never authorized the payments off of my personal account. Terminix refuses to stop stealing from me or address my concerns. There aren't enough MINUS stars for this company. In my opinion, this company is worthless. I took out their "rodent protection" plan and apparently it is about protecting the rodent. Squirrels chewed holes in all four upper story corners of our house and one black one moved into the eaves inside the aluminum soffitt. Having watched this one squirrel for some time, I knew where he ran but the techs ignored me when I told them and they set traps on other sides of the house where he never went. Meanwhile the squirrel continued to enlarge the hole he had made. When I complained, the techs (at the manager's orders) came and closed up the hole WITH THE SQUIRREL STILL INSIDE. After calling to tell them, it was still a couple days until they came. Meanwhile the squirrel is frantically chewing. Then they opened up the hole on the opposite side of the house that we had already had a professional construction guy close up. When the squirrel couldn't escape there, they came back and PULLED DOWN PART OF OUR SOFFITT to let him out AND TOOK THE TRAPS AWAY. The squirrel continues to chew our house and is attempting to open up a new hole as I type this. I let them know a week ago and still there is no response. Earlier the manager texted me to say Terminix can't keep the squirrel from chewing on the house but they will get him out when HE GETS BACK INSIDE. No thanks for MORE DAMAGE done to my house courtesy of Terminix. I ask you: What are the traps for if not for catching the squirrel and keeping him from destroying our house? If I could give zero stars I would. Our mosquitoes are worse than ever. They have lied to us on multiple occasions. They were at our house, and a week later we called to say we saw no difference in the mosquitoes, and could barely even go outside. They said they would come back to respray. I got a text saying they were on their way, then another one 5 minutes later saying their service was complete. We were outside, and no one ever came. I texted the man to call him out, and no response. Tried getting a hold of the local office (which is difficult in itself). The man that answered had obvious special needs and hung up on me twice (I believe by accident). Finally talked to someone that could potentially help, and she promised the local manager (from Canton) would call me that day. He never did. Have 40 people over the following day and everyone was eaten alive by mosquitoes. There is a reason why all my neighbors use other companies, and we will be switching too. Called Terminix for an inspection on Tuesday, July 6; they said a tech would be here Wednesday, 1-3 p.m. No one showed, no one called. Finally got a service person on the phone Wed. evening; they said there was no answer on the tech's line, so they scheduled me an appointment Friday, July 9, 10-12 p.m. I told them they had to be in and out by 12, as my husband had an appointment and no-one would be here in the afternoon. No one showed, no one called; I called them at 11:35 to see where the tech was; the tech said he didn't "know he had an appointment here", but saw it was scheduled from 1-3 today. Be careful, this company tricks you into a contract. We were lied to by sales rep, we specifically asked him if we would be in a contract if we had them come do a treatment and he said no, when they came out I was at work and they asked my husband to sign their IPad, my husband (though I admit should have read it) thought he was just signing that they were there and treated. No one explained that he was signing a contract and my husband didn't ask because we were told by the sales rep, Brian (CROOK) we wouldn't have a contract. Once I realized it was a contract I called the CROOK and he said " all you have to do is call and asked them to cancel, you will only need to pay for the termite disc's they put out, LIES! I was told it would cost me $1,000 to cancel and there was no way to get out of it!! (T&L pest control in canton was 120 bucks and guaranteed there work for three months) terminix wanted to charge me 350 and would only guarantee there work for three weeks, but if I had them come back id be paying another service charge. These people are the worst! Went in with my neighbor to rid the area between our homes of moles. Instead of the traps, they decided to put in poisonous worm bait. They were aware I had 2 small dogs as I had expressed my concern about worms. When I spoke to them about it, they assured me the worms were buried far enough in the ground holes that my dogs could never get them. Was outside with my dogs, look away for a min, turn around and my littlest one had a piece of the worm bait in her mouth. I immediately called my vet. Had to force peroxide down her throat to induce vomiting, then take her in right away. While dealing with that trauma, I contacted Terminex because the vet needed to know what kind of poison and the amount they were dealing with. It took numerous calls and texts back and forth because, get this, THEY DIDN'T KNOW!! My little puppy had to stay overnight at the vets getting a charcoal solution forced down her throat in amounts that were incredible! This all occurred in December of 2020. The manager, Dan Stott (Scott?), has NEVER returned my numerous calls. Because my neighbor made the initial call to them, and the salesman Tracey couldn't figure out how to add a second email, name, or address, Terminex refuses to acknowledge me as a customer. Even though I was the one that walked the yards with them and it's MY signature on the contract. It's also MY checking account that paid for it. All that I asked for was for them to do the right thing and pay the vet bill. They admitted their responsibility, said they would take care of it, and gave me a fax number to send the bill to. Now it's the end of May. Every time I call, I have to repeat the same story over and over to someone new. And over and over again they give me a bunch of bs and assure me someone will contact me "within 24-48 hrs". That $216 isn't gonna make or break either one of us, it's the point for me now! I've NEVER dealt with a more ridiculous company in my life. It doesn't even matter if I actually wasn't their customer. THEY caused harm to MY dog. End of story!! So I guess now they can pay that vet bill, plus court costs and attorney fees on top of it. What an ignorant, irresponsible company! read more

Have lived in our current home for 26 years and never had s reason to reach out to s pest control "professional" until last week. Discovered some carpenter ants nesting inside of our hot tub (exterior) so I called Terminix. They came out and did an inspection of our home and found no evidence of termites or carpenter ants. Then they inspected the hot tub and did find carpenter ants. To my surprise they tried to sell me a pest plan starting at $39 up to in excess of $100 per month. We are retired and have no desire to enter into a never ending long term contract. Terminix REFUSED to take care of our ant problem unless we entered into a long term monthly contract. After receiving a bill for a service I had already given my Visa account number 'the same day of service' ,almost 30 days earlier. I got a dog & pony response saying the local dealer only uses that card number for a 'reference'. I then asked them to delete my Visa card number from their computer and use my MasterCard to pay off the bill I just received. They said per government regulations they could not remove my Visa number which infuriated me. I've removed credit card numbers from various accounts and substituted them with a new credit card so that is total B/S . I'm watching my Visa account very closely and if I get double billed they will definitely hear from my lawyer.Now I have doubts if the service was even done correctly. My daughter called Terminix in Canton, Ohio for a mice problem she was having at her home that she bought a year ago. The gentleman gave her a quote of $1700 but with a $300 discount so $1400~to get rid of her mice and told her she had an asbestos problem also (which she had just had a home inspection when she bought her home, I am sure they inspected for asbestos). After speaking with the gentleman on the phone, I stated: "I do not understand why they would not of found the asbestos during the home inspection" and he said to my daughter "I thought you told me you did not have anything done to the house". My daughter thought when he asked that question at the beginning of him coming out to her house that he meant like repairs. He was meaning a home inspection. This threw up a huge red flag to me, I told him we would like to get a second quote. My daughter got a quote from Aid Pest Control and it was only $202 and they got rid of the mice and came out twice to make sure they were gone. This was $1200 cheaper!! I do not understand why they gave a quote this high and scared a young girl to think she had an other problem (asbestos) in her newly bought house. read more

I really wish I would have read these reviews before signing up with them! While the service performed was fine (although that really isn't saying much as I really didn't need them and got them to satisfy my wife who saw a spider in the house.... once), their customer service is terrible! After I cancelled service and told the tech I did not want/need anymore service beyond the year I had paid in advance for - still came out anyway and billed me. What I thought was a simple phone call where they apologized and "took care of it" was anything but. Nothing was actually done, no remarks, no notes, nothing removed - they just wanted to get off the phone and left it in the system. I have had calls every couple weeks for the past several months - each time apologizing and saying it will be taken care of only to be called again and the new person saying that there is nothing on the account that it was improperly billed. I sure hope the $100 you will never get from me on principle alone (because I said in advance of service not to come and cancelled) is worth the business you lost in my neighborhood as several neighbors who had you switched after hearing of my experience, and others aren't even considering you. read more
