Saved my sons life. Best OB I've ever been to. It's not like I try to go to OB's. I don't think anyone wants a metal clamp in their va-jj

I've been coming here for several years now and I've watched it grow from a neighborhood clinic to…read morea large health center that does just about everything you might need (medically) except emergency and surgery. Recently, the center underwent (yet another) extensive remodeling. It's switched from the old style, down the corridor to an exam room floor plan to a centralized layout. Patient confidentiality is a priority here. Unlike the old days, you will not (typically) encounter other patients or staff unless you both happen to be on the move to or from the lobby. The new design is part of the Patient-Centered Medical Home Program where we (patients) can establish a long-term relationship with a practitioner and a team of medical professionals who actually try to get to know us. The staff here is professional but outgoing and friendly. They are all top-notch pros at what they do. From the receptionists to the lab to x-ray to doctors, this is an impressive operation. The lobby is huge, with comfortable furniture for all ages including high chairs for folks with mobility issues and a special alcove with juvenile tables and chairs for the little folks along with activities to keep them occupied. There is a television (usually on the home improvement channel) and periodicals that are actually current and of popular interest! Chances are pretty good you won't be in there very long, either. Froedtert has an impressive computer network. Rows and rows of lateral file cabinets and thousands of manila folders? All gone! Terminals everywhere bring up your record instantly to whoever is providing services. Hang nails to hearts, infants to old farts like me, this clinic does it all and does it very well. Besides all that, they put up with me. ;)

I think most ladies tend to be particular about their ob-gyns. Once you develop that relationship…read moreit's hard to get enthused about finding a new one. That's been my experience, anyway. Long after I've moved from the area, I still come to Dr Metoff. I've never had a bad experience with her or with her staff. The closest I came was having to wait more than an hour once upon a time because of an emergency with another patient. Babies are like that. They come when they want. If you're on a schedule and want to be sure you won't wait, a call to the office to ask about wait times should alleviate that. One thing I like is having a doctor who's either seen or been through the life experiences we all have. There's something about trying to explain a pain or an ache or a twinge to a doctor who, although he or she tries, cannot help but have that "what the heck are you trying to say?" look. I don't want to feel like I've sent my doctor to the nearest med school library for research and then find myself written up as a case study in the newest edition of [name of specialty] journal. There's none of that here. Dr. M knows the right questions to ask if you're having trouble verbalizing your concerns. She works in the Lifetime ObGyn practice if you're the type who's more comfortable with that environment instead of a solo practice.

Doctor was very condescending and rude. Will be finding a different place for the future.read more
