Spicy Tofu Bowl
Taylor A.

I highly recommend the spicy tofu bowl! It's not overly spicy, and the veggies with the rice and sauce mixed in give it a really strong flavor!

Found them driving by. We expected fast food and that is pretty accurate; reminded me of the stir fry mall food I grew up enjoying. Wish they had bourbon chicken - yum!! Choose your protein, carb, add veg - an egg roll and soda make it a meal. I tried the salmon and orange chicken with noodles and veg as a meal. Husband did spicy chicken, fried rice, veg meal. First observation is the bathroom hallway serves as storage and something spilled because my shoes stuck to the floor. Pretty yucky, I had to wash the bottoms of my shoes. Food was good. Salmon was not overly fishy, a little dry but worth it - covered in a sweet sauce. Orange chicken was delicious, noodles were perfect, veg was also standard and good - cabbage, broccoli, squash mix. Our egg rolls were cold, such a bummer. Husband enjoyed his as meal well. Said the spicy chicken was more mild but had excellent marinade. It's a little pricey for fast food - $36 out the door but I guess Salmon isn't cheap either. There was no listing for food allergies (except gluten) and I took a chance...so far I'm doing okay. Cashier did her best to try and look for resources (we found calorie counts) but did not ask the cook; considering the food type I didn't push it. Solid choice for fast food. We will be back!

Spicy Chicken Teriyaki

The spicy chicken was so good paired with the vegetables and noodles. The sauce was sweet which balance the spicy flavor of the chicken.

Food in the bag.

Teriyaki Madness was pretty good and relatively quick. I think my biggest disappointment was the response and state of my pick up items. Now if it was delivery I could be more understanding since driving is involved but I came into the store and saw a bag with the items in it all toppled over. Upon receiving it I had showed them the bag to a staff member and that all the food boxes were upside down in the bag to which I got the response, "sorry, that happens sometimes...". I didn't fight it since I was short on time but I was at least offered a double bag to keep the juices from spilling... Again, this was how the food was sitting on the counter, all the food packs were upside down and juices were spilled. I don't get it. The flavor of the food was a bit sweet for my palette, but my nephews loved it so I won't knock any thing against that.

Bag o' delicious
Chris H.

A bit pricey but the food is as fresh as it gets and always comes out hot and tasty. Good coupons come in the mail for locals.

Ordered the spicy chicken with noodles and an egg roll. The flavor was quite bland and the chicken was over cooked and tough.

My two small critiques: (01) I didn't sense that the tofu was roasted as advertised, and (02) 2/4 rolls were stuck together, and my fillings partially spilled out. This worked well, and the overall vibe of the restaurant from the ordering to the seating choices is quick service. Service: The restaurant was relatively slow due to being so newly opened, but the service was great. The staff worked hard to answer our questions to the best of their ability. Food: The menu had a few mixups with the things that were labeled gluten-free, and the staff seemed unclear what the answers were until another person (owner) could be available. This is critical for my friend not to be sick. In the end, my dining partner kind of did her best guessing and was happily correct. However, we will probably not be back together until they get that sorted out. It's not worth getting her sick. Pros: - Efficient - great choices - delicious beverages - The food was so good I dug in before I even snapped the picture Cons: - despite being labeled gluten-free on the menu, there were clearly some mixups - beverages were quite pricey

The menu is very big and there's a lot of variety and something for everyone! I can't recommend this place enough, it is truly one of my favorite restaurants in Michigan. The service is very attentive and kind and even when we went on a busy night and they were missing a chef, they were still super accommodating and apologetic. I will say this is definitely on the pricier side but you are paying for amazing quality food, service and ambiance! Expect to pay around $80+ per person for drink, apps, entree and dessert depending on what you get. There is plenty of street parking in Saugatuck but during the busier summer months you might have to circle around a few times to find a spot. When we went this past week, there were plenty of spots available.

While sitting here tonight in a Kalamazoo Hotel, it's about 3am and I'm polishing off my dinner…read moreleftovers from DAK GOOD, a Korean Fried Chicken joint. Whenever I'm out of town, I ALWAYS look for a Korean restaurant, and as luck would have it, there are a few in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Yay!! Only thing wrong with my search, two of the three were closing in ten minutes and the third was advertised as Fried Chicken. I was 15 minutes away, so I gave in for the chicken, with fingers crossed that they'd have other popular dish options. Beautiful little restaurant when you arrive, very clean too. Immediately greeted and asked if to-go or dine-in, as they have a good counter for food delivery services. I of course opted to dine-in since I had about an hour til closing. Really nice looking menu, with plenty of selections beyond Fried Chicken. I didn't hesitate too long as to expedite my meal before closing. I ordered Pork Pot Stickers (Yakimandu), JapChae, and some Bulgogi. PanChan was extra, and the Kimchi along with Pickled Radish were my selection. The Yakimandu arrived first, nicely plated with half So Garlic Sauce and half Spicy Sauce. The mandi were delicious with these brushed sauces. That Spicy was no joke either, had a really good burning kick. The remainder of the meal was brought out together. The plates looked great and I couldn't wait to dig in, but if course pictures first. Both were super delicious and really hitting the spot after a long day. Very tasty meals. The staff brought me out a dessert after seeing me take all the photos, something I've never had, Deep Fried Cheesecake. Check out the photos. Definitely a different take on the dessert. Everything outside was crispy, of course, with the inside still the same. It was a texture experience. The staff were super friendly, very well knowledged on the menu items. Place was very clean, not just clean, but very clean! I think they said they've been there just over a year. I was served by Freda, and Caroline was there to assist when needed. The hostess was a real sweetheart, I'll call hers "Zaps" (because she had the TV remote at closing and I missed her real name). Young masked gentleman, again missed name, and one of the owners Kenny and his wife Lin. So good, I will be eating lunch and/or dinner there again tomorrow or Monday depending on time. I definitely want to try the Fried Chicken, probably not with the Spicy Sauce this time. LOL I do highly recommend you try this place if you haven't.

Fun fact - Dak means chicken in Korean :) So Chicken Good!…read more I visit my fam in Kzoo every summer so my sister brought me here bc she knows I love Korean food. She's been to Dak a couple other times and said it was good. Place is somewhat new so it has that new interior clean vibe still. We were greeted right away and our waitress was really nice and attentive. We ordered the Korean cheese balls, buldak - spicy chicken with rice cakes so if you can't handle the spice don't get this!, stone bowl bibimbap with tofu, and the Korean sliders - you can choose beef or chicken and we went with beef. Everything was delish! Dak Good is a nice edition to Kzoo/Portage so I'd def go back on my next visit :)
