My daughter and I enjoyed the fantastic Maki Roll Lunch at Kiwami today. Brian our server was excellent. The sushi was freshly made and enjoyed with miso soup and a salad. We shall be back!

Great go-to sushi spot! Many options, friendly service, and thoughtful presentation. Great prices. My favorite was the Gold Lobster Roll.

Wow! A definite gem and worth the drive from wherever you are. The restaurant sits on the end of a small strip mall, across the street from Spring Lake. It's cute, with a nice little sushi bar. My daughter ordered a sweet potato roll and a California roll that she asked to be deep fried. We had soy sauce and spicy mayo on the side. Both rolls were fantastic - I preferred the Cali dipped in spicy mayo and she loved the sweet potato roll dipped in soy sauce. I ordered the beef fried ramen. It had a good little spice kick, but not the burn-your-face off spice, the tingly, tasty spice. It was loaded with veggies and meat, no broth, and he brought the house-made Yum-Yum sauce, which he said was in case my dinner was too spicy. Our server, Bryan, did a great job, answered questions, and directed me toward the ramen when I was on the fence. It's a great little place, and we will definitely be back.

So glad this place is here. This has become our new go to for local sushi. Quality is exceptional. Service is excellent. Prices are high, but on par with other sushi places in the area and the selection and flavors here are top tier. We always start with wontons and get a couple rolls and some noodles. No complaints. The freshness and quality of ingredients shine. Everything was perfect. I will admit the dining room is small, so I can see how wait times and volume could be an issue during a rush, but we went for lunch and were the only ones there. Which is kind of a shame because for the taste, it should be packed open to close. It's clean, cozy, quiet and delicious.

The handful of times I've eaten here have equally been wonderful. The sushi is delicious, fresh, and they definitely don't skimp on the fish! My favorite roll that I've tried so far is the Michigan roll. I'm looking forward to trying their sashimi next time. It's great that they have a large menu that satisfies even non-seafood eaters. My son really enjoyed the teriyaki bento box and chicken katsu. Our server was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had everything we needed. Will be coming here every time we are craving sushi!

Wonderful hidden gem! Hubby took me for our Anniversary Lunch & I was in heaven! We tried the deep fried oysters, shrimp dumplings & shrimp tempura appetizers. He tried the poke bowl & I had the lunch sashimi & sushi combo! Delicious!

Kiwami Roll, the crisped rice "patty" was ‍ perfect! Loved the crunch and flavor combination.

Spring Lake, I'm jealous you have this new restaurant! Great menu, creative items that stand out from other sushi restaurants, and convenient location. I took my take out down to the waterfront park behind their building and enjoyed great food with a good view. The staff is so sweet and proud of their business.

3 roll lunch special - packaged very nicely!

What an amazing addition to the lakeshore! I've been to Kiwami 5+ times and it's consistently great. I LOVE 3 roll lunch special with miso soup and side salad- such a steal. I've enjoyed every sushi roll I've tried, the gyoza and the veggie tempura! My husband frequently travels to Japan and he agreed that what he had (sushi rolls & gyoza) were authentic and almost identical to what he eats in Japan! My takeout (lunch special!!) was packaged securely and with thought- leaving nothing out. Thanks Kiwami for the delicious food and great service!

    Sushi dinner! So good!!

Located in a strip mallI, walked into the establishment and at a small table two patrons sit eating. The ambiance was similar to most small Asian restaurants we've purchased food from. Male standing at sushi bar told him I was there to pick up my order. He stated the hostess would be with me in a minute. Hostess arrived took payment for order and a few minutes later our food came out. The food is pricey and portions are on the small side compared to other Asian cuisine in the area. We paid 60+ dollars for 3 wok dinners and a salad. Yellow Curry Wok Tossed $15.00 Potatoes, onions, carrots and peas wok fried in a sweet yellow Thai curry sauce with your choice of protein (Didn't like that the potatoes in the dish were potato logs like the ones you get from the deli.) 2 Dinner Broccoli Wok Tossed $1 Sauteed broccoli in a flavorful brown sauce with your choice of protein Thai Salad Lettuce, carrots, cucumbers, tomatoes, cilantro, pineapple, chicken satay with peanut vinaigrette dressing (My salad did not have pineapple!!) and we didn't care for the peanut vinaigrette dressing that comes with the salad. A Plus: The 2 Dinner Broccoli Wok Tossed were not greasy and the beef was a better quality and cut a bit thicker. We can check off this local Asian Cuisine establishment and continue our tasting journey. I hope they maybe a diamond in the rough.

It was Mother's Day for our visit. Reservations were made well in advance. We were promptly seated when we arrived and request for drinks and appetizers was made quickly. We were given enough time to enjoy our appetizers and first course before the hibachi chef arrived and went over all of our orders. From there it is hard to describe. The chef was knowledgeable and engaging, but he was in a hurry. We are long term patrons of Kazumi and we were disappointed a bit. The food was good, but the experience we anticipated was lacking. There was little of the usual enthusiasm we were used to, very little interaction with the guests and the chef appeared to be in a big rush to be done; so much so that the chicken I had ordered as part of my meal was missed. The chef got a little panicked, ran to the kitchen for an order of raw chicken and threw it on the grill, chopped the already coned click into tiny piecesput a bowl over it to speed the process.

I met up with several colleagues for a late dinner at Kazumi and thought we could all find something we liked. The restaurant was pretty clean and your average hibachi setup. Our waiter was a younger guy who was a bit snarky and quick witted, but we all had fun with him. He got all our drinks and hibachi order taken. I opted for the steak and chicken combo, but with no rice or noodles and extra veggies. When the hibachi chef came out, it was the usually flinging food and big flames. One of my coworkers had never been before and looked a bit horrified, but we all had fun. The hibachi was pretty decent, I wish I had a little more veggies, since I skipped the other sides. Overall, a pretty decent experience.

He was kind, efficient, and attentive. We made a reservation and were seated quickly. Ambiance: 4/5 - The ambiance was charming. Darker, quieter (they also weren't super busy at 6 on a Saturday which was surprising), and had tasteful decor. We sat next to the fireplace which was so lovely and warm. Beverages: They either jigger or short pour. Mine was tasty but needed a few more sips, his was interesting, but I would have expected his to come in a pint, vs a modified high ball (approx. 6oz with ice?) Food: Here's where it kind of fell apart. We ordered the bread plate (1/5) because I had gotten pasta as a main dish and it isn't served with any bread. Focaccia was good, but the pumpkin was burnt. Pumpkin isn't something I normally would eat, so I am letting his ranking stand. Also, wasn't a fan of either butter. He ordered the fish and chips (1/5) and the batter was definitely inedibly undercooked on the second piece. He picked out the fish from inside. The fries were standard. The pea stuff was interesting. I didn't mind it, but definitely didn't need a whole soup cup full. I tried the other piece of his cod and it was fine. My entree was the Seafood Tomato Alfredo. I'd say a heavy 4/5. Typically, I don't eat red sauce, and this was a very medium orange. My only complaint is that it could have used a teaspoon of sugar to cut the bitterness (as a person who doesn't eat red sauce). If you do, this is probably a 5/5 for you. The seafood pieces were plentiful and large, and the pasta perfect. Overall the food came quickly and was a generous portion. However, we probably won't be back to try it again as he was quite unsatisfied and would probably rate his entire experience a 1/5. For me, I'd give it another shot, but for the money, if we want a nicer dinner we would probably find somewhere else.
