This is a lunch spot for some of my co-workers and I. The place is clean and the workers are efficient They are fast and the food is always hot. They do give you a lot of rice, which I can never finish. read more

Teriyaki Express - Sushi Bars Near Me - Margate, Florida

This place is similar to a mall food court Asian place. Price has gone up over the years, but I suppose most things have. Their portions are still good, though. Wish they kept their vegetarian menu items. All in all, decent for what it is, and I will still grab a bite there from time to time read more

Finally gave this place a try after driving past it numerous times, it always smells really good. Was very disappointed in the taste. Got the teriyaki and shrimp platter, looked great big portion unfortunately it was terrible. The chicken has a very weird texture, not chicken like at all it was very off putting, I couldn't eat it I had 2 bites and threw it out. The shrimp had no flavor. The veggies were overcooked and soggy. The rice was mushy. I also tried a dragon roll, it was fine and the reason I gave two stars instead of one. Overall I would not recommend. read more

Teriyaki Express - Sushi Bars Near Me - Margate, Florida

This is fast food/food court Asian. It will not rival anyone's best cuisine list, but it was surprisingly decent. This restaurant near the Walmart was a convenient stop when we were looking for a quickie lunch before shopping. It's basically a takeout joint, but it does have a couple tables inside. We chose to eat inside. We ordered at the counter and paid and they brought our food (in to go containers) to us. You help yourself to condiments (duck sauce, sriracha, etc.). We both ordered the combo chicken and shrimp teriyaki with white rice. It was cooked right then and there in front of us and was ready in only minutes. The portion was huge. There were about 8 medium size shrimp and a lot of chicken pieces in a light amount teriyaki sauce on top of the mound of rice. Veggies included cabbage, carrots and broccoli. I liked the shrimp better than the chicken. I also ordered an egg roll which had chicken in it. I added duck sauce and soy to both. We each took half of our food home for another meal. If you're looking for a quick Asian meal in this area of town and you're on a budget and not too fussy, this might be a place to consider. read more

Went here for the first time 6/17. Did a phone order, the girl on the phone was very nice and patient. On arrival, they were very nice and food was ready. I paid $30 for two plates and Cali roll. The jalapeño chicken was better than this one. I think it just needs a little bit of salt to bring the flavors together, but that's just preference. You get a lot of food for your money.. couldn't even finish half of it lol. read more

Food is okay, unfortunately they nickel and dime you on everything and then lie on the phone about the situation. Plus Sarku Japan in the mall has a better chicken teriyaki roll than this place. You are better off ordering from there. Sad. read more

Teriyaki Express is located in the Lakewood Shopping Center in Margate next to the Walmart. It is part of the Sarku Japan franchise, founded in 1987. Today it has become one of the largest quick service Japanese chains in the country. They were created on the quick lunch concept that is popular in Japan. The company has stalls in mall food courts and free standing stores under the Teriyaki and Sushi Express name. This location has been open since 2016 and they still remain popular. I am not the biggest fan of the chicken thighs they use in the chicken teriyaki but members of my family love it. Double meat, rice, and vegetables runs you $10. It's a huge portion, easily enough for two people. In addition to the chicken teriyaki they are most famous for, they also have bento boxes and sushi but I've never tried them. They are operating strictly as take out now. Dining has been removed and no more free samples. The boxes lining the wall where the tables used to be looks kind of trashy. Still if you are looking for a quick, inexpensive mea, this is probably one of your more healthy options. read more

Always delicious, freshly cooked all the time. I Probably go once a week. My favorite is the shrimp and beef noodles

Fast food Asian fusion that is really good! I had the Shrimp and Chicken combo with veggies and white rice. My order was cooked in a short time and a very large portion. Took half home for dinner tonight! Great value and lots of choices ! read more

Have you ever had creamy sushi? That's what was served here. I wouldn't recommend if you're looking for a decent to good experience.

I noticed this place seemed pretty busy whenever I would pass by, so one day when I didn't feel like cooking, I decided to order takeout from them. When I called, someone answered quickly and was very pleasant. I was able to place my order easily over the phone - she repeated everything back to me to make sure it was correct and asked when I would like to pick it up. She took my name and I didn't have to pay until I went to get the food. I arrived about 10 mins after calling, and when I walked in, I was immediately greeted by everyone behind the counter, including the cook! My food was ready and neatly bagged up. They verified my name and order, took the payment and I was on my way. When I got back home and opened the containers, the food was still steaming hot! Nice big portions and pretty tasty :) I got the chicken teriyaki with noodles and my boyfriend got the chicken & shrimp fried rice. Definitely get the extra sauce - it's worth it. I will order from them again in the future because of how friendly and efficient they are - and of course because the food is good at a great price. Thank you! PS - they do have tables inside for dine-in and the restaurant looked clean and tidy read more

They are a great choice when you're in the middle of the week and you want a change up. They move quickly and correctly with your order.

Close to work so I decided to check it out since I like the one in Coral Springs. I have to say I was a little disappointed. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken Bento Box. Dumpling was tasty, cali roll was , well, cali roll. However the teriyaki didn't do it for me. Was very greasy and less teriyak-y. Don't think I'll buy from the Margate location again. read more

Teriyaki Express being 10 minutes from my work, I was going to try it sooner than later. They make all their main dishes with teriyaki sauce and you can pick your protein such as chicken, shrimp, fish, tofu etc. The order comes with rice or noodles. The 2-3 cooks are constantly cooking when you place your order. That being said, I'm not sure why I didn't try their teriyaki entree. Instead I order shrimp tempura roll, it was just ok. Mediocre in taste and presentation since a few pieces were breaking apart. The crab rangoon side order was pretty good, they made it fresh and it was still good when I brought it back to work. I wont rule this place out, it's decent. Good pick up place for lunch. Side Note: Parking lot is extremely busy since they are right next to Walmart. read more

Yeah the prices are good the food is good but I have a problem with doing this stuff the cards that they give you with the stamp every time you buy a chicken teriyaki I purchased five of them at once got to get the card I went back there the next day with he was sitting my hand and shoulder to them and they refused to give me the card so I will never go back here again read more

Very fast service food made fresh while you wait , I ordered sushi for the forks and a teriyaki bento box for me and Jeremiah , how happy was I when the dumplings are chicken not pork (I don't eat pork) and extra meat on teriyaki box only 1.99 yum yummy read more

Was back in town and stopped by again for lunch. Got the chicken and shrimp teriyaki with white rice and shrimp tempura. Teriyaki just as good but definitely disappointed by the shrimp tempura. No tempura sauce but they gave me another sauce. Tempura (3 for $3.99) was over battered , and tasteless- unless you count the taste of oil. They need to change the oil in the fryer. I ended up pulling off the breading and eating the shrimp. It's probably fine on a shrimp tempura sushi roll, but not just as tempura. I think I'll go back to the bento box as I really loved that! read more

Teriyaki Express gives you that teriyaki chicken you love from your favorite mall, but without the hassle of actually having to go the mall and minus the person passing out free samples. The restaurant is located next to Walmart on the corner. It's not too big inside, but does have a few tables. Now like I said, this is just like the teriyaki chicken place(s) in your mall so your order goes like this: Teriyaki chicken Pick your rice: white or fried Vegetables: yes or no Double meat for $1.59 extra: yes or no Teriyaki sauce on your chicken: yes or no Once you pay you'll stand in front of the grill and wait for your food just like in the mall. Your meal is given to you in a take out container and I think for good reason- the portions are huge. Maybe because I got suckered into the $1.59 up charge. Note to self: that's too much food. Everything tastes fine. Actually it tasted just how I remembered it to taste at the other locations (in the mall). It was perfectly fine. My meal cost $10 with the up charge and a drink so that wasn't bad at all and you get your food within a few minute wait. Worth it if you're craving teriyaki chicken and you want something quick and easy. I will say the main downside is that when you walk in, you walk out smelling like the place which isn't something you really want, but if you're hungry, it's probably worth it! read more

I must say, I've eaten at this pace more than a few times. Love the food. I usually have the chicken and shrimp with lo Mein and veggies. I'll also recommend there teriyaki chicken roll and there shrimp roll. Great choices. Now to the heart of the matter and this low rating. You gotta be checking you receipt from this place when you order. I just recently ate there over the weekend and they charged my for something I didn't even order. I'm the type of person that eat the same thing from a place I like and expect the same price. Unless we talking talking supply and demand, but the price was the same. Now even the the price for a teriyaki chicken roll California roll is not too far away, you do that to a few customers a day. You done came up. I'm watching my receipt for that up charge now read more

Exceptional food. Love the Chicken and Beef Terriyaki with noodles-and brown or fried rice. Consistent quality every time you order.

It was nice not having to go all the way to the mall to get some good teriyaki chicken. I literally always pass by this place but have never gotten a chance to eat; glad I finally got to try it. It was set up just like a restaurant in the mall. You pay and then move down to wait on your food. The food is cooked on a large grill, just as the mall. I ordered the teriyaki chicken special which was a plate of fried rice, teriyaki chicken and vegetables. My boyfriend ordered the same but he hates vegetables so opted for double fried rice and double chicken for an extra $1.59. The food was good, just what I expected to tell you the truth. Nothing different from a standard teriyaki restaurant in the mall. They are not stingy! My plate was covered in food and my boyfriend's plate was piled high with teriyaki chicken. It's a good, inexpensive, filling meal. There's bento boxes as well with sushi that looked pretty good. My experience was good, nothing spectacular. Just what I expected. read more

Quick, affordable, and the food is good. Staff is polite. Love stopping here for a quick meal.

The service could use a facelift. Dude jumped down my throat just cuz I asked if they were new in the area. They've been there for 2 years and supposedly get 200 visitors per day but homeboy only got 18 reviews!!!...he was like "people don't use Yelp"...if he don't know he better ask somebody. The food was good and cheap. They also serve huge portions of the meal combos and the sushi no matter how cheap is 10 pieces per roll. Another review said best. This place is like what you would find at a mall but without the mall experience. And get on Yelp!...it can do wonders for your business. You could have 400 people per day instead of 200. read more

Best Teriyaki ever!! We have been coming here every weekend for years now. Everyone is friendly. My mother and I always get teriyaki chicken with vegetables and add on double chicken and extra sauce on the rice. My very picky 14 year old gets the white rice with teriyaki chicken extra sauce on the rice. And my husband gets the teriyaki chicken with white rice extra sauce and adds shrimp. After countless orders only one time we had any problems with the food and it wasn't that big of an issue. My son wanted extra sauce and his didn't have it. Some places the vegetable are hard and not cooked thoroughly. I've never had that problem here at all. They are always the right texture and taste very good. I would highly recommend this place to any and everyone who loves teriyaki. read more

This is a good take out place. Only 1 dining table. The food was good. We will be going back. Delray Beach location.

When you don't have a Sarku Japan near you Teriyaki Express is the next best thing. $6.50 for a heaping order of chicken teriyaki with white rice and veggies! Small seating area, nice smiley guy behind the grill, and brusque Chinese lady manning the cash register. Plenty of parking in the plaza but it's right by Walmart so you might have to fight a people for closer parking. read more

I really enjoyed the food here to my surprise. It reminded me of mall food if that makes any sense ? It tasted fresh and I loved the bento box. Also tried the crab Rangoon's and ate them all.
