This is what the *unnamed major Mexican chain* thinks it is. The staff is so kind, and the restaurant is cute and organized. However, it's the food that sets them apart. The prices are SO reasonable given the portion sizes you get. The food is the freshest in the area, and SO delicious. Such a gem in Oak Square. Friendly staff, large menu with tons of toppings, large portions, plenty of indoor seating and it's cheap! You can tell this place is all about community. Even in the span of me sitting to eat my burrito with my friend, multiple people came in to purchase something from the mini market area in the back and it seemed like every single one of them were friends with the workers - just by being regulars. Overall: 9/10 Taste: 10/10 - These are the best fish tacos I've ever had. I like how they're not fried so that you can taste every ingredient. The fish feels fresh and the sauce adds a nice creaminess to pair with the citrus from the lime and pico. - The pupusa was freshly made but could've had more filling as it was mostly dough. Price: 10/10 - The price is very good and you can get a full meal for under $15 which is hard to do in Boston. Service: 8/10 - The staff are welcoming and friendly. Ambiance: 8/10 - There is not much seating which makes sense as the majority of their orders are takeout. I do wish they had an open salsa bar, instead they charge for chips and salsa. read more

Honestly the meats are super flavorful and juicy which means no dry tacos, however that also means issues with the Taco falling apart You have to try their agave pulled pork which was by far my favorite. Now the birria tacos - even though they came with a broth, they had cheese and the tortilla was crispy, it taste it nothing like a birria taco. So should I read it as a Birria taco or as a regular taco? As a regular taco it was very good really nice flavor and the crispiness of the Tortilla made it hold up together much better, So I'll give it a 3.8. but as a Birria taco it lacked all the spices to get the right flavor and aesthetics of what it should look like so I would give it a 2.5 For the price in the quality though I will definitely come back read more

OMG! I heard of this place from a friend for the longest time. I had no idea how amazing the tacos were. I called my friend right after about it! It's so hard to find Birria Tacos in the area and this was a great find. The shrimp tacos are amazing as well. The service was great. I ordered online through GrubHub and the meal was incorrect when delivered. I ordered 1 bean papusa and 1 jalapeño papusa but got two bean. 5/5 Mexican/Latino and El Salvadorian food! Great quantity, price and flavors. We ordered a chicken quesadilla ($9.50) shrimp tacos (3 for $9.50) chorizo papusa ($2) and platanos ($2). A ton of food for only $24! Street parking available and no outdoor seating so we walked down to the YMCA and sat on the benches in the front. The restaurant does have seating indoors but to keep things safe. We've tried other taco spots around town and this one hits it perfectly with great price, flavors and quantity. The people are friendly, the place is cute, and the food is decent. I can tell the taste of the food is authentic since is varies so much by what I'm typically used to. However, authentic doesn't always mean best tasting. Their meats are tender and prepared well and the sour cream they add is delicious. However, when getting a quesadilla, as well as a burrito on another visit, the end product doesn't jive as well as I wanted it to be. Each ingredient alone is good but I feel it belongs better in other dishes. For example, their yellow rice I can see pairing with seafood better than a quesadilla or a burrito. Does not mean that it's bad whatsoever, it just has a different setting and context for me in which I'd eat it. None of the ingredients are bad they make a tasty concoction but for me, there is that one step above in regards to the cohesiveness to make the flavor and togetherness of ingredients to be in perfect harmony. read more

Just tried this place for the first time recently, we loved it! We got the fish tacos, which came with beans and rice and pickled vegetables. The fish itself was really tasty, I wish it came with more sauce on the fish though. We also ordered the chorizo and queso papusas, soooooo yummy and freshly made. The food came out pretty quickly, we ordered take out and everything was freshly made and delicious. There are shelves on the side where you can buy other items. Teresa's Market saved us from the workday hangries and were surprisingly filling. The quality and quantity of the meat in the carnitas tacos had my husband full after two (with the additions empanada, see below). Same for me with the fish tacos. We 80/20 split an empanada, it wasn't my thing. (I had one three years ago at a NYC street festival that has stolen my heart forever). Husband liked it though and happily polished my half off my remainders. We ALWAYS get chips, salsa, and guacamole. Since I was stuffed from the tacos. I saved it for dinner. And that was my dinner! Super tasty, fresh, chunks of perfectly ripe avocado and seasoned well! Definitely recommend them for delivery during this crap pandemic! Many locals might try and defend, but we all know Boston Metro can't compare to CA in terms of the Mexican food scene. Well, I have discovered Teresa's Market, and even wear the tshirt they gave me with lots of pride. The kids' go-to are the pork belly tacos or burrito, both with crispy pork and that pork fat taste, don't you dare pinch a little hole on the bottom of that burrito to let the fat drip out, you eat it all! I've ordered their dinner plates and it's legit. The owner and his brother are genuine, tell you that is hard to prepare, and that they don't serve ground beef because it's not Taco Bell here. Surroundings are simple, a few chairs and tables and some items on the shelves if you want to buy. Some meat in the fridges for you to buy as well, but I just tell the guy to make me some pork belly tacos! read more

The gauc was fine, the rice was not fresh, the salsa was not memorable, the steak was cheap and chewy. Teresa Market is located by Oak Square on Washington Street. It is a small market/convenience store stocked with fresh vegetables, shelf stable items, and chilled drinks. It also has a counter where Mexican and Guatemalan dishes are made to order. For eating in, there are 3 tables and 4 counter seats in the back where you may sit as you watch a Spanish show up on their flat screen tv. I was here to grab an early dinner before heading over to my next stop, but I wasn't exactly hungry yet. Their menu board had tacos, but they seemed to come 3 to an order. I also like variety. And the veggies that were grilled for the customer preceding me looked quite colorful. After some discussion with the fellow behind the counter, who turned out to be the owner of this establishment, I ended up with a meal of off menu selections: a single pork belly taco $2.50, a half portion of plantains $1.65, and a side of grilled vegetables $2.50. I got my fat splurge, my sweet, and my healthy, all in one. And he got a happy customer! The taco was well filled and satisfying. Though I opted for the mild salsa, there was still a kick that was tamed by the accompanying cabbage and tortilla. The veggies were vibrant (though the broccoli florets not the best color) and retained a nice crispness. The plantains sweet and fat, though the firm sort rather than the softer more caramelized type that I personally prefer. They also had a soup available, though it was not mentioned anywhere on the menu posted at the market. So it might be worth asking about it if that's what you are interested in. read more

I was visiting family in the area and had a craving for real tacos. Theresas is intresting. It has some market goods but one side of the store is occupied by food counter and deli. I got three tacos, all different. They were prepared well and both the meats and toppings were excellent. I topped it off with an Oranja soda and chowed down very happily in my car. Overall a good experience here. They're probably my go-to for taco food delivery in my area (Watertown) as my preferred taco places in the area don't deliver (Taqueria El Amigo and Taqueria Mexico--both in Waltham). The food here tastes more authentic to Los Amigos in Brighton Center and you definitely get that vibe when you step into Teresa's Market. Definitely recommend. Food: The chips here are insanely good. To the point where I'll usually order two bags and eat one myself and the other (for the wife) we'll usually split =P. The tacos have been good so far. The agave pulled pork was very yummy, the fish tacos were just meh and the carnitas were solid. There are unfortunately better options for the last two, including Los Amigos having better fish tacos. The tacquitos were very meh as well, which is a shame. Definitely go to Taqueria El Amigo for these. Drinks: They offer several varieties of Jarritos, which is always a taco food staple. My personal favorite is the Pina, but to each their own. Service is usually pretty good. Sure it looks like you're ordering from a convenience store, but when you get it for delivery, it comes in fast, usually less than 30 min for food prep and delivery! Can't go wrong with that!
