My burritos are always delicious and have generous portion sizes - I'm usually full even if I order the smaller, 10" burrito. Perhaps just because Los Amigos is "Tex Mex" rather than Mexican, I don't love the flavoring of their ingredients. That being said, I got fish tacos (2) for about $9 that probably had 1/3 pound of tilapia in each. The ingredients were all fresh, and may I just say I have never found more fish in a fish taco? Great deal. There used to be a place in Coolidge Corner called Baja Betty's that had depthy flavoring on their protein. If Los Amigos could replicate the flavor on their spicy chicken and other meats, put them on theirs, and improve the flavor palette, I would be coming to Los Amigos more often. Ordered a burrito with veggies for takeout, it was pretty good! Everything was seasoned very well. I would have preferred that the vegetables were chopped smaller, they were a bit hard to eat. Also, one of the burritos which was labeled with black sharpie did get some black ink leaked onto it. Not the restaurant's fault but kind of unpleasant. I hardly write reviews, especially bad ones because I know how many people rely on Yelp reviews to choose a good place to eat. However, I had to make this post. There are so many inconsistencies with this establishment. I have no problems with food that's ordered for dine-in, but whenever I order through food delivery, they manage to mess up my order EVERY time. The order is almost never exactly as I ordered, sometimes one topping is missing; this is okay and I'll tolerate it. But recently, I ordered two custom burrito bowls - only to be sent one burrito bowl with barely any beans, and a burrito (a completely different order with different ingredients). I ended up getting a refund via the delivery app but it's just a shame that I won't be ordering delivery from los amigos again. I hope they can work on their lack of attention to detail. read more

Recently ordered from them on Uber eats and it was amazing! I ordered a make your own bowl with carnitas. Highly recommend adding their chipotle aioli/mayo and pineapple salsa... they were delicious! I also got a side of chips and guac and appreciated that they gave you a lot of guac (still only enough for one person). I will say my friends had a few complaints in that they thought the burritos were small so would recommend going with the larger size. Surf and Turf Burrito: $10, really good combo of steak and fish. Filling is delicious, and I love the smoky chipotle crema. My friend recommended this one to me and said it was his favorite. Tacos (steak, carnitas, al pastor): Carnitas was my favorite. They were really well-seasoned and delicious. The other two flavors were good, too. Comes with a lot of good toppings. The server didn't warn me that guac costs extra, so ended up having to pay a lot more for that... it's $1.25 per taco, which is very not worth it. Here's the thing, I really really want to give Los Amigos a higher rating, but I just can't. Mainly because of the things other reviewers have commented on and also because of my most recent visit. I placed an order for pick up right before the snow came, and I'll give this to them, they are SUPER fast. They gave me a pick-up time of 10 minutes and when my boyfriend came to pick up the food it was ready. If you want FAST food, this is the place to go. Especially in Brighton Center where it can often take awhile to get food at any local establishment. When he gave me the food I noticed it was really heavy, the scale said two pounds which is a lot of food for $10, and I soon realized why. We had ordered salads, but ended up with rice bowls. When I got halfway through and realized I only had a few pieces of lettuce I was pretty upset. Yes, the food was very filling, but I had ordered a salad, so did my boyfriend, but we each got little to no lettuce in our bowls. I also paid up for plantains. Which I got four of and was very happy about, but as another review mentioned they were burnt. I love a perfectly cooked plantain, and sometimes I get them, but this order was all charred black ones. The flavor is delicious here, and the food is clearly fresh, but this "salad" was such a joke that I ended up tossing it. If you want a lot of food this is your place, and if I had wanted a burrito bowl this would have been great. Note to staff, salads should have lettuce and also should come with salad dressing as promised. Real disappointed. read more

Delicious food in a fast-casual environment. I have been to Los Amigos many times, and I have never been disappointed. A personal favorite of mine is the pescado (burrito with tilapia). The staff are friendly and efficient. There's a spacious seating area if you choose to dine inside. And the prices are very reasonable. If you're looking for some quick, delicious food, Los Amigos is the way to go. I haven't yet tried the corn with crema, but that's on my to-do list. I don't recommend this place. The food is decent but the service is poor. The staff here makes you feel extremely unwelcome while in the taqueria. I was the only person in line for at least 10 minutes before any of the workers looked up or said anything. They made many orders in front of us before saying a word. On top of that they began to mumble things to each other and were directly laughing at us under their breathe.They finally prepared our food a few minutes later as if it was a burden. Absolutely f***ing TERRIBLE service. We have been waiting for over an hour for one simple order. And we are not the only ones. There are nearly 50+ others in here doing the same. When orders are complete, they are thrown onto a table with 0 organization and the crowd of people must fight amongst one another to push through and try to see whose food it is. The nasty employees who work there are standing around, laughing, and not answering customers questions -- even when as simple as "what was the name of the last order?" There is a lack of cleanliness and an insane amount of cross contamination that is so easily identifiable just by standing from afar and watching them prepare the food. If they cannot handle the amount of service they are getting, they need to turn off their delivery app machines and put a hold on taking orders until they can catch up. Instead, they are piling all the order tickets up and laughing at how many they have while waving them in the air. No one in here is happy with the service. And, during a time like this -- amidst the COVID-19 pandemic -- there is no reason in hell as to why they have 50+ people crowded in a tiny place packed on one another fighting for answers. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE all around, but especially with customer service. There are far better options in Boston to give your service. I'm sure they'll be more appreciative too. read more

I have never been to this location however I order from there at least twice a month without fail. The coconut shrimp burrito is out of this world. Literally one of the best burritos I have ever had. I get sick of the typical burritos and ingredients so it's nice to have a restaurant that switches it up. The 12 inch burrito is only $10 and is totally worth it. They pack it with ingredients so you know you will get your moneys worth. I personally add chipotle crema and cabbage slaw to my coconut shrimp burrito which makes for the perfect combination. Honestly, just not great. I've been here twice and both times thought the food was pretty bland and the service wasn't welcoming. The first time I wasn't super hungry but was meeting a friend, so I tried the elote which was far from any Mexican street corn I'd had before. Very Americanized, very bland.
