We called NV Drivers Ed with to see about getting a lesson from someone outside of our family. They were able to fit us in on short notice and Brian took our son himself for the lesson. He was amazing! He took him to the area where he was testing the next week and explained things the instructors look for and pointed out a few tricky areas, including construction zones, school zone, a street where the speed limit changes, and a few other things. In addition, we noticed our son drove differently after that one lesson!!! He was more observant of right-of-way, tricky 4-way stops, and some extra things that we didn't even know about!!! Our son went in the next week and passed the test on his first try without any deductions!!! THANK YOU Brian, and everyone at NV Drivers Ed for all you do!!! We're definitely registering our daughter as soon as she gets her permit!!!

He still owes us 2 lessons! I have been trying to reach him since February. Still no response. And unfortunately, there isn't anyone else in this driving school that we can contact. From Day 1, John made me feel safe, supported, and capable. His direct and repetitive guidance helped me internalize everything so I could improve quickly and build real confidence behind the wheel. He walked me through all kinds of driving scenarios to help me overcome my anxiety. His calm, patient, and straightforward teaching style made a huge difference. The day before my road test, he ran the full route with me multiple times and practiced the tight Henderson parking until I felt completely ready. I passed my road test with flying colors--100% score, which I was told is rare. I highly recommend John!

He came home and was sick bad I was considering signing up for the next class, but I cannot justify standing outside for hours doing pre-trip training in extreme heat with only a few breaks. If a student suffers heat exhaustion or heat stroke, then what? The school should consider adjusting the schedule, doing half days, or finding safer ways to train during dangerous heat conditions. Having students outside all day in this weather is unacceptable Again, I've heard the school itself is decent, but student safety needs to come first. These students are paying around $6,500 for training, and they deserve to be taken care of otherwise that's negligence PLEASE Consider the health & safety of every student, especially those who may not handle extreme heat well.

Where should I go is the question, right? Well, after some research my path fell upon OTR Drive…read moreSchool. The Director, "Clif the Closer", greeted me with a warm smile as soon as I walked up to the school, and a southern style of hospitality even though he's not a Southerner. Clif then sealed the deal with providing insight about their curriculum and how their school follows protocol, etc., which was important to me. Especially after later hearing what's going on with schools, etc., and CDL driver's licenses in various states. Then for the classroom instruction there was "New York Russ"! Russ is bold, a New-Yorker, and helps you find what you're made of. His voice carries, but his compassion for his students carries much louder. You quickly learn the first day that he is one that cares and truly wants you to succeed. And the class was fun! On to the driving range was "Not much of a talker - Walker"! Mr. Walker speaks in a low tone but tells you everything you need to know. He is patient and will advocate for getting you additional help if needed. I'm sure I added a few gray hairs to his crown, but he never gave up on me. Thanks so much Mr. Walker! Then there was the other driver trainer, "Mellow Matt"! Matt filled in my last week for Mr. Walker during his medical leave. Matt has tons of patience, is always positive, uplifting, and helped me get to the finish line. I didn't have much interaction with the driving range manager, Kyle, but he would also come out to give us some good tips and was also passionate about making sure we all succeeded. They ALL are ALWAYS looking for different ways to help you succeed which makes me teary-eyed. Like, they really are watching you and trying to see what they can do different the next day, if it didn't work yesterday, to make it all click. I will never forget the ENTIRE OTR Drive School team, and the new journey they helped to propel for my life. Many, many thanks and blessings to you all!!! Thanks as well to the owner, Christina, for your vision of providing a school of ALL-STARS to help keep the country moving!!! Rose

He was very patient and easy to talk to and always showed up to my house early or on time. Starting out, if you just follow EVERYTHING he tells you to do, then things will start to make sense and driving becomes sort of second nature. I love their car because it's fun, comfortable, and easy to use. My 2 problems with them is after 10 hours of driving lessons, I still didn't know how to park and be a safe driver. After them, I can drive but not well. And last thing, my instructor always interfered with my steering wheel. I totally appreciate it starting off because I sucked but by the last few lessons, I felt like I got the hang of it and just needed practice but I didn't learn when he was always taking over the wheel. Overall my experience was good and I do recommend them for any type of driver including first time drivers. But if you're a first time driver, don't expect to be great by the end of it. Overall, they're good. if I could, I'd give them 3.5 stars.
