However, on this occaision I opted to use Boots the optician for my glasses, as there was a very good special offer on Boots-branded specs. The staff at Boots in High Street are fantastic. Their customer service was of such a high standard, I told them so this is not something I think many of us do at the time! First of all, this opticians has many, many members of staff on busy days, meaning you'll never need to wait long to be seen. During my visits I spoke to about three different members of the team, and they were all exceptional in their general approach, good humour and demeanour, and explanation of procedures. The standard of service was as good if not better than I have experienced at local family-run opticians. Their optical knowledge was explained well in layman's terms, and prices and options fully explained.

Went for two eye tests: one for glasses, one for contact lenses…read more Both eye tests were very good, clinicians were professional and friendly However, the scheduling staff and sales staff were hurried and seemed distracted. There weren't enough seats to accommodate customers who were waiting...I had to stand When I told them I was mainly interested in contact lenses, not glasses...they fobbed me off and continued in their pursuit of selling me glasses instead. A terrible customer experience because my needs were ignored. Don't waste your time if you want contact lenses.

I walked in and the first thing he said to me, I need the money of your glasses that you own me. I didn't have the glasses with me they were still at the option he actually demand me the money and was very rude.I will not recommend this to anyone as they are very rude and expensive in there. I strongly feel too that the staff there are scared of the manager there for I did want to complain but one of the girls that work there said to me clearly nothing is going to be done about this as this is a family run business. I was very upset about this and I had no attention not to pay I knew I had to pay but this is not the way he should have come across to me. It wasn't the right way to deal with customer services.
