I received a text that my windows had been ordered and called office to schedule installation. Was informed that I was unable to schedule until windows arrived, which is different then what I was informed by D.J. Once scheduled the time was scheduled for 9am. At 10am I had not received any text or calls about a delay. I tried calling the office but they were closed and there was no one to confirm if installation was still scheduled. Just before 11am the installers arrived with there fountain drinks and sandwiches from the local gas station in hand. When I told him that this needed to be completed by a certain time the lead informed me that was not possible since they were just arriving. He had no explanation for being almost 2 hours late and only brought 2 helpers to install 12 windows by the afternoon! The installers were slow and the installation did not complete until 6:30pm on a Saturday evening. I was informed at that time that my inspection has been scheduled and that I was to be home all day because an arrival time could not be provided. There was no communication scheduling the inspection which was scheduled on the same day my son was to have his braces removed, an appointment that had been scheduled for 2 months. Inspection did not pass because the installers did not mark a tempered window as such so I had to be home another afternoon for a Window World employee to come back to do so. I then had to have another inspection scheduled with no arrival time, delaying another day of scheduled activities. Window World is extremely unprofessional and has for a lack of a better word, lazy employees. There is a lack of professional management, and I will not be using in the future for the remaining windows in our home.

Today marks the second time I've used Mr. Handyman for a job that would otherwise require a general…read morecontractor. Just before a recent hurricane, I noticed that there was some leaking around some windows that turned out to be related to wood rot. Additionally, I've been struggling with rot issues around a pool closet that wasn't all that well designed. I filed a request with Mr. Handyman and Chad (the owner) promptly responded. Once again, I found Chad and the whole team at Mr. Handyman to be fantastic. He listened carefully to the concern, evaluated the issues and came up with the most cost-effective solutions. He made sure he set expectations in advance of scheduling the work and carefully chose his people that had the right skill set to do the job perfectly. Speaking of the right skillset -- Steven, the lead technician on the job, was just phenomenal to work with. Have you ever met someone who just really knows their stuff and makes you feel at ease? That's Steven in a nutshell. He's worked in all aspects of construction and it shows in his confidence and the quality of his work. He kept me in the loop throughout the entire job and made sure I was completely satisfied. Additionally, I had relayed some struggles I was having caring for my elderly father, and he was a sympathetic ear - offering some advice and ultimately assuring me that he had my back on the house repairs so that I could focus on helping my Dad.
