He will tell you that he does, but in my experience, he is not an experienced handyman. Tom will underestimate a job, agree to a price, and then change the price once he realizes the job is more difficult or time-consuming than he expected. I hired Tom to install a gazebo that several other experienced technicians told me would take about a day. It took Tom three days. We agreed on a set price a month before the job, but once he realized he was over his head and needed to hire an additional handyman, he put that extra cost on me. I paid the additional amount for his handyman even though I felt I shouldn't have had to, because the additional expense resulted from his lack of understanding of the job. He also tried to charge me more because the gazebo took him longer than expected, despite telling me that he was having issues understanding the instructions. The additional time and difficulty were not my fault. Tom is also very slow, and a simple project may take two to three times longer because of his inexperience. On top of that, he initially was not going to clean up the mess he left at my house after I told him I would not pay extra for the additional time. Thankfully, he eventually cleaned it up with my help. Tom will give you one price and, if he runs into difficulties due to his inexperience, ask for more money and change the original quote. DO NOT HIRE HIM, and do not rely on his quoted price or claimed experience. Trust me, you will regret it.

I asked him if he had a business card as I was from New Jersey and had just bought a house in Clermont Florida and may need some work done. The gentleman turned out to be Juan Velez. I needed blinds installed (13) and I had just set up a date with Lowe's to have someone come and measure for installation. Unfortunately the contractor from Lowe's soonest appointment was in a week and a half they would measure and then set up a date later for the installation. I was pressed for time and needed to return to New Jersey in a few days. When I found out the Lowe's contractor could not come earlier I contacted Juan the day after I met him. I told Juan what I needed and he set up an appointment to come measure the windows the next day as he was working in the area. Long story short, Handyman complete services measured and installed all the blinds a couple of days before the other contractor could come out to just measure the windows. Handyman needed some other materials and charged them to their account and provided me with a receipt. I was blown away by the professionalism and quality of work done in a very short period of time and would not hesitate to recommend them. I have Juan's number in my phone and will use them for any future projects or services I need.

The payment is done. It is pretty painful to pay for VERY subpar work. Rating for everything- timeline and quality of work stays the same. Only reason he actually finished the work was because he saw the one star review. Attached is a screenshot of the text messages, he hadn't even scheduled to do the work nor responded to me until after seeing the review.
