I felt intimidated by the process, but she made it fun and encouraging, celebrating every small win with cheers, applause, and high fives. Ms. Gabby has such a special connection with her students. When my oldest first started and had a hard time separating, she showed so much patience and care. During nap time, when he struggled to settle, she would gently hold his hand and offer a small stuffed toy from her lanyard to comfort him. Ms. Gabby is also currently the teacher in the Butterfly classroom, where my youngest is enrolled, and her presence has made the transition significantly easier for him. A special thank you to Ms. Darien, who has made a truly meaningful impact on our family, especially in helping my oldest through the potty-training process. What felt so overwhelming at home became much more manageable with her guidance, helpful tips, and consistent encouragement. She approaches everything with kindness and understanding, and her support has helped build my child's confidence during such an important milestone. Ms. Darien also brings so much joy to the children with her playful personality and fun jokes, creating an environment where they feel comfortable, happy, and confident. Mr. Gregg, who teaches the students in the oldest class, brings such a calm and steady presence. He also makes the best paper airplanes! She learned so much within a blink of an eye, by the time she was going to Kindergarten she was set and ready to go. My kids no longer attend this site, but I have nothing but positive things to say about the staff. I highly suggest this site for any parent. I am the type of parent that is extremely paranoid, and thinks way outside the box. Especially because my children are my everything, and as a parent it is only normal to be protective and aware. Throughout the time I would always call and check in with my kids the teachers would give me an immediate run down on what they are doing and comfort me. Stemtree in Diamond Bar is so different and stands out by doing just that. My kids go to Stemtree afterschool and they do homework, enrichment such as math and English, then Stem hands on activities such as science, making light up lantern (physic), make crystals (chemistry), slime, 3d printing, build legos that move, code (robotics) and more. The stem portion is very structured and organized with different activities planned out each week. Kids will move between different modules. My kids don't particularly have strong interest in stem initially but I choose Stemtree for exposure to science and hands on activity to build creativity. Also they try to prepare kids for future and just started testing reading comprehension with Star test for their AR level monthly. My school does Star AR test quarterly, but it's nice to have it monthly here to see the progress, help them see results and also improve on test taking skills. During the last school holiday (no school) they have a Columbus theme day where kids builds boats and have a competition of see who's boat floats the best in water and kids got prizes. They also have many othe events.

Everything else felt like a waste of my time. I came to summer boot camps to make friends, some of whom I still keep in touch with. Looking back, all of that went a long way. Sure, some might argue it's not worth the money but it really depends on how the student takes advantage of all the resources. I certainly didn't take advantage of all of them but all the instructors are specialized in specific subjects and are quite knowledgeable. Some of these instructors already have full time jobs yet they take their time during or outside of Elite classes to help students. If you can study independently, props to you but most high school students can't. I couldn't. And in this way, Elite was very helpful, using both former and original test questions to evaluate how you'd score on a real test. I enjoyed all my teachers (few whom I still keep in touch with) and the staff, yes they were mean. They were too direct and condescending. However in retrospect, considering how annoying I must've been, imagine that multiplied with hundreds more. Elite wants their students to take practice tests as if it's the real setting. You can't talk, text, or cheat and you shouldn't fall asleep. I attended Elite about 10 years ago. I wasn't close to a 2400 nor did I get into an Ivy League. But considering what I've achieved since then, I can't thank them enough for prepping me for that very first step to 'adulthood': college.
