THIS IS AN EMAIL I SENT DIRECTLY TO THE OWNER TO GIVE HER THE RESPECT TO RESPOND TO ME AND I'VE…read moreHEARD NOTHING FROM THEM. Befor you leave your dog here make sure you're ok that they spend all day in a kennel full of barking dogs After speaking with you the other day I was excited to see your Kennel facility and as I was driving up your driveway yesterday I was even more excited as it seemed like a great place for the dogs. The two girls at the counter were very nice and one of them gave me the tour. The dogs were all in their kennels barking like crazy. Some were jumping and able to see the next kenneled dogs and they were viciously barking at each other. I couldn't understand why the dogs were not able to be outside on a mild day like yesterday. There were dogs that were clearly scared, and this really touched my heart. The fact that the kennels do not have high separation between the dogs makes it very unruly. You have two employees that are at the desk talking to each other and not interacting with the dogs. As I was given the tour I was told the dogs went out 4 times a day for about 20 min for pee breaks. What about play time and nurture time? It looked worse than the shelters. These two employees should be outside with the dogs (in intervals) most of the time ,except for probably an afternoon siesta and then at 7pm for nighttime. I advised the young lady that I could not bring my dogs here. You have an amazing place , and could do so much for these dogs. If you were able to upgrade your facility, you would be able to charge more and people would feel comfortable leaving thier dogs at Kondo Kennel. Maybe also have employees that enjoy being with dogs. The other girl there rolled her eyes at me and told me it was very loud back there. Practically every kennel was full, and every dog there was in thier kennel. They do not have enough stimulation to go in their kennel and sleep. From 10a to 2pm that's a long time for these dogs to be in a kennel. Do the owners of these dogs know this?? I wanted to email you first instead of yelping. This has really touched me.

It's also great that we can check up on our dogs through the kennel's Facebook page. I trust these people with our animals and feel like our girls love coming here.

I took my cat in to get neutered. Within 2 weeks he was dead. A few days after castration, he was…read moreobviously in pain, wouldn't eat or drink. His bum area was seeping, but I was not sure what it was as the smell was rather horrific. He would not or could not pee or poop in his litter box for 12+ hours before I could get him into see another doctor. I had no peace in taking him back to Eastside. I ended up taking him to a different vet. The other vet thought it was Bob Cat Fever initially. I was sent home with antibiotics, pain meds, and liquid food. I followed their directions explicitly. During this time, I noticed an open wound and it was leaking out junk and smelled horrible. I spent several days tending to him and over the course of those days this hole expanded quickly. I brought him back in to this second team of doctors where they determined that it was not Bob Cat Fever. The wound would have required extensive surgery and result in immobility for many weeks. There was no guarantee of any quality of life. The underlying cause was unknown but this doctor could not rule out recent surgery (since it was so close to the incision). Also, Derryberry claimed to have given my cat a comprehensive exam and charged me for doing so. Yet the 2nd veterinarian found a heart murmur. This would have been something Derryberry should have noticed, therefore I don't believe she examined my little guy as she said she did. I have no confidence of her work and would never recommend her to anyone. Since then, 2 people have asked me who I recommend for a vet. I told them anyone but Eastside Animal Hospital.

Her own dog Sonny was having behavioral issues and she sought training. Having a few years experience fresh in learning did not a dog behavior expert make. There has been an incident at her facility that she is not disclosing to the public. It involved a serious injury to a day care dog. This woman is not an expert. She's not a behaviorist. She has zero a credited credentials. She doesn't even know dog CPR. Which let dogs run with a bunch of other dogs on hot days. Absolutely would not recommend. We took his bowls, food, bed, and a play toy. When we got there the owner was no where to be found I had to call. He finally showed up. The place stunk. I should have taken him back home then, but made a terrible choice to go ahead and letting him stay. They lost all of his stuff other then the bed and food. I had to throw away his bed because it was so nasty. Our dog was so stressed when we got him. His tail has stayed between his legs. He dropped weight. He continued with the diarea then started vomiting so I take him to the vet today (may 4,18). They said he was extremly stressed. He had a nasty virus and had picked up hook worms. He's on monthly wormer and flea and tick meds. I carry our dog to the vet for check ups regular. So we had already checked him to make sure everything was good. They said for him to come back that quick this sick he was out walking around in nasty feces. And eatting nasty food. My vet told me I need to call them and tell them. So I did. The guy didn't say anything other then they check the dogs feces to make sure they don't have anything. I'm worried about the other dogs health. This is not a clean and healthy place. I hope no one else has to pay the vet bill I just did to make sure their dog is going to be ok.
