I was looking for somewhere beautiful to get a panorama of Chattanooga (+ more) from an awesome vantage point, and I found this spot on Google. It's a bit of a winding drive to eventually arrive to the site, and when you do, parking is extremely limited. It's either you got luck or God on your side, to park right where the "rock" is, but I was very fortunate. The steps are very large and irregular getting to the actual "site", and if you are not fit --- just go slow. However, once you arrive --- it's like heaven. A view from the heavens overseeing the Tennessee River Gorge, Prentice Cooper State Forest, and valleys. Spending 20-30 minutes after getting up their will clear your mind. A view that you should not pass up!

Very steep steps but has some beautiful views! Not a far walk if you're looking for a quick hike.read more

We had the first party of the day which was great, as the gym wasn't super crowded. The party room was a good size with huge windows that overlooked the kids side of the climbing gym. It easily accommodated 12ish kids, parents and family. It included a full size fridge/freezer, ice machine, and kitchenette. Cutlery and paper products were included. I would definitely recommend bringing table cloths. We bought some and then forgot, whoops. Our party host was Dawson, and he was a phenomenal guy. Super helpful, extremely patient with a herd of rabid cats- I mean, kids- and was just a genuinely nice guy. The kids gym was nice, a bit smaller than I was expecting. We've been to similar gyms elsewhere (see reviews) and this one left a bit to be desired. I wish it was bigger with more walls. Even still, there wasn't a long wait with the exception of the city skyline part. The kids also enjoyed going to the "bigger" room, which is standard indoor climbing walls, that are double the height and not themed. After orientation, the kids ended up with about an hour and a half of climbing and a half hour in the party room for food and cake. This worked out great though the kids were bummed when they couldn't go back after the party to climb. The gym definitely gained a bunch of new customers after this party, many of the parents were thrilled to find this place. The price for the party was really great too. For those who are interested, they do also have a bouldering section (age 14+ only) auto belay and standard belay walls, climbing clubs (kids and adults), meeting rooms and other classes (yoga, etc). All in all, I definitely recommend High Point Climbing. If you do a party here, definitely put a time 15 minutes prior to the actual start on the invites so that kids can get geared up and oriented asap so they can maximize climbing time.

When we came the first day we were helped by Dima and Dani who helped me to get in touch with the owner to set up a private session for my son to complete his requirements left for a merit badge he had partially completed. After emailing the owner he replied promptly and helped me set up a date where his staff would be ready and be able to set up for the climbing merit badge course. On the day of the lesson we were greeted by Connor who was very kind and helpful and ended up being the one who was the teacher for my son. He was very thorough and easy to learn from. My second son wanted to tag along with us and was able to explore the facilities and learn about the fun and excitement of rock climbing at Adrenaline Climbing! I definitely plan on returning on another day to help my sons further their enjoyment of climbing. In any case this review is for a job well done by the staff of Adrenaline Climbing and a glowing recommendation for a seamless and fun experience. I rate Adrenaline Climbing 5 stars and give two thumbs up. Thank you to the staff and have a positive day.

They also have a deal where the day passes are only $5 between 8-10pm on tuesdays and thursdays. Although this gym isn't as big or fancy as other commercial gyms, it still has a variety of bouldering and rope climbing routes. And the levels of the routes are pretty difficult compared to other places I've been to so I have been thoroughly challenged every time I step my foot in there. I personally liked that there were a lot of auto belay routes because it lets me go rope climbing without needing a partner! Something I wish the gym had is a spray wall area to warm up and do drills on. But I get that the place is small and probably can't dedicate an entire wall for just warm up. Also, the floor here is kind of hard. It is indeed padded so it's totally safe but i took me a few sessions to get used to because it was harder than the mats at other gyms.

Climb west Nashville is a massive step up in layout space and design. And Murfreesboro location is by far the best Stairs located in the middle "hangout area" very overcrowded, mats only 6 or so feet from the walls, which puts everyone watching on the edges of the mats and center of the gym with no room to walk anywhere. Holds are the worst I've experienced in gym climbing, many of the holds are loose, and it seems like there are way too many routes set to perhaps make up for the fact that there isn't a lot of wall to work with, but the route setters must be high, arrows pointing in wrong directions with no clear start holds identified on most v2-v5 routes. Lastly the largest section of the climbing area is the cave, which nobody seems to use or at least is under utilized, just go to Murfreesboro or West. Seems like they need a max capacity or a website to book times on to free up some space, also they need to have some route setters from a different location to come to the rescue. Overall super friendly climbers and staff!
