Please do not use Diane for your alterations! I took a formal dress to her for a simple hi-low hem…read more(that she claimed she had done hundreds of) and when I went to pick it up, she had butchered the dress beyond repair. Instead of a gradual drop from the center of the front of the dress, it looked as if a shark had taken a bite out of the front of the dress. Not only was it not even a centered cut but the layers didn't match and the stitching looked like a drunk person had sewn it. Another seamstress was unable to make it wearable without cutting it off to a short dress - not workable for a wedding where I needed to wear a long dress. I did go back to her to explain my frustration but she not only denied the work was hers, but claimed she was sick of people and should just quit. She also said she had no money to pay me for my loss. Don't take the chance with her. You will be disappointed.

The top layer of the dress was hemmed an inch shorter than the layer underneath in the front. Hoping to save people from going through the panic and stress that I have gone through this week.

I went in to Seymour's on Thursday around noon and explained the situation. I was told they could have it ready for me the next day by noon. The staff was friendly and accommodating and when my boyfriend went to pick it up the next day, it was ready as promised. I asked him what it had cost and he told me he did not remember... So, unfortunately I do not have information on what their prices are. It was a rush job so it may have been slightly more than usual, but I figure it could not have been outrageously expensive or he would have remembered that detail! The dry cleaning they do is on site, they offered the option of starching the shirt and there was convenient 15 minute street parking (non-metered) right out front. I will definitely use them again in the future.

Finally by November it was clean but not boxed. December still not boxed, but Andy promised to have it boxed and shipped to her in CA. January, no box, no shipment. February still not boxed or shipped. When I spoke with Andy, he told me it was only a perceived urgency on my part. It's not like she's going to wear it soon. Seriously? Sad to see such a change in a business. Time to find a new dry cleaner.
