So very disappointed. I've been a customer for nearly 40 years and was shocked and amazed at the attitude of the owner Andy. We took my daughter in law's wedding dress in to be cleaned in June 2019. When I went to pick it up in Sept. it still hadn't been cleaned. Ditto October. Finally by November it was clean but not boxed. December still not boxed, but Andy promised to have it boxed and shipped to her in CA. January, no box, no shipment. February still not boxed or shipped. When I spoke with Andy, he told me it was only a perceived urgency on my part. It's not like she's going to wear it soon. Seriously? Sad to see such a change in a business. Time to find a new dry cleaner. read more

Much too expensive considering the length of time they take and the quality of service. They continually destroyed buttons on my shirts, would charge me to replace them, and then either use a mismatched button or just fail to replace it entirely. Take your business elsewhere read more

Forgot to drop my boyfriend's suit off at the dry cleaners... he needed it for a wedding we were leaving for on a Friday. I went in to Seymour's on Thursday around noon and explained the situation. I was told they could have it ready for me the next day by noon. The staff was friendly and accommodating and when my boyfriend went to pick it up the next day, it was ready as promised. I asked him what it had cost and he told me he did not remember... So, unfortunately I do not have information on what their prices are. It was a rush job so it may have been slightly more than usual, but I figure it could not have been outrageously expensive or he would have remembered that detail! The dry cleaning they do is on site, they offered the option of starching the shirt and there was convenient 15 minute street parking (non-metered) right out front. I will definitely use them again in the future. read more

Friendly staff and amazing shoe repair services! Made my 5 year old heeled boots look like new

I had used this cleaners in the past with generally good results. However, this business has reached a new low. I paid $160 for 17 pieces to be dry cleaned. I received a $300 silk shirt returned to me with color virtually removed in two areas, a skirt with the lining shredded, and the least of the issues, a distinct button missing from an expensive jacket. When, I called asking if they might have the button I was told to hold. Holding because they were looking for the button or transferring me to someone else? After being on hold for quite a while I called back. I then sent two pictures of the damaged shirt and skirt. The all knowing Mr. Berger said that from the pictures he could determine that it was most likely the fabric that damaged these two pieces. Then he proceeded to pontificate about his vast experience in the world of drycleaning. He told me to bring the pieces in. I explained that I couldn't as we are in the process of moving. I also explained that I wasn't seeking any reimbursement but would have appreciated getting my clothes back without any problems (referring to previous damaged clothing). Mr. Berger's response was 'Life just isn't like that' and told me that I was younger than he was. Bizarre and inappropriate at best. Ruin my clothes and then I have to listen to your unsolicited words of wisdom. read more

Overpriced, poor quality and absolutely no remorse from owners. They're so incompetent, I saw the receipt from another dry cleaner they farm their business out to while charging me more than double. 10 yrs ago they were the very best in Wilmington and I'd say northern and southeastern PA. I have used Seymours for over 10 years faithfully. The owner is the stain wizard! I have taken a plethora of fabrics with wax, oil, makeup, and shrouded in mystery spots and he has managed to tackle every single one successfully without damaging the fabric. He is truly an expert! My husband prefers his shirts washed and hand pressed and they offer this service in place of dry cleaning, which my husband prefers. Seymours is family owned and they truly take pride in the services they provide! Won't trust my clothing to anyone else! read more

They have ruined several articles of clothing with no sense of remorse for their sub standard service. I had to change dry cleaners because they have broken almost every button on all my dress shirts, again with no sense of remorse. Their expensive and not worth it. If you like your clothes, take them somewhere else. read more

Got my wedding dress cleaned and preserved here. The job itself appears to be done well, but with the poorest customer service I've ever experienced. When dropping my dress off, they weren't very friendly, and wanted all my information very quickly without asking about my preferences for the dress- no big deal, but definitely made me wary. They originally told me a few months (I think 3 or 4) until it would be ready. Took more like 9 months, and they never called to tell me it was done, I had to call a couple times. But who knows when it was actually finished? When the girl on the phone told me it was ready, she said so immediately after looking up my name, which means she probably didn't actually look for the physical dress. This would be fine if they had an organized system, but I don't believe they do because when I went to get it, she couldn't find it! After searching all over the store for it, she finally found it and brought it out to me in a brown box expecting me to pay. The tip of the iceberg for me was when both she and her coworker looked at me like I was crazy when I asked them to take it out of the box so I could look at it before paying. They begrudgingly took it out of the brown box, and just showed me the white box it was preserved in. I wanted them to open up the cover so I could see it through the window before paying, and they just kept talking down to me saying they couldn't take it all the way out. I had to reiterate a few times that I obviously didn't want it taken all the way out, knowing it's preserved- I just wanted to be able to see it was in fact my dress! Crazy experience. read more

I have used Seymour's only a few times. After today's episode, i will not return. I dropped off a a relatively new pair of jeans to have two things done. 1) to be taken in a bit from the knee down and 2) to be hemmed about 1/2 inch shorter. A second pair of slacks needed a hook replaced (only $1). My receipt was a bit unclear, so when I returned today to pick them up, I questioned the total. I was informed that 1) was $20 and 2) was $14. I was very surprised. When I expressed my concern to the employee, I was told that if I didn't like the pricing, I should consider doing the tailoring myself!! I consider that comment to be very uncomplimentary and rude. Take your business someplace else. They obviously don't care about customer satisfaction and having repeat business!! read more

All I day is ask "why can't you get the wrinkles out, the shirt has been dry cleaned before and never had this problem." Seymour Dry Cleaners you have left me speechless...after three attempts to get the wrinkles out of a white cotton dress shirt, not to mention adding more wrinkles on the third try, then telling me it is not your fault, it is the fabric and if I can do it better myself, you would hire me, then walk into the back of your store....seriously, I will take my $150+ a month business to a place that is not rude to its customers. read more
