Sonia is so talented when it comes to alterations. She's the only person we trusted with my daughter's wedding gown, rehearsal dress, and my mother of the bride dress. Stay Away! I purchased a gown for my son's wedding that needed alterations. The shoulder straps needed to be shortened and the hem taken up. After 10 days I picked up the dress and left for wedding venue in South Carolina. On the day of the wedding I put my dress on only to find that no alterations had been done. My husband had to use safety pins to shorten the straps and nothing could be done with the length and the dress kept catching on my heels and needed to be picked up constantly so I could walk without tripping. At the first opportunity after returning home, I visited the tailor and explained that I was charged and paid $97 for alterations that were not done. The mother and daughter argued in their native tongue and then argued with me that the work had been done. I said if that had been the case I would not be standing before them. They accused me of losing weight, then when that didn't work they said I wore different shoes which made the dress too long. The tailors husband, the owner of the shop was put on the phone. The tailor told me two times she would give me my money back. Both times retracting the offer and blaming me. There were no seams ripped and then stitched over. No deviation in thread color. There was even a pin that was left in the hem indicating how high the hem needed to be taken up. Two customers came into the shop while I was there. The first left after a few minutes. The seamstress tried to dismiss me and take the second customer. When I didn't move from the counter the second customer left. Apparently, the business would rather get bad reviews for lousy customer service instead of admitting they took money for work not done. Save your money and unnecessary aggravation. I consider the experience a lesson learned. read more

Sonia did a beautiful job cutting and hemming curtains for my house. I was remodeling all my windows so there were several different sizes. There were 8 sets of different sizes and Sonia made them exactly as requested. I highly recommend her for any sewing need. read more

I would rate higher if I could because Sonia is incredible. I got married 10/9/21 and she did the alterations for my wedding dress. This woman is a magician of her craft. I fluctuate weight in both directions frequently and in little time so dress fittings were not an easy task trying to determine what size I would be by the time of the wedding but she knew exactly what to do. She is the kindest woman who was so complimentary and even put in an extra fabric fail safe incase my weight fluctuated higher than expected because she knew how much I was worried. She did a beautiful job taking apart the flowers from my Mother's veil and turning it into a hairclip for me to wear for when my veil came off. My dress fit perfectly and I felt stunning. On top of it all she did a great job with creating an easy to put up bustle, that distributed the weight so it wouldn't be so heavy to walk around with. I had 4 layers of dress so it was a lot of fabric. Her prices are super reasonable for the beautiful work she does, other places would cost a fortune to adjust the places she did. If you can make it to the Elkton Maryland area she is 1000% worth the trip. You will not be disappointed. read more

I am beyond devastated to find out that they have lost three of my articles of clothing including an expensive irreplaceable dress. What is worse is that they refuse to provide any customer service and comfort me by saying they will check everywhere for it. Instead they are insisting that I took it home with me. They REFUSE to acknowledge that I have no reason to lie to them. I just want my stuff. I have always had a good experience with this company but I am so disgusted with the callous way they are handling this situation. Because of this I feel certain that when they find my clothes they will not give them to me because then they will have to admit they were wrong. They are do adamant that they could have never made a mistake and I know 100% they did. This could just be a quick fix if they would just locate my obviously misplaces clothes but they will not. I'm making a plea to them publically to please find my clothes and call me. I don't even care if you apologize for the terrible way you treated me. I just want my beloved clothes. read more

Sonia did a great job on my very detailed bridesmaids dress. A lot of work had to be done, since the shop I ordered it from order a size too big. But when I got it back, it looked just like it did when I picked it up from the store, but of course fitting like a glove. I will definitely be coming back and would recommend it to anyone. read more
