Hollywood Feed isn't the priciest or the cheapest - but I've never had a rude employee, I've never had someone not help me, I've always been asked if I needed help carrying bags of food out to the car. I have absolutely no complaints about this store. Their prices are inline with anyone else and they offer a food selection that is not easily found at most brick & mortar pet stores. I've bought toys, treats, collars, food for the dog and food for the cats. They are more dog oriented than cat oriented (however, they have been expanding, so that may or may not change). They offer a card where once you buy so many bags of food, you get a bag free. Now, personally this does not work for me because I am an avid believer that feeding your animal the same pet food over and over and over is not a logical choice. I have always changed the foods I feed the pets (or I mix several together) and have had no issues with that philosophy for over 20 years. So, I never really buy the same thing and can't keep up with annoying cards. Just a personal thing on my part. I went here when they were Premium Pets (still located off Rodney Parham) and I continued when they moved to Cantrell and then later changed to Hollywood Feed - I have had no issues with any employee's conduct, attitude or level of assistance when needed. My one & only complaint: When you ask someone what they feed their pet and their reply is some basic brand bought at Walmart or Kroger - do not tell them to stop or they need to switch. Offer a brochure or flyer on WHY one might want to consider other options - with websites that allow for personal education. That type of admonishment for someone who came in to buy a collar for a friend can be a turn off. It comes across as snobbish. Like why you should drive a Mercedes instead of Chevrolet...as if all of our budgets allow that. I did hear that once in there, which is why I mention it. Otherwise, the store is great and for any pet owner, it's an option.

A lot…read more So, when I say that Briarwood is the best animal hospital/vet clinic I've ever been to, not only is that out of a big sample size, but it's the highest praise I could give. Briarwood's folks were prompt and wonderful on the phone. They knew exactly what offerings they had, their schedule, prices, with no hesitation over the phone. They were willing to take in both of our dogs and a stray (THREE dogs) in one appointment, and that appointment was a masterclass in caring efficiency. Taking care of three dogs at once is impressive, but doing it with care and making sure each one gets the individual attention they need is unheard of. Not only did we get thorough checkups and necessary shots for everyone, but since they're a groomer too they threw in things like nail trimming (much needed for my old, slow dogs) just as part of the appointment. That alone was huge. I was particularly shocked when a little less than a week after our appointment, the vet we saw called to follow up and see how the stray was doing (he'd been malnourished and weak when we brought him in) which was above-and-beyond, and exactly the kind of thing I look for when trying to find someone to look after my furry friends. Seriously, I could not recommend Briarwood more!

I was looking for a new place for boarding anyway, and someone I work with uses Hounds Lounge. I loved the online registration. I made his account, entered all the contact info and uploaded his photo. You can even enter a credit card so you don't have to stand there trying to pay with a dog jumping on you and pulling the leash at the end of the day. You can also get a report card and photos on your account. The first day the happy staff greeted him and were expecting him (they'd seen his photo on his profile). He clung to me but the staff convinced him to come along. The second day he did not cling but trotted right up to the door in the lobby and never looked back at me. He knew where he wanted to go. I'm very excited there's a new location coming a few blocks from my house in North Little Rock. We'll send him to daycare at that location a few times before we board him at there this summer so he'll be fine with us going away with out him, and so will I.

We complained after the service and they offered to return within 3 days to 'fix it.' We declined because nothing could have been done. I would never recommend this service. I likely wouldn't even go if it was 'free.' Each groomer was kind to me as a customer.
