Established in 2025.
Tended Stone was founded in 2025, inspired by an idea that began in 2011. That year, my wife and I saw the neglect of the cemetery where our loved ones rest—uncleaned stones, withered flowers, and untended grounds. We understood that regular care takes time and commitment, and not everyone can be there often. But we also knew the comfort we felt when a stone was cleaned, fresh flowers were placed, and the space was lovingly maintained. That feeling inspired us to create Tended Stone, so others could experience the same peace. For us, this is more than a business—it’s a way to honor memories, preserve beauty, and ensure those we’ve lost are remembered with dignity, always.
Meet the Business Owner: John A.
Tended Stone was born from a personal journey. My wife and I have stood where many of our customers stand—wanting to honor loved ones but feeling the ache of seeing their resting places go without proper care. We experienced this with our own family, and those moments stayed with us.
What began as a way to tend to our own loved ones grew into a passion to do the same for others. Every stone I clean, every flower I place, and every moment spent on the grounds is a quiet act of remembrance. This work connects me not only to the families we serve, but also to my own history. It’s a reminder that love is lasting, and that the dignity of those who have passed is worth preserving with care, beauty, and respect.
