Rob and his staff were courteous, professional, responsive, detailed, and (most important of all) exceedingly compassionate. Their outstanding preparation, communication, and execution of everything made a very difficult day less stressful. They were fully present, entirely reliable, but never obtrusive or disruptive. That helped a long and grief filled day pass with minimal drama. All very efficient, but without a sense of being rushed or anyone's feelings being ignored. We are trying to make arrangements from out of state which meant we needed to manage our affairs over the phone. In our case, it was more complicated since the family member who passed away requested cremation and to be buried in a completely different state. Every conversation each of us had with the funeral home was absolutely respectful and pleasant. Most of my experience was with Lew Darrow in Poughkeepsie, but Kayleen was also very helpful. Lew made several calls to third parties to assist in minimizing stress for us. He was even willing to drive to the train station to meet our cousin who was coming from Long Island so he wouldn't have to be inconvenienced to get a cab to the funeral home and return back to the train station (although they offered to ship if we wanted). Excellent Customer Service is putting it mildly, as each call was taken with a true sense of care and consideration. We are very appreciative to them for making this a smooth process during such a difficult time.
