    Koenig Headstone

I recently required Putnam County Monuments service to engrave the Death date of my Father on the head stone we purchased when my Mother passed away 25 years ago. Not only were they very professional, kind and courteous, but they performed such and awesome job, it was incredible! I could hardly tell the difference on the headstone from what was engrave 25 years ago compared to today. They also took care of all my needs over the phone, whereas I reside in Utah. They even went the distance to send me a photo afterwards! Thank you so much Putnam County Monuments for being there in my time and need...You did my parents proud!

The most amazing monument any grieving mom could imagine .

They need to post the hours of when the gates are opened, especially on thier website!!!! We tried…read moreto find hours of operation on the Internet, couldn't find anything. We were finally able to call a friend and were told its opened from dusk til dawn!! Solid hours would be great to know, we were trying to narrow down a time to go visit deceased relatives. Can't say much about the business side of things here, but this funeral home is gorgeous, and…read morepretty accommadating. Been here on several other occasions unfortunately, one being last year when my cousin suddenly passed away. We are a big family, and a lot of us came to show our support, and it was rather comfortable in the place. Went here recently on Saturday May 13th for a smaller ocassion because my great aunt (my grandfather's sister), passed away. While we were a smaller crowd, it was short and simple. There was even a slideshow playing in the back, that was created by the funeral parlor. After the short wake, we waited in the waiting room area, where there was coffee, and bottled water. Suggestion is there should be a sign perhaps showing the water, because i didn't like the lemony water that was in the wake room. but overall beautiful place. Also though, the priest ranted on and on about god and had a very monotone voice throughout his speech. not a very good way to keep one's attention, and besides, not everyone is religous or grieves religiously.

What an awful place. First they told me that my father's funeral expenses were paid since he was a…read moreveteran and then after I signed their paperwork (not the financial agreement) they said only is headstone is covered. They said his cremation was covered in order for me to sign the papers. It wasn't. I found out later that you have to go to the VA for that and it's just a small amont. I feel so swindled by them. I managed to pay them from my father's medicaid account ( he died with nothing) and they were paid!!! They didn't even send me a copy of my dad's death certificate and gave me the runaround just to be spiteful or they are just unprofessional. They ignored my emails and just decided to be cold and heartless about all of it since they didn't get the full amount they hoped for. Every phone call I made, everyone said the same thing, "the funeral home is supposed to give you a copy". I hope no one ever has to use this place. I was referred by my father's nursing home and I will let them know that it is not a good place to do business. Especially not for the grieving. Shame on them. I'm letting my Legion Post know about this. They only want your money. Find another funeral home. This is one is rude, cold and unprofessional.
