Given outdated and inaccurate information by a provider. The provider's outdated information dates back to a change made 6 years ago. It is unacceptable that a provider is not up to date regarding such an important health matter. The provider furthermore is not educated regarding completing basic forms that health care providers are required to complete for patients with certain medical conditions. A letter of concerns submitted with zero follow up. Honestly, if you need up to date facts and educated medical providers who care about your health and wellbeing it is best to seek care elsewhere. I am baffled as to why TCIM has 3 stars. I have been a customer since 2021 when I had this whole health spiral from the covid vaccine. I had other issues but that sent me over the edge. My own research combined with TCIM has completely changed my life. As with anything you have to put in the work. They taught me that everything is connected. I have figured out how my lifestyle has caused health issues in my life... I am now the healthiest I have ever been. I used to have a chronic cough, I was tired all of the time, I had cold intolerance, weight gain and when I got sick, it took over a month to kick it. I had no idea that at the time I had nutrient deficiencies and hormone imbalances. It is only after I fixed all of that and my lifestyle - Now I don't get sick, I have energy, cold does not bother me, I am in excellent shape and if I do get sick it lasts days. The difference is lifestyle. TCIM helped me get there. I also put in the work and the research and realized the conventional medicine keeps you sick and so does our food system. As far as the Office Experience - I personally have not had an issue. I had one less than stellar experience once when I tried to find out if they took a certain insurance, they could not tell me and I called 3 times, but every other interaction has been great. He recommends different protocols that truly get the the root cause of a health problem. He is not the issue. His staff at the front desk leaves something to be desired. This place is horrid. Not only was I on a waiting list to see my daughter's primary care doctor for over a year, my appointment had been rescheduled twice. They kept telling me that they took my insurance but they didn't. I couldn't get a real answer from them except that I had to wait on this over 200 person waitlist! The staff and office manager kept telling me different things. Well fast forward to now we went to my daughter's first appointment to establish care, (the phone calls I got to reschedule didn't sound like Americans. They were clearly non English speaking and hired from a different country. So when I asked certain questions they didn't know.) We had to wait over an hour to be called back to the office where we had to wait even longer. Mind you I took my kids out of school early to come to this appointment! I waited over an hour to be seen and I was not communicated once from the front office staff about this!! No phone calls no courtesy acknowledgment in person saying sorry he's running behind. He'll be with you guys shortly. NOTHING! Why do they even have front office staff when you check in digitally anyways! They just sit there! Well it was time for my son to have his appointment to establish care and I had tried to call the office to ask them if our doctor was running on time today and to let me know if he is not so I don't have to take my son out of school early. Well again it was someone from a different country that says they are their virtual assistant and in fact not even near the office clearly. I asked if he could transfer me or communicate with the front office to let me know and he assured me he would. Well I never once got a call back. I called at 11am and his appointment was at 2:30 and I never heard from the office! It's impossible to reach the actual practice!!!!! You cannot and will not ever talk to someone from the practice! I was referred this place by a wonderful practitioner. I made an appointment 6 months in advance and confirmed with the front desk that they would take my insurance. The day of my appointment when I arrived I was informed that they would no longer honor my insurance policy. The person who was assisting me admitted to the mistake and blamed the miscommunication on her new staff. Then she proceeded to ask if I was canceling my appointment and that I would have to pay $75.00, despite me showing up to my appointment. I was in disbelief at how unprofessional the level of customer service was and would not recommend this business. read more

How is anyone writing a bad review about this place???!!!! They are the best! You can't be mad at them for not taking your insurance. First off, do you know how hard it is to find an integrative medicine office that takes insurance? If you don't, let me tell ya. I called over 30 integrative doctors in Los Angeles, none take insurance. Wanna know how much? $400 per visit! So, I went to my PCP and asked her. She contacted everyone she knew -none take insurance. So, FIVE STARS for taking any kind of insurance. Also, to see a Nurse Practitioner at TCCIM, they are less than half. I believe it was $180 for the first visit and then its based on time, as i remember. I don't know completely because I pay $5 a visit. Now that's outta the way. Melynda (who I keep thinking is Melanie -ugh! I hate getting someone's name wrong) is remarkable! I had a thyroidectomy in 2018. I was 125 lbs before my Hashimotos kicked in, and in March of 2021 I was 170 lbs. All of my doctors talked to me about trying to lose weight. I couldn't. I was seeing a wonderful endo, but endos are not trained to look at all areas of thyroid blood work. Melynda immediately said I was hypo and switched my meds and added an extra T3 med. In one year, I have lost 25 lbs and counting! On top of that, being hypo and on pain medication for a long time, I was, how do I say this in not a gross way, backed up. It got so bad once that I went to the ER. All of my reg doctors prescribed laxatives and stool softeners. Well, these work somewhat, I was always bloated. Melynda told me to take Magnesium at a certain dosage (I don't wanna say how much because it would probably be too much for you) and within 2 weeks, my 3 year problem was resolved. Brain fog and fatigue are almost a thing of the past! Dry skin? Not anymore. Memory loss? Still there a bit, but whatever about that. Depression is kept at bay for longer periods of time. My hair is fuller. I don't feel like biting anyone's head off. Honestly, it feels like a miracle that I found them. A friend of mine told me about them because his wife felt so much better after going. Please do NOT listen to these stinky reviews. If you have a health issue that needs some extra attention and thinking outside of the Western medicine box (but still implements Western meds and theories), book an appointment today! It can take months to get in, so do it now! Who cares if the front staff is rude (which I've never experienced) the first time you call will be the only time you will talk to them. Your team is so on it, that your NP or doctor has an assistant to answer any questions in between appointments and you will feel so cared for. These assistants are not assistants, they know so much about healthcare. They make you feel like you're Beyonce with the kind of attention you receive. I have been going here for 4 years now to get my hormones balanced and it's working!!! They know all the blood tests to really target the actual issue and the best supplements and lifestyle changes to help you actually balance hormones without birth control (although they are not opposed to western medicine when necessary). They are the best of both worlds! Western medicine + eastern/integrative preventive health. They have massage therapists and know how to get insurance to cover them for you. They have a chiropractor and acupuncture and in-clinic iv's available. They even have a little vitamin shop so you can get all your supplements. My current Doctor is Melynda Myers-Mallory and I like her a lot. One thing that was frustrating at first and why I waited a while to post this review was that they kept switching me around with different drs in the beginning cause the 2 previous ones I went to moved on (one to her own practice and another taking leave to raise children). Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get a treatment started or scheduled. All I wanted to do is schedule my IV treatments! not good service here. I had a phone interview with ERIK LUNDQUIST, MD He prescribed a regimen with IV treatments. He asked I call to schedule an appointment with his staff. I've called about 4 times trying to get schedule for IV treatments. Till this day I still have not been able to schedule anything. Ive spoken with nurses and nurse practitioner and still haven't been able to schedule anything. They've told me that they will call me back. Nothing no follow up or anything at all. How unfortunately since it's near me and I was looking forward to getting some iv treatments done. Must continue my search and again pay to have another consultation with another facility!!! I have been going to this practice since early 2020. The care they give is decent. My nurse practitioner ordered blood work and found nutrient deficiencies, mercury and candida in my system. She started me on a host of vitamin iv drips. I was also given a list of supplements which I had to purchase out of pocket $$. The thing was, I had verified they were in-network for ins purposes and I reached out to their billing dept to reassure me that the IV's were covered. Come to find out after a dozen procedures, they were not! It took many calls with ins and many attempts to get them to provide necessary documents ins needed to finalize claims. They had me place my credit card on file with the agreement that they can pull only a certain amount but they pulled almost $1000 in increments in one day. Needless to say TCIM is not equipped with accurate efficient, professional billing department. Don't even think of going to this place if you don't want to be ripped off. read more

I would be extremely cautious with this practice. My doctor, who I met once, proceeded to "fire" me after we had a difficult conversation over the phone. I was told that email communication is how this particular doctor likes to handle patients. In other words, if you don't have an in person appointment, communication should be handled by email. I hurt my back, and was in extreme pain. I sent this doctor a detailed email with my progress, as well as the recommendations from a back specialist I see. She never responded. More than a week passed and nothing. Eventually I followed up, and was told to schedule a phone appointment. When I finally spoke to the doctor, she made it clear that she didn't agree with the specialist's recommendation. I explained to her that I had made attempts to involve her, but she was unresponsive. She then proceeded to reprimand me, explaining that she couldn't be expected to answer emails or work 24/7. She also blamed a staffing change, but continued to scold me. She was rude, and extremely aggressive. The irony is that this phone call ended with me saying, "I don't think we're a good fit." A few weeks later, her office sent me a letter saying that they didn't want me as a patient because I was aggressive with multiple staff members. This would be extremely difficult as I only went to the practice once, had a perfectly normal appt, and communicated via email per their instructions. The ego is astounding, and I would not recommend anyone visiting this practice. I believe this doctor was probably having a rough day, and is frustrated by the volume of patients. I think that makes sense, but there was absolutely no accountability, and the aggressive behavior was completely inappropriate. I will say that the chiropractic side of the practice was very nice and accommodating. It's a shame that the medical side is so awful. read more

I have been going here for years, and this review has been a long time coming. I LOVED this place, especially Dr. Narayan--who is now gone. I've recommended people go there, and I have been grateful for their holistic approach, and at times human touch. But it's always been iffy in terms of billing and appointment flow, and after my last terrible experience there, I'm done. Here's my story, for what it's worth. About 3 years ago (pre-COVID by at least a year) I caught the flu. About 10 days after going to Urgent Care, getting Tamiflu and feeling on the mend, I called TCIM to cancel a massage I had coming up. It was suggested that I come in beforehand to see their new Dr. Valinga for an evaluation--if all was OK I could still go onto my massage. The day of I was feeling fine, but had a lingering, hacking dry cough after taking Mucinex which aggravated this. Dr. Valinga not only cleared me for the massage, he told me I was FINE, and even kind of joked about me feeling the need to see him. I then checked in at the treatment triage, waited for 30 minutes between appointments, and was led to the table. The therapist told me that she was catching up with clients because she had caught the flu, and we realized we became sick on the same day. She left, I disrobed, waited naked and shivering (it's always cold in there) on the table for at least 15 minutes. Outside I heard shushed conversations and my name, and then she returned to tell me she wasn't going to massage me because of the cough, and on the advice of Michelle, the office manager. So, it was OK for me to be around the therapist who caught the flu on the same day as I did, and OK to waste my time for HOURS doing exactly what they told me to do, even though I was going to simply cancel. I left upset, and then had to argue with them months later when they billed me for the appointment as a NO SHOW!! They also billed me for subsequent massages that I had immediately canceled. I never got a massage there again. As you can see from other reviews, there are/were a couple of members of the office staff who are prickly and combative. Others are wonderful (Christie and her sister). Recently I decided to try TCIM again. Despite 8-9 years of history there, I had to fill out a complete new patient paperwork package (about 28 pgs worth). I came in early (about 20 minutes). I stood unacknowledged while a receptionist spoke with someone at length. I was given more paperwork to fill out, and eventually led back to a room and left to wait in that room for a LONG time, texting friends complaining about the way you have to wait for doctors. Then Dr. Gama came in and told me she had another patient in like 10 minutes and we'd have to make it short since I "was late!?!?!" I told her got there WAY early, and had been there for an hour at this point. She looked flustered and told me no one had advised her I was there. After all that, I really liked Dr. Maggie Gama, and we discussed a plan to address ongoing issues I was having beyond the HRT I had come there for. I made some follow-up appointments, and they ordered tests and scans for me. That was on 3/16. On 4/4 I woke up to an e-mail from an unknown entity telling me I owed TCIM $117.33. It did not say it was a statement, nor did it tell me why I owed this amount (my insurance apparently paid partial). It stated that my credit card would be charged on 4/9. I logged into the portal and saw that the amount was the part of my $350 office visit that Aetna did not pay. So, I called the office, wanting to be sure my personal CC wasn't charged, but that the additional amount would be covered by either my HSA or Flex Benefits. I spoke with Ashley and could not get her to understand that I just needed to NOT charge that card, and that I needed a bill or statement! This should have been an easy fix, but I went around and around with her. She gave me the number of the billing company, spoke with them (everyone there was VERY nice and helpful) and paid the amount due with my HSA Paylocity card. So within 2 weeks of my appointment, all paid up and done, or so I thought. This morning I got a call from Michelle. I sat quietly while she gave me a whole prelude to an argument (WHY!?!? They were paid!). I had her on speaker while my mother heard the whole exchange and was incredulous. Michelle clearly called me with an axe to grind, misinformed and making incorrect claims, and when I tried to correct her she spoke over me and chastised me. I finally told her I didn't need this in my life, continually arguing with them, when I'm the patient and have ALWAYS paid my bills (thousands and thousands of dollars spent there). Even though I kept my voice clear and low (my mom commended me and said HER blood pressure was going up), and even though they were PAID, the purpose of the call was simply for a confrontation. Who treats patients like that? I canceled all my appointments and found another place to go read more

I am very sad to have to make this 1 star review, I still love my dr here but the chiropractic side hurt me and had very shady billing practices, surprise billing and just plain terrible. They wouldn't talk to me no matter that I called repeatedly and emailed. I came in with minor back pain and it became unbearable. Took much longer to fix whatever they did. I wasn't diagnosed properly and given pt exercises that were actually not appropriate for my condition, which I found out when I went to a physical therapist. I felt better from physical therapy almost immediately. Chiropractic here just made me hurt more. The bills were unreal too, who charges $400 for a chiropractor adjustment where they only see you for a few minutes? That's what they were trying to bill my insurance. Then they did some weird adjustments to the bill and auto debited without warning two huge bills, one last June and one last month. Really stressed my family out. And they won't talk to you. They are predatory trust me, stay away. I would love to change my review, if they would be reasonable and talk to me. Explain all the weird bills. Why charge so much for a cold pack or hot pack or even the electrical stimulation? I don't get the sense they are in it to help people. Sad sad sad read more

She said, "I can't tell you that, but I'm can give you our NPI number, and you can call your ins. co. to see if we are in-network." Wow, that's TWO strikes that they don't want or need my business. I like this place however I didn't receive a notice that they stopped taking my insurance. When I called with a medical need someone said they sent notices through the patient portal but they never followed up by text, email, or mail to see if the notice was received. In the EMR I've used in the past we can see if a patient opens a document but they didn't bother to check and follow up. I asked them to waive my appointment fee due to this experience and the individual said her manager was busy. Poor experience. read more

Our daughter is 7 months old and we have established care with Rady's we love it- but we're also curious about these offices for our girl and ourselves as they serve not only pediatrics. First of all, it took 2 months to get an initial appointment. We first had to send all of our insurance info, a thorough packet of paper work and ID verification. We were a bit hesitant as they have a $150 cancellation fee and cancellations need to be made ONE WEEK in advance, emergencies happen so I wondered what would happen if we had to cancel 2 or 3 days before for whatever reason but didn't want to find out. Well today, the day of our appointment my husband and I are both off work and we accidentally drove to Temecula valley internal medicine (off Clinton Keith rd- an honest and probably not uncommon mistake 15 minutes away- TCIM is actually only 6 minutes from our home). After Temecula valley internal med told us we were in the wrong place, We were upset/flustered first time parents as you can imagine so we called Temecula center internal medicine to let them know of our mistake we would be there right at 20 minutes into the one hour appointment. We were okay with only 40 minutes with the physician and they had all of our daughters extensively filled out medical questionnaires. Michelle their manager said we could not make the appointment as we would be 5 min past their window so she wanted us to reschedule but we would still be charged the $150. It's not like we didn't show up at all we tried! I pleaded for some grace as we were already on our way back. I was there in person and the woman at the front desk called her once and Michelle said we can't be seen still charged then the woman at the front asked if I'd like to speak to Michelle and I said yes, so Michelle answered her call and told her she would call me. She couldn't even come out to face me as I was there in person. I have yet to hear from Michelle. We waited 2 freaking months for this appointment and would need to wait another two!? No way. I pleaded with Michelle to allow us to make it with the time we had left, everyone has a bad day, it was already a lot to get out of the house and the time off. We still arrived to the office with 40 minutes of our appointment time left, no one in there. (Yes they are, and it was so frustrating to deal with them and no empathy). The front staff said the physicians have other patients which is ridiculous 1. Because the full hour should have been blocked for us it was the end of the day & 2. We would have been fine with a shorter appointment just to get care established. I am absolutely disgusted and sick to my stomach at how money hungry this establishment is. So they had the remaining 40 minutes to sit around for their $150 dollars but more importantly, they lost three potential patients and likely thousands of dollars. I'm on a payment plan that takes more than my paycheck away, I have to rely on others to pay the bill. They are wonderful until they figure out that you are not overflowing with money. Dr. Erik Lundquist is the best doctor I've ever had, my wife feels the same way. Dr. Lundquist, Dr. Narayan, Dr Ruiz...they are all brilliant. My children go to TCIM as well, we've been patients for 4 years. We get more than just a check up and prescriptions, we get life-style and nutrition coaching, through tests and analysis as they truly diagnosis the root of our health issues. They are doing real health care here, a blend of allopathic and holistic, not just pushing you through the allopathic prescription path. There are lot of options to try before drugs, but they aren't afraid to use them when needed either. Its the perfect clinic for people who aren't totally "alternative medicine" and you want to find the root of your medical problem and fix it. But you also don't like the typical doctor, who is just treating symptoms and pushing pills. They take my insurance, they have a nice office and nice people, they support the community. It doesn't make sense why they wouldn't have 5 stars, everyone I've talked to loves them...maybe only angry people leave reviews. read more

Well the saga continues and I'm going to post my update here and on their website. I called their office last Monday and received a message that they were all in training and they would return my call in 24 hours, then it hung up without any option to leave a message. Typical of their lack of professionalism. I was calling as I had received a bill from them. A past due bill with dates that span from 3/17 to 3/18 for $733 with PAST DUE stamped all over it in red.
