I went to my primary care doctor and asked to have my blood work/hormones to be tested. Instead of hearing my concerns and looking into my health she quickly prescribed an antidepressant and said "I was fine, in perfect health, we can test you in a month." I knew something was physically off and did not need an anti-depressant. I found a handful of amazing reviews from other women and Moms recommending Dr. Wali. Scheduling was easy and she was able to get me in promptly. My first appointment with Dr. Wali was 90 minuets long and she went over my entire health history. She was attentive, had genuine concern and made me feel heard. She ordered every test to dive deeper into all my symptoms and found the answer. I did not need an SSRI.. I was extremely low on iron/other labs and my hormones were off. She personally followed up after she received my results and before my follow up appointment, knowing I had a race coming up. Within days/weeks of her recommendations I begin to feel alive again and having less brain fog and more energy. Dr. Wali created an easy to follow health plan over the next few months that is realistic, financially reasonable and low stress while I continue to heal my body and hormones.
