I also haven't been able to commit to a strength routine that helps me get consistently stronger. I have an underlying health condition, so I'm also a big nerd about health and wellness science. R3Bilt's combination of heavy strength training, recovery through yoga, and mindfulness all in 60 minutes has been amazing. I'm never bored and love seeing my progress week-to-week. And the trainers are wonderful: motivating, knowledgeable, and always happy to help correct or modify my form to prevent injuries. I'm trying to think of any cons to post here, but in my 3 months of membership haven't been able to find any. Can't wait to keep it going!

There was an iPad/tablet set up by the front desk where I was able to check myself in. I was not sure where the class was located but staff was very helpful and walked me downstairs to the spin class. Their upstairs/main level seemed to be where all the machines are and yoga/pilates classes. The gym was actually a lot bigger than I thought. Downstairs was where spin classes are held and they had a women's locker room down there as well. The locker room was clean, had showers, hairdryers, etc. This was the first spin class I have taken that was not through SoulCycle and the bikes were a little different but similar enough that I was able to figure it out. Overall, not a bad class. I'm used to a bit more choreography on the handle bars but still a nice class! I would totally switch to this gym if only they were open a little later because I do enjoy working out at night sometimes. Parking is a little tricky in this area. If there's not a spot on the main street (Granite), I would check on the side of Bruegger's Bagels or on Adams St.

They split the class into three groups or into two depending on the class, with the 3G class rotates from row machine to floor to treadmill & 2G class alternating between floor + row & treadmill. Personally I enjoy 3G classes because less treadmill time (I loathe running). The instructors are super kind and helpful. My first class, I came in a little early before class started and they went through all of the stations with me, showing me what would be done in class that day. I like going to classes like Orangetheory because it gets me to actually run, since normally I am totally fine with skipping cardio even though I would like to incorporate more cardio in my workouts.

Lets you arrive and sink into your met. I had such an issue with my hip and was going to see a dr the next week for a shot, I took one of her classes and she added ball rolling and WOW is all I can say. Dr said I didn't need a shot and continue to take yoga he also said I didn't need another appointment. Jill and Gina, the current owners, have fostered an environment that is welcoming, supportive and focused on each individuals well being. The space is bright and airy and offers a varied class schedule. All yoga equipment is provided at the studio but you are welcome to bring your own. They offer virtual classes which provides flexibility and ensures in studio classes are never overwhelmed. Pricing is also reasonable with a variety of packages to choose from. Parking is never an issue with abundant street parking available. I've attended classes instructed by Jill, Gina, Heather, Christine, Theresa and Raman and highly recommend all of them!! I got the new student class pack and was taking classes before I knew it. Classes are great and so wonderful. They are challenging and the instructors motivate and encourage you to do your best and come to class as much as possible. They modify exercises in all classes if you have an injury. My favorite classes so far are Pound, Barre, and SparBarre. Next on my list to try? Pound/Barre combo and Strong by Zumba. I love it here, and truly feel like I belong at this studio. Sounds cheesy, but I do. I love the workouts, the instructors, and best of all, the atmosphere.

My personal favorite are her bootcamps and cardio kick classes. Katie Fitz works you out at bootcamp-it's never a dull moment between her circuits. She is definitely a challenge! Unlike other boxes that are geared towards advanced athletes, I find 617 to have a nice mix of movements with reps and weights that scale well across a broad spectrum of people. More emphasis on cardio as well. Other notes. It's easy to miss the building if you are visiting for the first time so look for the blue warehouse looking building sitting below the road. Also during busy classes, usually the morning ones, the parking lot can get quite busy and not fit enough cars. There is a lot in the park next door you can use and walk over.

There's even an outdoor section, complete with rope climbs, tire flips, peg climbs, and other cool things I can only dream about watching on Ninja Warrior. However, as someone who's been to countless gyms in the past, what really makes or breaks a gym is its people - both the owners/management and the clientele. By this same token, what sets CrossFit 617 apart is its people. I had a chance to sit in on a class the following day - the sense of community and camaraderie between the instructors and clients was evident from the start. Everyone goes out of their way to make each other feel part of the family so to speak, and that goes a long way.
