I have not only been a completely satisfied patient of Dr. Craig Davies' for roughly 17 year, now, but also refer my massage therapy clients and patients to him on a regular basis. Not only is Dr. Davies the finest chiropractor I have ever been treated by (and I have been in the care of one chiropractor or another since 1989, when an on the job injury left me partially paralyzed, until a chiropractor in NY state corrected the misalignment and restored the use of my legs), but his colleagues and support staff are exceptional and incredibly organized in every imaginable way! So much so, in fact, that I've come to think of several of them (and Dr. Davies, himself) more as trusted friends than just healthcare service providers. I cannot recommend him or them highly enough! P. S.: In another commentator's review, there were some pretty harsh words about this office's pricing, and as a fellow healthcare practitioner, I'd like to address these, if I may... If someone walks into an office, receives quality care and pays by cash or check before they leave, that's ideal. So if the fee is $100, the office has $100 it can count on to pay its bills. If the patient pays that $100 with their debit or credit card, the office receives somewhere between $91.40-95 for their efforts; the rest comes out in bank fees. If the office has to bill the person for their care, they'll only receive $80.45 out of that $100, after a 30-90 day waiting period, because of the percentages paid to the billing service (15%) and merchant service (credit card processor @ 5% average). And if the patient provides a health insurance card and a tiny little $10-20 co-pay, the office will have to invest at least an additional hour of paperwork and phone calls into the equation, and may have to wait as long as 3-6 months before they're paid somewhere in the vicinity of $42.37, after which, at any point in the next year, the insurer may randomly decide that the treatment wasn't _really_ as necessary as it seemed, at which point, they'll automatically withdraw those funds from the office's bank account! Meanwhile, the office's rent or mortgage, utilities, equipment, accident, property and casualty and workers compensation insurance bills, supplies, the employees' salaries, benefits, sick days and various insurance (health, life, etc.) packages all must be paid on time, no matter how much of those originally billed dollars actually make it in the door! As such, when caring healthcare professionals have different billing rates for what appears to be the same thing, it might help to ask yourself this one question: "Would I charge the same amount to pick up and carry a 50 lb. bag of sand from my front door to the car as I would to carry it ten city blocks?" If the answer is no, then consider how much effort folks like Drs. Barbati, Davies, and Brown and their employees (and all of the other healthcare professionals you meet) are actually investing into your wellbeing, before you knock them. From where I stand, they're a lot like swans gliding across a pond in a stiff crosswind: you only see them calmly gliding across the surface, but you have no idea how hard those little feet are paddling away, underneath! read more

What a disgrace when an owner doesn't even contact the patient when one of his employees (the office manager) had verbally attacked, broke hipa rights and threatened the patient. Nice customer service but she did act ablaze like someone from the hood. She just couldn't stop and control herself. It appears he is more concerned with the trash he employs than being appropriate to his customers. I guess he has to soothe the savage beast because he can't hire any competent employees, employees who keep miscommunicating and giving the wrong or no information which caused many complications in the life of the patient. Not only did they not take responsibility of their errors the office manager defended the desk personals errors saying she did everything right. I couldn't have my pt that I waited a month for because they didn't have a referral for me because nobody told me I needed one. And that is only one of her wild goose chases. All I wanted was for them to know they needed to educate their front staff better as not to inconvenience other patients like me. This office manage went crazy yelling, waving her hands, talking over me in a very sarcastic tone saying that she didn't feel safe with me in the building. She wanted me to leave and not talk to the doc on duty. She said if I didn't leave she was going to call the police. Then finally after she ranted at the doc her side he came out but she wouldn't let me talk to him privately. She stood in the doorway and wouldn't allow me to close the door. She interrupted me and the doc repeatedly with threats and her opinions of things that had nothing to do with the event of the day. I left being told by the fill-in doc that he would have the owner call me but NEVER DID. With attitudes and disrespect to their patients no wonder why they had to buy patients off by giving DD cards for good yelps.....hence the many good yelps read more

I was in a car accident over a month ago. I was stopped and hit from behind at a very high rate of speed. I have been in excruciating pain ever since. I went to Dr. Craig Davies the day of the accident. He has been the most amazing Chiropractor ever. He is kind, sweet and just absolutely terrific. I can't imagine having any other Doctor besides him. The staff is absolutely amazing. From the moment you walk through the door you are treated with nothing but respect. I was involved in a pretty bad car accident last year, leaving me in terrible pain. I was told I had to see a chiropractor and to pick one closes to me. I randomly picked Dr. Davies practice, knowing nothing about what treatments I would receive, because I've never been to a chiropractor I've only heard of them. To my surprise it was a really good experience. Probably one of the best experiences I've encountered for doctors. Dr. Davies was wonderful. I told myself I would never let anyone crack my neck, only because I've probably watched too many movies where people die from that. However I trusted him. He was very caring, not just the "aww that's terrible, I hope it gets better" more of the caring where you feel like they really care. His entire office is staffed with great people. Everyone was very friendly and warm. Over the months that I was there, it felt like they became this new little family I would see 3 times a week. I was sad I wouldn't see them anymore after he told me I was done with treatments. We all got to know each other so well. He is a great doctor, if you ever need a chiropractor, they are your people! I started coming to this office over 10 years ago from a family referral to see Dr. Barbati after a car accident and have been going back ever since for minor adjustments and back issues. Over the last year and a half, I have been seeing Dr. Davies and he is a miracle worker! I did something to my back a couple of weeks ago that had me in so much pain I couldn't even walk. My primary care just brushed me off and gave me pain medication. After a day of not being able to move without almost crying, I called Dr. Davies' office and Dr. Davies was able to get me out of pain in two visits. He is also extremely nice which is always a plus when someone will be twisting you around like a pretzel and making your back crack. The staff is very nice and knowledgeable in regards to insurance coverage. They have evening hours which is also a huge plus. Even though I live in Somerville, I will continue to trek it down to Randolph to see Dr. Davies because I know I will receive great care. read more

WOW! What an experience, working here at Barbati and Davies Chiropractic. I'm writing this with tears in my eyes because I DO NOT want to leave!! I moved from out of state and instantly found a home here. I have grown so much professionally while working here. Everybody is truly amazing, and that's an understatement. Starting with the Office Manager. From the very beginning, during my interview process, she made me feel so comfortable, and as I got hired and the months went by, I've realized I never had a manager like her. She has always led with respect. She knew how to bring the best out of us and was always an ear, to listen to our concerns and making us feel heard. As for the Doctor. Dr Davies is the GOAT! (Greatest Of All Time) He has such a heart of gold and will always put our needs before anything. The way he takes cares of both his employees and patients are admirable. He goes above and beyond. ABOVE AND BEYOND. He takes time to show appreciation to all his employees, which is rare nowadays. But for the Owner/Doctor to show constant appreciation just shows you his character and who he is as a person. You would definitely want to work for somebody like him. I really liked the doctor. He was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. However, trying to find out if my insurance covered the appointment was time consuming. First of all I need to start out by saying that at the time of my visits they had a sign in their waiting room stating that they would give anyone a $5 Dunkin Donuts gift card for providing a positive online review, and I suspect that is why every rating on here is 5 stars. When I called to make my first appointment I asked for pricing, they said $65 for the first intake appointment and $40 for every appointment thereafter. I ended up going in for 5 appointments, and I confirmed the pricing again in person upon arrival to my first appointment. I was expecting to pay $225 for my 5 visits ($65+$40+$40+$40+$40). During my first visit they gave me the business card for their lawyer partner (because I had been rear-ended in my car), and I found this unprofessional and somewhat a conflict of interest. During my 5 appointments I saw all 3 chiropractors (Brown, Barbati, and Davis), Dr. Barbati was my favorite. The staff over all were friendly but I found them too pushy. When I'd leave an appointment and not make another appointment for the following week I would get phone calls from them insisting I make future appointments because if I didn't that would raise red flags for the insurance company. After my 5th and final visit I received an invoice from my car insurance company showing me what they had been charged by Barbati & Davies Chiropractic for my appointments. Was it the $225 I expected it to be after checking on pricing multiple times??? NO!!! They charged my insurance company $787, a difference of $562!! So I called and spoke with the office manager Mirtha. She told me that the pricing of $65/$40 was special pricing for financial hardship cases only. If this was the case then why was this not made clear to me on the 3 different occasions in which I spoke to different people and asked about pricing!?! All 3 times I was told $56/$40, and it was known I was in a car accident and that I had car insurance, no one ever mentioned anything about financial hardship rates. She then told me what I was actually charged per visit: it was $152 for the first visit and $127 for each visit thereafter ($55 for manipulation, $45 for electrical stimulation, and $27 for the heating pad). Are you serious, $27 to use a heating pad? This looks like insurance fraud to me, and now the person who hit me has a higher priced claim against them then I intended!! When I asked them to refund the $562 back to the insurance company Mirtha said that it would be illegal and fraudulent to do a refund. I'm extremely disappointed and angry in their shady pricing!! I do not recommend Barbati & Davies Chiropractic and needless to say they have lost me as a customer. Consumer Beware!! read more

I have numerous sports injuries, but never had seen a chiropractor before. Dr. Barbati put me at ease, answering all of my questions, and gave me several adjustments that helped immediately!
