Our first experience was when I had them wire a 50 amp rv outlet on our house. With in two days, the breaker exploded, becasue they had installed the wrong brand breaker into the breaker box, causing the entire box for the house to explode. Luckly, nobody was hurt, and it didnt casue a fire. I called, and they let me know that they had fired the electrition that had come out, and send a different person out, who replaced the entire panel in the house. I than had them out to run 6 RV boxes, and set up a new, 400amp service for a commercial property. They qouted me a 2 day turn around time, and let me know they would handle everything, which seemed great. All seemed good, untill we got the City inspection report back, and failed. Not only had they attempted to submit this as a residental project, which it wasnt, they installed two seperate boxes, a 150, and a 200 amp service to try and avoid having to get permits for a comercial service. After, a literal year, we finally passed inspection. This all leads us up to my most recient challenge. One of the boxes they installed stopped working properly, so I went to take a look, to find it completly fried. I called a licenced electrition (not them) to take a look, and we quickly found the issue. None of the plugs had ground wires run to them. They just left that hole blank, which meant that there was no way to trip the breaker if it surges, causing it to explode. The new electritians exact words were "oh my god, this is how people die". I now, have a multi thousand dollar repair on my hand, but on the bright side, nobody died.

Update to my previous review…read more After my initial difficulty in connecting with Duhon was sorted out, we set a firm date to get things done. Their crew of three showed up at 9:00 AM and were through with everything before noon. I have lights at my side door for the first time in ten years, I have a place to plug in the electric mower and power tools that's outside the house, and my bathroom has an electric outlet for the first time in its life. The crew cleaned up after themselves well, so I didn't have to spend an hour sweeping and vacuuming debris. The final invoice hasn't arrived yet, but the prices given in the estimate were fair enough. I'm still holding back a star because of the initial communications thing, but I'm well pleased in the end and I'd use Duhon again.

I called source electric and left them a message stating that all the outlets except for one in my garage hadn't been working for a month. Brad texted me back and asked what was going on. I told him. He recommended that I check the outlets for a GFI reset and lo and behold I found one, reset it and all my outlets worked again. I had power again. All of this through a text. One company even quoted $1,200 for what is essentially a straightforward 4-wire circuit less than 5 feet from the panel. When I mentioned his price to other companies, the response was mostly to discredit him rather than justify their own pricing. Fortunately, I am very familiar with the electrical scope of this type of work, and his quote reflected the actual complexity of the job, not inflated pricing. He showed up on time, completed the install cleanly, and everything was done to code with a professional finish.
