Memo Record Shop is a true trip down memory lane for me. It's incredibly hard to find records in…read moreSpanish, but Memo's has multiple aisles filled with nothing but Spanish music. From Regional Mexican to Salsa, Tejano, Mariachi--you name it, they have it. The moment I walked in, I was instantly transported back to the 90s and early 2000s, rediscovering bands and artists I hadn't thought about in over a decade. It brought back memories of my mom's love for Mexican music and reminded me of how grateful I am that she introduced me to it. I think my generation is probably the last to really know some of these classic tunes. I ended up buying two CDs because they were so nostalgic and reminded me of my mom. Memo Record Shop has been around for 56 years, and I truly hope they stick around for many more. I'd love for my kids to shop there someday and think of me when they're digging through the records.
