Close-up of my ivroid strap button. Bob was thoughtful enough to include a felt washer.

Most places I called wouldn't install strap buttons on my ukuleles. I talked to about 10 different places, inner loop and the Sugar Land/Mo City area. No one wanted the risk of the thin wood cracking. Bob at Heights Guitar did it while I waited. Bob knows what he's doing. I'll going back to Bob from now on. I'm a novice musician and had a number of questions. Bob had an easy to understand answer for each one, no pretension, no posturing, no air of me being beneath him. Like I said, I'll going back to Bob from now on.

This has officially become my go-to place! Highly recommend people to bring in their guitars here for set ups and maintenance. I brought in two guitars and I felt like I received two brand new guitars when I got them back. My flying-v Shecter was in need of a full set up and it was done perfectly. Brought in an art-100 Ibanez that just wasn't sounding right and Ed was more than helpful as soon as I walked in and expressed my concerns on the guitar. He checked it out for about 5/ten mins and quickly knew everything wrong with it and explained it thoroughly to me. It wasn't even two days before I was able to pick up my guitars in immaculate condition. The sound coming out of this Ibanez sounds like a handful of angels whispering sweet songs into my ear. Well done Ed. Well done.

Ed is an excellent technician and a super nice guy. He did a great job installing a pickup on my guitar and setting it up.

He's repaired several amps of mine and I'm impressed with how clean and thorough his work is. It doesn't hurt that his rates are by far the best you'll find in town ($40/hr, 1.5 hr minimum). I usually do not do reviews maybe 3 total and all positive and with gracious accolades of of a job well done . So sadly I must vent my frustration with the recent work I had done on my Bass . I have a Luthier that I currently use for my work . He is the one who told me about the Muy Grande Pick ups . I researched and liked the reviews . Went to the shop on T.C. Jester to initially purchase pick ups and electronics to up grade my Bass , and told them who sent me and who I wanted to do the work . Brayden told me the Pickups could be bought but not the electronics that if I wanted the total package they would need to do the work . I agreed He told me they would have to build the pick ups and it would take about a week . A week later they called and said the pick ups were ready and did I want them to do the install . I stated that that was the agreement we made when I left my bass . I took the bass to show them so as to fitment problems were to arise they would know before hand , I told them to do the work . I called minutes later and asked how much longer I would have to wait and he said they were currently working on the bass now . About 30 minutes later he called and said it was ready for pick up / I explained I was approximately 70 miles from him and would pick up the next week this day being Friday . I had my cousin pick up the Bass the next week to save me a drive because he is very close to their business we met at a playing gig and he brought my Bass. I also had a new pick guard installed . Looks beautiful now . To start with the Guitar was not tuned after work performed which surprised me then I noticed the pick up installation the front pick up is angled with a dip towards the neck and the bridge side up the back pick up is the same way . I would describe this install very shoddy and just hastily thrown together . My thought was that perhaps my guitar Being a Fender Squire was not of the caliber to warrant a first class job from the installer . I have modded this Guitar with a Fender Highmass bridge and Gotoh Tuners and LaBella 760 FS Flatwounds and the pick ups and electronics were the final piece of my set up . The pickups are amazing and cannot be more happy with the range and tone spectrum up and down the neck the articulations of each note is superb I am happy I listened to my Guitar tech and Purchased them and now it is going to him to correct the botched install so my review is up and down / great product well worth the money spent but as far as going back to these guys never again . So I thought all the details were worked out and an agreement was made and trusted this shop was going to provide me with an install worthy of their product , didn't happen . So just make sure you know what your getting when you go there . I have read many of the positive reviews and I do not doubt them one bit , but for some reason my encounter fell short of the mark and I was amazed it went out the door like it was if their reputation was behind it . Wish everyone the best , cool vibes and great music make up for the disappointment . Do something to make yourself happy today , I might add I am a 75 year old man who has done a thing or 2 in my time and I am willing to pay the price but I damn sure want to get what I pay for and this did not measure up

It's tucked away a bit from the busy road, but you shouldn't have any problems. The parking lot was small. I visited on a Sunday afternoon so my car was the only car in the parking lot, but I was still thinking, "I better park in a way that I can easily backup or get out with my big SUV." The front door to the business was locked and you have to ring the doorbell. My first impression was, "it is wall-to-wall pianos. It was tight. There really was barely enough room to walk down the "aisle". Think of it as, if you're sitting at one of the pianos, people would have to jump over you like Super Marios Bros. style to get to the other side. They have more than one building and the other building wasn't as "tight". Our salesman, Larry, was quite knowledgeable. He asked us questions such as what we needed, price range, size, etc. He had us play on various pianos and explained to us the intricate details about each piano. Does Larry know pianos? Yes. Is Larry a salesman? Yes. We were in the market for a used piano, but they really didn't have used baby grands. Most of the used pianos were uprights. In the end, Larry helped us narrow our choices down to 3 pianos. Of course, the one that sounded the best was also the most expensive. In the end, we had to think about it. It is a big purchase and one that takes up a lot of physical space in your home so I urge everyone to sleep on this decision. What I appreciated about HPC is that they are knowledgeable about pianos. What I didn't appreciate was the fact they didn't tell me that the fancy piano I almost bought was not actually "German-made". It's made in China. Nothing wrong about Made in China, but if I'm spending this amount of money, I would like to know all the details. In the end, we decided to keep looking. Final verdict: I would not buy a piano from here.
