We made a purchase on Reverb for a G&L Tribute ASAT listed as "Brand New" only to find out from a guitar tech that one of the frets had damage and was either filed incorrectly or some other attempt was made to fix an undisclosed issue. Definitely not "Brand New" condition and not playable. You would think an Authorized G&L Dealer that lists a guitar as "Brand New" would be more agreeable to resolve this situation, but Infinity Guitars was completely unwilling. Also pretty unresponsive. This was not an instrument sold in "as is" condition. So we're stuck with an expensive fix. Sadly, with our limited expertise this was discovered outside the return window (of 2 days!) BUYER BEWARE. I see a few negative reviews but I recently bought a les Paul 60s faded from Randy on Reverb. Not only did he answer all my questions, he set it up and put new strings on it. He shipped it fast at a great price. It looked pristine on arrival and better than even expected. I had some questions after the sale and he responded immediately. We love this store. Lots of unique finds. We bought two guitars from here. The owner is super nice and knowledgeable. Finding a guitar should be a pleasant experience and not to diss any of the big chains but you can't go wrong here. The prices are fair and although their stock isn't big they are constantly rotating merchandise. Their FB page posts new gear as they come in. Pretty small guitar shop with a good mix of high end boutique gear and entry level guitars. Pretty good selection of high end amps, they had a nice Dr.Z stack when I was in there. They are a Suhr dealer and they had a few really nice models in stock. Other than that, small pedal selection, not may boutique pedals. Not a lot of string selection or other accessories. The guy working there seemed a little apathetic, but that's kind of typical. Unless I needed something higher end or wanted to custom order a Suhr guitar, I don't see myself returning. read more

I love this shop. If you are a tone chaser like myself, or a beginner in need of basics, Randy has you covered. I only wish I discovered this shop years ago. Want diversity and selection in amps and guitars? This is my new place. I was blown away by being able to do an "A / B" comparison between boutique amps like Tone King. Randy also had the biggest collection of relic'd specialty makes in guitars (like Big Tex) I'd seen. It was if this store anticipated all the cool tone tools I'd ever want. I put Randy to the test with some neck adjustment repair work on a Custom Shop Strat. He delivered on the spot -- it's back to new working shape! Excellent work done on two of my guitars today. I sent an e-mail to Infinity Guitars last week to get a quote on building a parts caster. The quote was more than fair, so I dropped off the guitars on Tuesday and they were ready to pick up on Thursday. The work done on the guitars was excellent, and Randy the owner informed me that it would be less than the original quote. I do not know of other guitar shops that would actually readjust their initial quote in favor of the customer. Thanks Randy!!!!!!!! read more

I've been a customer for a long time, 10-15 years. I took my wife to get her a ukulele, came in handy on a road trip. I took a coworker and helped him pick out an Art & Luthier acoustic guitar. I took my Dean Markeley amp for repair. I buy my guitar strings there. It's hugely important to have a neighborhood Ma and Pa music store close by because you can't just run to Amazon and come home with an emergency set of strings on the day before Thanksgiving weekend. He has a wide range of guitars and is gracious enough to let you play them when you have that yearning. I am certain that his prices are competitive. My amp repair was very reasonable. read more

I traded a PRS 58/15 limited edition, and a Caparison limited edition tat, for a Knaggs Steve Stevens, i decided i didn't like the Knaggs SSC, he than asked me for a 1000$ after only one week,i brought the guitar back in perfect shape and condition! I don't think this the proper way of doing business! He is always making racist remarks about people in front of people ,not cool customer is number one! Don't trust him and buyer be ware! Clearly, the first reviewer was expecting the usual Fender, Gibson, Taylor brands; all of which produce excellent high end and lower budget guitars. What Infinity has are truly boutique brands that are not available anywhere in Houston . I agree that Fullers has a larger selection. Both these establishments have their niche in this city. Guitar Center....well, if you wanna get your first guitar/amp combo pack or pay more that you need to for a high end or vintage (overhyped and only at the Westheimer location) axe, then go for it. Randy knows his stuff and can carry on a real conversation regarding his goods. read more
